Went to drop off a trailer here and no one was there. The hours said it was open but no one was there. It took us 4 times as long to drop off online. Would not recommend U-Haul to anyone.Joshua L.
The truck says 19.95 was charged 29.95 was quoted. 79 cent's a mile was charged .99 cents a mile . Said something about it before finalizing the transaction she said I'll take care of it and nothing was done.James M.

The man that waited on me at the desk had no idea what he was doing. It took an hour to complete the paperwork. He was rude with no customer service. It is a shame that this is the only U-haul location in Haines. It would have been worth it to drive 250 miles to Whitehorse, YT to not have to deal with the poor service.Joe B.

Too much cleaner on inside floors made it super slippery. Too much cleaner in back made the aluminum so slippery. Overall super clean and well maintained. Be sure to check windshield wipers-drivers side needed a new one. It rattled every wipe while I drove in the rain the first 4 hours of my trip.Luke V.

Have dealer check the following before renting out: 1. Tires for nails. After taking trailer I checked all 4 tires for air pressure. Found 1 with only 10 lbs. Found nail in tire. Returned to dealer and they had me take the trailer with a new tire to a mechanic to have it changed! 2. Bare wires on wiring harness. Two days into trip driving lights blew out. Found two bare wires on harness shorting out that blew fuses on my truck. The dealer was not very polite or apologetic for the inconveniences that her negligence caused us. We are very unhappy with this uHaul dealer.GLENN H.

Customer service was slow and took a long time for her to print out contract. We were anxious to get on our way. Assistance to help load the trailer was a horrible experience with their son helping and he used fowl language and demeanor was horrific. Ended up with a flat tire on the trailer which slowed down our process even more. Then come to find out from Anchorage office we did not even have a valid contract on the trailer. Thank God we didn't run into any hassle at the Border because they didn't check the trailer contract.Lisa M.

I reserved a trailer online weeks ahead of my need and called the local facility before picking it up and they had no record. They took info again over the phone. When I arrived in Alaska to pick it up the trailer was not ready as it had no working lights or so they said so I had to come back the next day. If I had not called when I did to double check, I would not have had anything after driving three days to Alaska. I was not happy.Scott H.

Better contact with customer when changes are made. Ordered 15' truck and when I called they said they changed to 17'. Normally not a problem but we had reservations with Ak Marine Highway Ferry for 15' truck not 17'. Fortunately room was available But cost us additional 91.00 for extra length.WALT A.

Friendly, easy pick-up. The truck was VERY easy to drive and a smooth ride even over uneven Alaskan roads. Well-maintained equipment. Driver's seat is bucket-style, so I used a small pillow to level it out. Bring your own tape or CD player as it just has a radio. Overall: very impressed with U-Haul!!!!Cynthia R.

We called U-Haul as we were enroute to return the trailer,and requested that we be allowed to drop the trailer at a U-Haul Center that was convenient to our travel route. We were told that we had no option and that they had routed us to a drop point that was out of our way, Reliable Storage. Upon our arrival at Reliable Storage, we could not get anyone to answer the phone to give us access to the drop area, so one of us went in on foot to determine what to do next. The staff person was on the phone and when she finally got off, was so involved in her issue of whether we were supposed to be there, that she and the assistant manager of the facility kept us waiting for access to the drop area for almost 45 minutes as they discussed how many trailers they were allowed to have. Repeated requests for them to open the gate and allow us access so we could un-hitch the trailer,were ignored. Their issue centered around how many trailers they would have if they accepted our drop. This was not our choice of drop locations; waiting for 3/4 of an hour; then arguing with the attendants about where to park the trailer; then getting the paperwork that proved we actually left the trailer and that it was in good condition; and then convincing the attendant that we were entitled to a copy of all the paperwork was among the more aggravating experiences I have had recently. Further, subsequent to our actually un-hitching the trailer, U-Haul called us and instructed us to take the trailer to alternate location. As we were already processing out (i.e. waiting for the interminable printing process of the paperwork), we refused to reconnect to the trailer. U-Haul made the decision of the drop location. I should not have had to spend over an hour of my time convincing the personnel at the location to accept the drop. Get your act together!!!! I was not impressed.GWENDOLYN L.

First, The truck was not there, so had to drive 7 miles from that location to pick up another truck, Then I had to go back twice to get MY $50 pay off My my account, Checked it to today & I just see $17 OFF OF My credit card. I am not happy about this whole thing.Thomas H.
The uhaul was not cleaned out. The Lady helping use was very rude on the phone and in person. She said she was the manager but did not know how to do anything. She even threw my credit card and I.D. at me.jennifer W.
first of all the "manager" didnt know the computer system at all.. Plus some kind of glitch in the system had myself and another customer there for about 2 hours!! We were both severly behind schedule.. I'll pay more to go with someone else next timeKYLE H.
when renting out a vehicle, if the one requested is not available and one that is greater in size has to be lent out, notify the customer that there was a change in not only the size but how big the truck actually is. We requested a 14' and received a 24' and were only notified that is was going to be a 17'.DREW L.

I filled the tank with $30 worth of gas and the fuel gauge barely moved. We then went back to put more gas in (to avoid your crazy charge) and the after adding $11 more dollars worth of gas- the gauge finally kicked in and I ended up putting in a 1/4 of a tank MORE than needed (because of your faulty equipment). You should offer a refund on the gas that I over added. While you are at it- you should refund it in the amounts you would charge if I did not bring the truck back filled to the correct amount.TONI T.
