I was very disappointed with the first location that I initially booked the truck at (Nirmaa Silk, 2665 Eglinton Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1K2S2) which was close where I was living. I had the original booking at that location at 11:00 am on Sat Oct 16, 2021. I arrived 5-10 minutes before the pick up time and the store was not opened until around 11:05 am. When I asked the guy who opened the store about my reservation and the truck he said he know NOTHING about rental and I should call them (U-Haul) to let the rental guy come and hand me the keys/tuck. There was no phone number posted on the store to call this rental guy and the guy who opened the store doesn't have and want to give me his phone number so I had to call U-Haul customer service. The customer service tried to call the rental guy at that location multiple times and he didn't pick up. This process took up more than 30 minutes and the customer service didn't reach out to the rental guy yet and the resolution was to either wait for another 30 minutes or go to another pick up location. I had to take two buses to go to the other rental location and receive the truck around 12:15 pm because there was no guarantee that someone will come to the original location to hand me the truck. This process delayed me who schedule more than one an half hour where I had to pay the move who was helping me just for waiting for me to get the tuck. I also didn't have enough time to use the elevator that was booked ahead of time to be used in the new location I am moving to because of this delay. I am very disappointed that this whole process is dependent on one person who may have overslept and was not available for any reason without a backup person who can get the work done in a reasonable and reliable time frame.Mohamed A.

Make sure the location is open at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time. Call the associate the day before and text them a few hours before. I booked the truck for 10 am. I was there at 9:30 am to do the paperwork. The associate arrived at the place at 10:10 am because I called him. We finished the paperwork around 10:40. My move was very stressful because of the delay. I had only a few hours of an available elevator in both places I was moving out and in and those 40 minutes were very important. It is no the first time I had similar issues. You should find more reliable partners and improve your pre-delivery process.Leonidas M.

I been renting uhaul almost every week, you can see my records. This is my first time renting to this place as the place I go was no rental available. They charge me twice as the rental I used to used. I don't recommend this place as this place is crooked. First they didn't send me my first receipt so i was wondering when are they going to send it. Normally you get a first receipt in the email. Saying this is the KM and this is your purchase and will be adjusted when the vehicle is return. I did not get one. I got a receipt after leaving him the key as I trusted the guy, as I usually do with other Uhaul rental place. Hand in the key and send the receipt to my email. I did not know that this guy will charge me more. Normally my rental will be close to 60-80 but not 154. I never had this much ever. This is my first giving a review to uhaul as I am not happy and also I am pretty sure that I am not the only one who had problem to this place. Check your review to this place. Take away your rental to this place as this people will destroy your the name of Uhaul. They are bad for business!! I know karma will get them.ROQUE D.
