Hammers is my go to place for rentals. They are really good to deal with. If I ever need a U Haul again, I will definitely use them again.

Becky BThe Uhaul truck was clean, but mechanically unsafe. The brakes were almost gone, made loud noises when in use, push the pedal to the floor and pray it stopped coming down hills. Transmission didn’t shift properly, got stuck in gear a few times, then clunked and bucked when it did shift. There is a serious suspension problem with that truck, it bounced and swayed like crazy, even when loaded. It was very difficult to keep it on the road, much less in my lane! The back tires appeared dry rotted. It was a 2 hour one way trip that was terrifying! I was not told about UHaul’s 1 month free storage offer until I literally read it on the dash of the truck when I got in it. I talked multiple times to multiple people, scheduled the truck a week in advance and not one person mentioned this. I rented a storage unit a few days after I scheduled the Uhaul. Literally thanks for nothing UHaul! My drop of point that I was promised on the phone was switched without permission to a different town, twice. I found out when reviewing the agreement document online. I was told it did not matter, just drop off the keys at any location, when I picked the truck up. Glad I called to verify because they WILL charge a wrongful destination fee, if you take it to a location that’s not on your agreement, even though they change it without the customer’s consent, or knowledge. I had to keep calling and saying this isn’t correct, ask for correct location, before, and during, the move. It was a dangerous, terrible experience! Unbelievably scary and frustrating. That truck needs to be taken out of commission and fixed properly. The service staff needs educated re: policies and procedures. Again, a terrible experience from start to finish!
