I had a terrible experience. Due to the neglect of the owner Mark Francoeur and his staff my storage unit became a home for raccoons for approximately 8 months. Raccoon latrines, feces , urine and claw marks ruined 95 % of a lifetime of my valuables. A large hole at the end of the unit unnoticed by the staff became a runway to my unit. Mark Francouer took no responsibility for the incident when I requested appropriate compensation for my loss by requesting either a full refund or monetary compensation for not only the financial loss but most importantly the emotional loss and sheer disappointment of a person I entrusted to keep my items safe and secure. He never apologized. At our meeting he was rude, condescending, claiming simply it was an act of nature when in reality the unit facility was not regularly inspected as it should have been . I warn people never to rent from Hampstead Self Storage. It's one thing to have your items ruined in addition to an owner who is clearly unprofessional and unwilling to appropriately admit a mistake , apologize , and compensate for a significant error clearly caused by the neglect of not routinely inspecting the facility. I run my own business and customer service and satisfaction is top on my list always with my clients. You will not find that with Mark Francoeur at Hampstead Self Storage.
