The miles the truck read I drove were more than what I actually drove. I did the math and also was using a gps to let me know the distance. I picked up the truck 1 mile and a half from my house. Drove 7 miles to were I was moving , twice. That was no wear near the 40+ miles I was charged. Very upsetting and unhappy about that.alexander C.

This pick up location was in a true value store. I had made a reservation for a 10 foot truck, included credit card details (it said no charge was due at that time) when i arrived to pick it up, the man working said he couldn't rent me that truck because there was a reservation for it the next morning at 10:30 and I needed it the next morning until about 11. He precedes to tell me that they don't have any other 10 foot trucks but I could rent a 15 footer. At this point, it's almost 4 in the afternoon and I desperately needed a truck! Instead of being able to transfer my reservation and keep the same form of payment, he charged me $98 and said that if I returned it I would get a $66 refund (which makes more sense because the 15 foot trucks rent for thirty bucks a day) First of all, an important detail to recognize is that the gas light was on when it was given to me. The thing was completely empty. Next, upon return, the gauge was a fraction of a hair below the quarter tank mark, and one might think that due to the fact that there was nothing but fumes when I picked it up, the guy might give me the refund, but he did not, and to make matters worse- was rude and antagonistic! I was already charged almost $70 for the gas alone- I understand that gas is very pricey these days, that's why you charge a $1.09 per mile! This guy just seemed to go out of his get more money out of me! He wouldn't even honor the cost of the 10 footer, which would have been the right thing to do after refusing to rent it to me. I have rented a lot of U-Haul in the past several years and this is the worst experience I have ever had! This place should not be allowed to facilitate U-haul customers! I never write complaint reviews but then again, I never felt so cheated and taken advantage of with any of my other rental experiences.kara B.

Quick and courteous, what more can you ask for. The place is very well organized. The trucks were clean and relatively new. Based on past experiences renting equipment in other places I expected it to be 15-20 minutes in the office. I was doing the inspections within 10 minutes and ready to hit the road.Alexander J.

Incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful service. We didn't have all the necessary equipment needed to use the dolly-tow and were able to purchase it at the store. The gentleman even helped us connect everything. 10/10 would rent from this location again.Miriam E.

Service was friendly and type of vehicle was available. Vehicle was dirty inside and out. Cab area dirty, steering wheel sticky. Leaves in the cargo area. Smell of smoke and cigarettes were overwhelming. Given that we are still plagued by COVID-19 it was extremely troubling and frustrating that the vehicle was apparently not cleaned after last use. Cleaned the vehicle myself. Our family is a long time U-Haul customer and we don't recall having such a troubling, concerning and poor experience. David and Maria MelendezMARIA M.
The truck almost got stolen before I could take it and get gas for it. I was billed for two days and gas service. I was not able to place the gas in the truck. I also called. One a half hour before the return time.Perfecto M.

The person that worked the front counter had a lot of smart comments and snide remarks. He was unprofessional to the customer ahead of me and then when it was my turn, he did the same. His comments centered around my declining of U-Haul insurance and he asked about my personal insurance on my vehicle. The expressions of his opinions about my purchase was unprofessional and uncalled for. If I had the time, I would have gone to another location. He does not represent the company with integrity and excellent customer care. In addition the truck was delivered with the same amount of gas that it was rented with, one half gallon, the mileage used was 40 miles. Once I received the receipt via email, they charged of 27$ for 5 gallons of gas. Practically, that doesn't even make mathematical sense. They have ripped us off. I will call tomorrow to see about getting my money back.GRENELLYA H.

I checked in online because I got an email stating it will save time, when I got to the place i was told it didn't matter if k checked in online. I had forgot my DL because i took it out of my Wallet to take the Picture that was request, well I was not able to get the truck because the coercÃ would not take the pic if my DL he wanted the physical card. When I went to pick up the van, I was very clear that I was not sure of the return time. Isidrio told me that it would not be a problem because they would just charge me for every hour past the return time. He told me to bring it back whenever I finished my move. Then I got a call at the return time from another guy who very rudely and aggressively told me that I was past my time limit. When I explained that this wasn't what I was told, he again very rudely and agressively said "Bring the van back now it is reserved for another customer!" I don't appreciate being yelled at or spoken to like I am trying to steal the car. I don't appreciate being shouted at like I am a dog. I don't appreciate being lied to when I ask for an open return window. I will never return to this place of business and will definitely place this same review on Yelp. I had to stop all of my plans, empty the entire van at a friends house, and catch a very expensive Uber back to my house all because of this terrible customer service and disorganization of the people who work at this Uhaul/TrueValue on Florence and Avalon.TAMAI J.

Had the absolute WORST experience renting from you guys. We rented a truck and appliance dolly and I hired movers. When we arrived, the dolly that we ordered wasnt there. I had to drive an additional 25 miles to pick up dolly, all the while paying hourly for my movers, paying for gas and paying per mile. To top things off it caused me to miss my flight. This service is laughable and I plan to be very vocal about that.Stephan P.
