I did the hookup myself while the staff was taking care of customers at his store. He only came out to take a photo of the hookup and then returned back to work.

DESMOND RI have always rented from a U-Haul franchise but the trailer I needed wasn’t available so I used a 3rd party retailer. The process was disorganized and unhelpful. U-Haul has always been fast and efficient and also helped hook everything up properly. The guy at this location fumbled through the process on his cellphone and offered no assistance with hooking up. While I didn’t need it there was no offer. They also added insurance to the rental that I declined online. I wouldn’t recommend this location for anything. I will always visit the actual U-Haul store to n the future.
Zachary AThe man who helped me out was brand new so he was learning so pickup took longer than it should but I’m glad he knows how to do it now. He should have prompted me to do a light check but I had to and we discovered a fault in one of the brake/turn lights. After I messed around with it, I noticed that when I wiggled it around it would start working. I then got a call from someone who worked for U-Haul telling me how to “fix it.” I did what he said and it worked, for about 50-75 miles at a time. I drove the trailer over 600 miles in 2 days and would have to stop every time to make sure I had functioning brake and turn lights because my truck would indicate a fault. There was no other trailer in the size I wanted available and I was not compensated for my inconvenience, or potential ticket, or potential accident.

George OGentleman was nice and made every effort to assist us. Technology would not work. Had to answer the same questions over and over again when we already checked in on the app. Lot was dirt and mud.
Bryan BThe check in process was very frustrating. After submitting our picture and Driver license we had to wait an additional 10 mins for processing. Also the cab was leaking on both side while it was raining and we got very wet.
