When I went to pick up my U-Haul I had two reservations because the day before I called uhaulhad everything set up for a 15 truck when I called the next day they couldn't find my reservation so when I made a new reservation I didn't get the truck I wanted I wanted to 10 took an hour out of my time to get it figured out and I had to make two trips cost me more money all because I didn't get the truck I wanted. Not including I wasted a whole hour that I didn't even get the truck until an hour later.
Chrissy BWe reserved a 10 ft truck. I was called the day before our scheduled pick-up day and told they wouldn't be available on our pick-up day, but we could pick it up a day early at no extra charge. My husband went to pick up the truck. It was a 15-ft truck, bigger than we needed. Then, we had to pay an additional $15 for an extra day of insurance.
JARED BMy pickup was moved 20 miles further and at the same time, my mileage was reduced by over 70 miles without my awareness. Felt like a bait and switch.
Dustin MWe reserved a truck at the Chestnut location in Louisville Ky only to discover it was not there upon arrival. Very frustrating to staff and customer at that location. Had to drive an hour away to secure another truck on a late Saturday afternoon. The staff there was kind and mentioned my issue was a frequent occurrence. This service “taints” the brand and makes customers question choosing you in the future.

Lisa KThe owner was very kind and helpful. There were no blankets and we ordered 5 dozen. It’s not the owner’s fault because U-haul moved our pickup point due to a store closure. And they upgraded our truck to a 26’ at not additional charge. We were very grateful for that.

Gary AThe staff told me it would be .40 a mile for every mile over… it was $1.00 a mile. That should be clarified. We were taking it for Flood relief and there was a place in Whitesburg,Ky to return it so why was it not on the return list? Instead I had to return it to Wise, Va. That would have saved me the extra mileage fee.

Jennifer CFirst time ever that the Uhaul smelled bad. Smelled like a dog kennel. My wife couldn’t help load as it triggered her asthma. Except for the smell, it rode well and handled hills well.
Jeff PThe pickup location had the fuel level at 3/4 at the time of pickup. The actual fuel level was below 5/8. I took a picture with the mileage reading the same as the starting mileage on my contract. The price of the rental also changed twice over the phone without any of my requests changing. Also my allowed mileage was 127 upon pickup. My ending receipt said 118. Extremely poor experience. I will not be using uhaul again. I will be sharing my experience on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Rachel SAn employee called from the renting place the day before pickup and I let them know I would pick it up later than previously scheduled due to some meetings that got schedule for me. The meetings were scheduled after I chose pickup time. He rudely said, "Then I should have changed the time." When we got to the place to pick up the truck. I waited quietly in line for 5 minutes. He never addressed me, while he slowly worked with the person infront of me. There was ample time for him to simply say, "Hey, are you here for a truck rental, or what can I help you with?". Instead, I kept waiting, then finally asked nicely is this where I pick up U-haul trucks? His response was rude and demeaned me about patience. Then he treated me badly when signing up. I won't bore anyone with the story, but basically threatened that he wouldn't give me the keys to the truck. This is after we drove 2 hours to get the truck. On top of all that, we ordered a dolley, and the place didn't have a dolley. This is your typical southern Indiana rude person and glad we are moving. If I am the U-HAUL company, I'm not allowing this guy to rent our trucks.
Mark MThis is not just a U-Haul but a parts store so I would not expect it to be immaculate. However, Joe is friendly and helpful and I have used this place several times & wouldn’t see a need to change.

Ashley RTried using a dolly to tow a vehicle. The vehicle was too low to the ground to use. Returned it within the hour and was sadly disappointed that we couldn't get any kind of refund back from U-Haul.

Luke STruck was great. The place I rented from? Not so much. "Don" was such a rude person and makes me never want to rent from that location ever again. As sketchy as that place was, I'm surprised you even use them as a pick up point anyways. Thanks Uhual for providing a great truck, but pick better suppliers to do business with. Thanks! :)

Timothy GI am a disabled female traveling with my 6 mo pregnant daughter. Your uhaul representative who waited on us was friendly but made no attempt to show us where the trailer was, nor did he come out to help us hook it up. I feel it was his responsibility to make sure it was done correctly. As it turned out, the trailer was not connected correctly and we ended up losing it as we drove over a bump in the road. Luckily, no one or nothing was damaged, but I will never rent anything from uhaul again!
Linda MOur Agent was very friendly and personable. The inside of the business, a farm implement business, to some, may seem cluttered and undesirable. However, being an old country farm boy myself, I felt at home and it seemed like I was dealing with an old friend. Don't mess with something that is working.
