Very hard to find the location. It was at a 5-point intersection with little, hard to read signage. GPS did not tell me to turn into the hidden driveway.
CHARLOTTE LGarbage was left in the truck from previous driver. Key wasn’t left in lock box. Waited for a half hour for the key. Then the guy mentioned to me , about bringing the truck back. After I requested a drop off in PA. Which is a 1hr 1/2 away. Poor service.
Jabari ANo lock for rear container was provided. Did not have Furnature mats that were reserved. Day before change of location more than 25 minutes away. Price charged exceeded the estimate by over $100
DAVID BTruck interior and tailgate required sweeping and cleaning. Fuel amount was not accurate. This is a body shop, not a storage facility, and feels like one. UHaul is a secondary business. Staff is cordial and accommodating, but it's not an inviting location.
STUART CUnfortunately we had an issue with the drop off. Our pick up location was changed last minute after reserving weeks prior. In error, the new location changed our reservation to round trip instead of the oneway we requested. Thank God the return location Macs towing service stepped in and helped us resolve the issue!!! I will Definitely be using them again A+
ERWIN SGreat experience and Harney's Corner Auto Body is the best place to rent from in my opinion and I've used a few places in the area.
Karin TAmazing customer service!
DAVID FVery friendly and patient in answering all questions.
Kevin OWorst move ever! Do not use self pickup if you don't have multiple devices to attempt it or you require supplies. Took an hour and a half, 2 different phones and 2 times using help chat to get through the pickup process. Did not have the hand truck or pads I ordered on the truck. Called customer service and was sent to the closest uhaul store who told me they were not legally able to give me the equipment I was supposed to have. After another call to customer service I was able to get the pads I rented, but not the hand truck. Had to buy a hand truck and pay for an extra 2 hours of labor because of the delays.
ADAM Bblankets i ordered were missing so i had to go to main uhaiul location to get them - very irritating as i was on a tight schedule
LTaylor SNeeded a truck for a last minute move. Very easy check in and return. The app was Easy to use.
peter sEvery thing was good
eira aThe recommendation is for the actually U Haul company not the dealers. Was really disappoint that I could not get the equipment I needed at one location. The fact that I had to hunt high and low to find equipment to do a one way move was next to impossible. Had to use a lot of my free miles on my truck rental to drive to pick up this trailer. Also had to get the truck over 30 miles from where my stuff was stored. It was the closest location to get a ONE WAY 15’ truck. U haul use to be about one way moves now it seems it’s just for local moving. Places would have tons of trucks and trailers but only one was for one way. Hopefully I don’t have to move again because U Haul is not up to it.
Susan EAwesome team here.
Elsajed HMy comment has nothing to do with the location or equipment or anything like that as all of that was awesome. My complaint is with the app....trying to use the U-Haul app to pick up and drop off the equipment is a complete and utter disaster. Something needs to be done to upgrade that app and make it more user-friendly. I have had this happen at various locations where I've rented a U-Haul as have other friends and colleagues. And it has nothing to do with our phones or the connection or wi-fi. It might be the worst app I've ever used for anything.
Karin TI requested two dollys and I was charged for two but the location only had one but because this was online pickup there was nothing I could do but pay for the 2nd dolly. Also the app is extremely slow and has a lot of issues which made me waste more than an hour.
Jagjeevanjot SMy reservations were at Lawrenceville station rd. , but the people there did not set up the reservations properly. I called customer service and they re-directed me to Harney’s on Princeton Ave. He had everything set up and the time was adjusted. They were fine.
David SThe van we picked up Sat. morning was a mess: • The cargo area was pretty dirty, I took a picture of it and uploaded it during my pickup confirmation. I cleaned it up a bit after we were done but I don’t feel that I should have to clean up after the last person (or the last few persons) that rented it and didn’t clean it up. • There was body damage on the passenger side near the rear wheel well; this wasn’t showing on the pictures during the pickup confirmation, so I also uploaded a photo of the damage. • The A/C barely works. There’s no airflow from the vents in the dashboard. Whatever was leaking into the cabin from wherever it was coming from was barely enough to make it bearable for a 1 hour drive in 93 degree heat (we drove to Philly). Tried all the settings to no avail, there is no airflow. • There’s a loud hissing sound coming from behind the cabin, it seems like it’s right at the front of the cargo area. Starts as soon as you start the engine and stays on until you shut the engine off. It’s so loud that it’s tough to have a cell phone conversation using speakerphone. • There is a warning on the dashboard saying “Service Tire”. I checked the pressure in all the tires before leaving and topped them off, but there was nothing that indicated that one of them was going flat. Must just be a periodic service reminder? • The radio does not work. You can tune a station but the speakers appear to be disconnected. Again, played with all the settings, didn’t find anything that we could change that would make it work. It’s kind of disconcerting to rent something with damage on the body and U-Haul is asking me to confirm that the pictures showing no damage are correct. What if I was in a real hurry and didn’t have time to take pictures? Seems a little like a scheme to get me to pay for the damage. This bothers me more than anything else that we experienced with this van. The price was good on this rental, I can appreciate that, but the van is in dire need of some service bay time. The sad thing is that I was going to be given a brand new van at the pickup location but the moron that rented it prior to me didn’t leave the keys at the drop off. Lucky me! 😉 I don’t like to leave bad reviews where everyone on the internet can see them. I know that people who have a good experiences don’t usually leave reviews, so all you have is the bad ones to look at. Hopefully you’ll take my effort to report all these problems in detail as a way to improve your future customers’ experiences.
Scott RFast easy pick up and drop off
James MFriendly associate. Easy transaction.
Manuel MThe windshield wipers didn't clear the rain off window. We discovered leaks in the truck roof so we had to buy tarps. A bag of moving pads was soaking wet & unusable. One piece of furniture got wet. These are things that should have been checked by the company not discovered by us later. When we were driving home the check engine light came on & the ride was very rough.
