The gas tank should be full when the truck is ready for pick up, otherwise it's too difficult to return the truck with the same amount as when it was picked up. If a customer hasn't selected an insurance option then the attendant should not be allowed to add any. If an attendant adds any such insurance without the permission of the renter, it should be refunded immediately upon request! The same should hold true for any other extras that the renter didn't give permission for. The online form should not fill in any options by default. Only the customer should be able to select any options, including insurance coverage!

WILLIAM SThis location added $25.00 in insurance to my rental WITHOUT asking me OR for my permission so as far as I am concerned this money was STOLEN from me !!! I reserved this equipment online and I DID NOT add the insurance. This is a common practice when using a NON franchise locations but that doesnt make it right !!
DENNIS LThe truck was dirty in the interior cab and rear truck; blankets were not folded and missing some we paid for; dolly was not available, there was a long wait and the employees in the garage seemed unable to work the software. Because they had software issues, the garage sent me to the convenience store to check out which took longer because of the interruptions. The person behind me in line at the garage actually left before me. Would never use this location again and recommend UHaul discontinuing service from here.

Tenley DMy only issue was with the reported fuel gauge level. I brought the truck back with the gauge reading what it was when I picked it up yet I was charged for 3 gallons of fuel with no explanation.

Bruce GWhen I arrived my rental equipment was not in the truck. When I went in, I found out it was unavailable. It would have been helpful to receive a call ahead of time to give me time to make alternative arrangements to secure necessary equipment. As a result I had to go and buy a dolly as I could not secure any rentals that weren’t over an hour away.
Benjamin AThe vehicle I was driving was not clean at all and smelled bad. Even though the vehicle was not dirty by me, I had to say clean because there would be a $25 cleaning fee. Also, the location I first rented from was later changed by U-Haul to a location 15 miles away because they did not have a vehicle. Despite this, I was charged an extra fee for a few miles. I was disappointed.

Cristina MThe location itself was excellent . I went for pickup and the U-Haul system was down . I was picking up in my drop off location too and this completely messed the whole day up . I had to come back towns away when the system was back up. There shouldn’t be a single point of failure. The shop said that happens all the time. That is horrible for customers. I asked for a discount because of the inconvenience and U-Haul told me no. That’s even worse. But the shop didn’t nothing wrong they were great , it was U-Haul that was horrible.

AMARILIS DI arrived about 8AM and went to check in online and the system said something "had not been assigned" yet and to call a number, called the number and it said there was a 20 minute wait on hold. Thankfully the office there was open and I was able to go in and pick up the truck but what would have happened if the office was not open? The online pickup was not a good experience for me and I would be suspect to rent again if I had to pick up the unit after hours.

John PThe truck we had should be retired. The ramp only extended 2 feet. The Drivers side door never fully closed. Felt like the shocks were gone every time we hit a smell bump.

Ann JThe gas in vehicle was below 3/4 of a tank when I picked it up. I drove less than 30 miles. I replaced 3.5 gallons upon return and the guage read 3/4 at drop off (More gas than was in it when I picked it up!!). Helens charged for another 3 gallons of gas at an huge markup. I also returned it early and they were closing closing 1.5 hours early (before actual closing time of 4pm) Had to drop key in drop box. I felt I was cheated and ripped off. So, I will NOT rent here again!! I highly recomend that you NEVER rent any vehicle that is not FULL tank in the future .

Went into garage and told guy it was dropped off and where and was just told ok no worries the guy will check it all in later on. Wasn’t surprised after the start of the rental that the ending would be just as non productive.

Kirols AOriginal drop off location that I had scheduled was 194 church street in whitinsville ma. I got there to drop off my truck and got yelled at by the manager because he already had 3 trucks on the lot and that’s all he was supposed to have. I had to call a U-Haul customer service to get assigned to a new drop off location, and drive another 10 minutes to get there
