I am upset that I was required to drop the truck at this location 36 miles away when there was a Uhaul within 5 miles of me as well as we passed multiple locations. I was also charged for 2 extra days even though I returned the truck on 7.2.2025 and had extended my reservation to 7.2.2025. I was charged $900 plus then $60.53 and then $60.53 again. Uhaul currently owes me about $250 going back to May 24th when a $100 deposit was to be refunded due to movers cancelling on me. Plus the $120+ for 2 extra days which was already paid and the extra dolly I had to rent. This is not a reflect on Holdens Wrecker service but a reflection on Uhaul.

Best Uhaul in the area.
Mark WThe older lady who works there was an absolute gem but uhaul claims to be having glitches with the app. I made a reservation on Thursday evening to pick up a rental on Saturday at 8:30. The lady had a line so I waited until it was my turn and she asked me what my name was. I gave her my information and she said I don’t have a reservation for you. I pulled up my app and showed her my reservation number and how Holdens was the place I was to pick it up. She then tells me she doesn’t have any trucks available and I told her I needed that truck to move. She asked how long I needed it for and I said my reservation was for 4 hours. She then proceeds to tell me that she has a truck I can use but someone else was coming at 3pm to pick it up so I’d need to have it back by noon. I was frustrated but thankful she was trying to help me. I finally got the uhaul after 9am and rushed to move. I didn’t have enough time to load all my big stuff. I dropped the truck off and the lady told me I didn’t need to do anything else but take a picture of the gas tank and mileage for my reference. Come Sunday morning, I need to make another reservation because I didn’t have enough time the day before to load all my belongings and I can’t make a reservation because the lady never closed my rental from the day before. I ended up asking my children’s father to put it in his name and we got a reservation for 11am at holdens. We show up there to get the rental and a truck is blocking all of the trucks. I call uhaul and get transferred to a gentlemen named James and get put on hold for 45 minutes only to be told to go to another location to get a truck but they only had a 10ft when we reserved a 15ft. Now that meant I was going to have to make multiple trips bc the truck was not big enough to fit everything else I needed to move. I explain to James how frustrating I am and ask if there’s anything uhaul can do for me becsuse I spent money on a uhaul the day before, got charged for the one at holdens even though I didn’t get it and then got another charge for the one at the other location. He tells me holdens has a service guarantee and should give me $50 but I’ll have to call and discuss with them which did absolutely nothing for me. I am extremely dissatisfied and want someone to call me in regards to my whole experience.

SAINTS TThis has nothing to do with Holdens Wrecker Service or the Abita Storage Co. but I reserved a trailer online with Abita Storage Co. and the trailer wasn’t there so I was redirected to Holden’s by the U-Haul directly, I’m assuming, and was told they had availability. Just an inconvenience to travel further away.

The next day let the lady know we were coming and inquired about how we could have even returned it Sunday if they were closed. No helpful response. Arrived to return at 3:58pm. Store hours state they close at 4:00p. They were closed at 3:58pm. Got charged two extra days due to inaccurate information and staff closing up shop early. Not a pleasant experience.
Joseph OThe New Tow Dollies that U-Haul has are slightly dangerous. I hooked up the tow dolly to my truck and sliced my hand on the safety cable that they use now. Not happy with the change from safety chains to safety cables. Besides that it worked well for me.

TODD MI returned the vehicle with more fuel than I left with and was still charged for 4 gallons. Also, I was not made aware that the cleaning fee and rental tax would be more than the actual rental. It may have been on the receipt at pick up, but the receipt was so blurry that I could barely make out the company logo or name at the top. The rental totaled more than I could have paid someone else in labor and a truck. Never again. I'll just rent a truck from Enterprise and make several trips if necessary with unlimited mileage.

Michelle PWhen I reserved it said mobile check in is available at the Collins Blvd, Covington, LA location. So, I chose that method. Upon arrival, it was not available.
Richelle MI originally was supposed to pick up from another location. I called day of to ask a question because I had never received the confirmation call. I was told they had my reservation, but did not have a truck in the size I ordered. We were uncomfortable having to drive the bigger truck. Then, I was told I had to go to another location 40 minutes out of the way to pick up the new truck and the location would not be open during pick up hours. But since we had requested pick up in person, I was unable to do check in from my phone. I then had to sit and wait for 20 minutes in live chat to get one response aside from the original “hello”. We weren’t able to take the truck until an hour after our new pick up time which made us even later. The truck also had a dent on the back bumper that was hidden in the pictures with an ice chest.

CHAD Dperformed check in with mobile app same as truck rental before had the owner call me and threaten to call the police on me for stealing the trailer. Had to return to rental yard to be screamed at by the owner because I took the trailer without checking in, I told her I did it on the app. if not allowed to check in with app for trailers it should put up a warning. I lost an hour of rental and gas to return to rental yard but still got charged full price. the owner very unprofessional screaming at customers and threating to call police. I have rented 3 trucks in the past 2 months and will not return.

GARY GOur original location and time was changed 24 hours in advance. We had to reschedule our movers and then when we showed up at the new location they didn't have the proper trailer. It had been switched for a smaller one. We had to drive across town to get the proper trailer. Very disorganized, time consuming, and hard to schedule movers. The equipment was well maintained and very nice. The lady at Holden's wrecker worked very hard to locate us the trailer size that we needed so we were thankful for that! People nice, U-Haul very disorganized.
William CMy original reservation was at Peacock Chevron. We made our reservation 3 weeks in advance and another customer was able to override our reservation and our truck was not there. We had to wait for over an hour after our reservation time for U-Haul to accommodate us with another truck.
