Beth T.This truck needed a lot of TLC before being sent on a 1100 mile ride. Passenger side front tire was worn pretty badly first off, I asked if it was ok and got a “should be†then while driving it, the belts were squealing the rear end sounded like it was shot and made a loud winding sound, it would run real crappy once in awhile and my god it had more air leaks then a screen door! The loudest truck I've ever driven in! My wife had to wear noise canceling headphones cause she couldn't handle it. At any rate, I did uhaul a favor by driving a bigger truck home for them and I feel the poorly running engine in the bigger truck cost us an extra $100 or so in fuel! I rent uhauls quite a bit for my business! Very disappointed for long distance! 😞

Jack C.The dealer, according to c/s, appeared to have cancelled/moved our reservation for a friend to use the vehicle. New p/u location showed no record of confirmation #. If not for a reservation Specialist with UHaul, we would not have had a moving truck at all. Lesson: Call UHaul if you need help. Corporate was fantastic to offer a solution.
James S.I dropped off the truck locally and was told that they things told to me by the other rental location was wrong. He was apologetic but nothing he could do about it.

Tim B.It was middle of the day on Saturday and the return location wasn't open. We called the number on the sign for after hour drop off and he didn't answer. We spent several minutes trying to find a drop off location near by and the owner stopped by to “grab a coke†and said we got lucky to catch him there. No sir, you got lucky to have any customers.

Steven A.Contract said drop off was at 8AM. When I arrived the gate was locked and no one answered the phone. I had to leave the truck in the parking lot of a business next door. This was not an after hours drop off but it was treated as such.

GREGORY K.When I arrived at my pick up time of 10 am, I was not able to pick up my truck because the previous person who rented it had not retuned it. I had to sit and wait for an hour and a half, while waiting on hold with customer service for an hour, to finally get the truck.

I reserved 4 days in advance I called the morning of and she said "we ain't had no 26' truck in over a week" I said how can that be? She said "U-Haul does this all the time" I told her I had NEVER had that happen and that they must have something wrong in her system...she said I don't know what to tell you, call U-Haul. You need to do some checking on Holt's Mini Mart because they are the worst experience ever.

RICK L.Employee was incredibly slow, having to stop and sit for a "rest" multiple times. I felt bad as he was older and obviously sick. But it created a very slow experience. Half the furniture blankets were just in a pile. Complained about U-Haul corporate. Quote from employee: "Those people at U-Haul are [vulgar term]." We typically move every few years and chose to pay more than a competitor quoted me because I wanted to rent from U-Haul based on previous experiences. But after this experience, I will definitely think twice before renting from U-Haul again. Also - I'm pretty sure I was overcharged by the location and will be reaching out regarding this.
Ryan S.Store opened 1 hour later than our pickup time. I hade to pay hourly pay while 3 people waited for store to open. When I call 10:10 to see if store opened, he said “What do you want? It's not my fault your schedule wasn't showing in my computer. Call U haulâ€. He took another 30 minutes while he gets truck ready. If he had to say I'm sorry I didn't see it or I forgot, then I understand. We all make mistakes. Instead he was not nice about it. I want 1 hour and half of fees to my guys I had to pay. My charge on mileage is wrong. He told the lads who picked up the truck for me that mileage was from last people but he didn't fix it. Only takes 3.5 miles from his store to my house but charges were 108.4 miles. I can't get hold of him to fix mistakes. I will never use or recommend him again.

I obviously didn't see it because I was driving. When I finally got to the new place they didn't open until 10. It was a mess.

Will never use Uhaul again.At reserved location Chatsworth Ga Tire Center on 411 which was confirmed hrs previous to our arrival once we did arrive he was extremely rude and kept walking off only stating he was closed and to go look at the next closest location several miles away. First call to Uhaul. Stated the other location didnt have size truck we reserved and order was sent to next location. Arrived there, Citgo station owned by foreigners. Trucks are sitting there but due to cashiers lack of knowledge pertaining to rental were ask to come back in 3hrs. 2nd call made to Uhaul. Nothing could be done at that location. Only option left was to travel 10 miles away to 3rd location Glenwood Ave in Dalton, Ga. He informs me reservation was then showing for the 15th even though I had spoken that morning and confirmed. Move now delayed by hr and half. I had someone caring for my mom that has dementia and is bedridden. My time is valuable!!!!! Move was finally made to Hiawassee, Ga where I told person that rented the truck to me we were dropping it off. I receive a text stating I was to drop off in Pennsylvania therefore was charged an extra $35 for not doing so. I will NEVER EVER rent from you again. The lack of comprehension was absolutely ridiculous. What should have been a simple transaction ended up costing me time and money I dont have.
