I called immediately upon arriving when I was unable to locate the lock box as instructed to get the key. I had to make my way through broken vehicles, appliances and trash to get to a dangerously rotted back step that has a sign to go to the other door. I had only a narrow path with mud and discarded household while balancing on a 2x4 of wood to get to the other door. After knocking several times, an older gentleman in his boxer shorts answered and told me he didn't know anything about the keys and his son/daughter are not home. I called uhaul. At this point I was almost an hour into trying to get this truck while it was raining. Customer service was helpful. I finally figured out where the key was and sent her 14 pictures of damage that had not been marked on the truck AND that the fuel tank was on empty and not 1/4 like the contract stated. I had to put extra miles on the truck as the closest gas station was the opposite direction and have someone follow me in case the truck ran out. I have requested all photos and a request for a full refund be given due to the photos of the location, the dangerous conditions, and the false information regarding fuel. I have been charged the full fee and have not heard from uhaul regarding my concerns.

The drop off location was very very questionable. The area i had to drop off my rental was very dark amd had I not had a 4x4 pickup I wouldn't have been able complete my dropoff. The area I dropped off at was a place that had been cleared of trees and there was stumps everywhere and no lights were seen in the area as I dropped off after dark. The location was a little hard to find but the directions provided were accurate.
