Have the vehicle ready at pick up time, including giving the customer access to the keys without having to bounce by multiple service agents. Don't lie about the fuel levels.

I had ordered covers and a dolly to go with the truck. This location didn’t have either but didn’t tell me so they just took it off my order. How am I supposed to move stuff without the dolly. So I had to go get a dolly and buy covers . What’s to point of having it as an option if you’re just going to take it off when customer comes to pick up. Super inconvenient. The truck was clean and key easy to get. But beware no WiFi in area so may take you forever to load up the pictures that they require.
Amber PIt was the worst experience renting a U-Haul. The truck had no gas. The passenger mirror was extremely lose making it a hazard when driving. The U-Haul was extremely dirty so I had to sweep it before loading my stuff. The app would not allow me to complete the drop off. Therefore charging me for 3 days instead of 5 hours. I have called multiple times about getting a refund for the days I was charged and didn’t have the vehicle, but I keep speaking with customer service who keeps telling me that they have created a case number and a manager would be contacting me. Haven’t heard from anyone. Will be calling tomorrow again.
Silvia CThe setup is 5 lock boxes from which to get a key. The people there claimed that you needed to do the rental on the app and that it would tell you which lock box and its code. We did the rental on the app, which is just too badly written to believe -- was unable to get the second driver on the contract - started but then it switched to a different path, and no way to go back and fix it. Finally called and the online person said that the people at the location would know which lockbox and how to open it. I had to argue with them for several minutes until they were willing to help. They had to open four of the lock boxes to find the key. A wretched experience. And the location looked completely rundown - nearly abandoned. Unworthy of a reputable nationwide brand. They also didn't have the pads and dolly that I'd ordered.
John Bovercharged just because it’s not your regular location. I requested dolly while booking which was not there in cart when I picked up. upon reaching the storage I asked about dolly and they said that we won’t charge for dolly disregarding any inconvenience that caused.

Qianli ZThe place did not look very well maintained. The truck was parked in a way that was impossible to drive out of if it wasn't because there was someone who was willing to move their car out of the way.
Armando RRented the 15ft truck. It was sort of blocked from the shop cars. I had to back in and out several times just to get the truck out. Also, the u-haul app doesn't help since its always freezing, or just doesn't work. If it does work, then the area is the problem. I had two different phone/data carriers and both phones hardly work. Could be the location; therefore this location should be looked at and have a different place for uhaul pick up/ drop off
jared cThere was no employee at the location. Despite checking in online on my computer, I did not receive the code to unlock the box. I did not receive any instructions telling me to once again check-in on the app. The app did not provide me with the information to check-in, and so I lost 50 minutes of my booking time just waiting for the customer service representative online.
Sushant Gtruck requested was not available, had to get smaller truck (only one available). because the original truck had not been returned on time, it took 40 mins longer to sort things out so I. could complete rental. I had done everything on-line, it should have been ready to go. not at all like my last experience, which was excellent people not helpful at location, asked about appliance dolly, I had to go into the service garage to get it myself.
ERICK OA lot of hidden fees. Things that I didn't order were added to my account. A very bad experience.
Rafael MThe truck windshield was very dirty and dusty. The inside of the cab was dusty and various pet hair on the seats. It was clean enough for the job at hand but the rental process was too slow and internet connection was not great. I was overcharged for two rental sessions even though I took a picture at 2:05 pm and submitted the gas tank and odometer pictures then was told to wait for a call that I didn’t receive until later that evening. It was after hours so I called in the morning to explain. However still overcharged.

JEROME GThis location was great. BUT U-Haul screwed me big time by not having the truck I originally RESERVED with a weeks notice. Then, they wait until the day before I am meant to pick up the truck to tell me it’s not available. This completely ruined my plans and life for the whole day. I had to pay extra fees to my realtor and cleaners in order to adjust my schedule and accommodate the availability of the truck I needed. It should’ve been U-Haul trying to accommodate me not the other way around. Horrible experience and customer service. I will advise everyone I know about my experience with U-Haul and recommend they do not rely on their services because they don’t honor their reservations.
Antonio MI had no information about how to go about retrieving the vehicle ahead of time, needing to upload the app because the website wasn’t loading and then having to retake photos of my drivers license multiple times because it wouldn’t accept it was incredibly frustrating. I would have preferred speaking with someone in person. The location was scary and unhelpful.

George CAlthough the place is fine, the online self-pick experience was terrible. It took me more than one hour to finally get verified and get the vehicle. The identity verification process for self-pick was insanely hard and in-human.

karthik gSuper terrible U-HAUL system. I can not log in to the account, and even worse, the system blocks my phone number to receive the verification code. What's worse, when I contact customer service, the lady's attitude was super bad and useless, and she even changed my pick-up location to a farther one on purpose. The whole pick-up process took me one and a half hours! I won't use U_HAUL anymore!

Xubo WThe facility is at a noisy location (trains) and I didn't know what the check in process was. Also, the staff are not knowledgeable about how to use the online process. All they mentioned is 'customers already know the combination to open the lock box.' My biggest issue is I was not informed about the check-in process before arrived. My pick up was for 3:00pm and I didn't get an email how to check in until 3:15pm. So, I ended up being on the phone for 35 minutes (at 2:51pm) with customer service to help me step by step (who did a nice job). The second issue is I didn't get a message how to check out. I tried using the chat option and the representative only said to go to uhaul.com . When I asked for a step by step process, she didn't know and I asked for an alternate rep and she said the discussion was ending, I was able to figure it out. The experience was awful and made worse from that location.
JAIME VThe process was pretty unorganized. I didn’t receive a code to retrieve the key to my rental. They also automatically charged me an insurance fee which I specifically denied when I made the reservation. Would not recommend going through a third party.
Angela DThe attendants at the location were very nice and guide me through the online pick up/drop off process. Aside from their service however, the equipment rental itself wasn’t to satisfaction. The truck itself was mostly useable, however the low tire indicator was stuck on (according to the attendants at least, I was told the light was “stuck” and couldn’t be cleared and was left to be “assured that it would be safe”. That isn’t the most reassuring thing to hear knowing you will be driving with a truck full of household items. While I was provided with mats, there was not a dolly included (and one was also not available at the venue”. As I didn’t have time to reschedule, I had to do the move without one and it would have saved me half as much work for all of the heavy loads required. This was highly disappointing considering this reservation and order was made weeks ago. Overall this made for an unpleasant moving experience
Russell AVery bad experience. I need a keybox password but uhaul doesn't send me the code at all. After 40 minutes wait and call with customer support, they found the car which ought to be assigned to me was already driven away by someone else! I have to take another truck. Then uhaul tries to charge me $28 after I only drove for 14 miles!
Ji YLock box for the key was very difficult to open. Needed help from the mechanic working at the shop.
