it's really hard to reach someone on u-haul's phone number to answer questions or get confirmation that the trailer will be in the designated location. no one answers the phone. the same recorded message always plays over and over. it's really annoying.Mario F.

When I picked up the trailer, several lights did not work but the customer service person told me it was ok to leave with the trailer anyways. He had no idea how to hook up the chains to my pick up truck and had no idea how to hook up the chain connected to the trailer breaking system.PIERRE L.
I don't recommend Uhaul. Because I did the reservation in march, and when I arrived in 31 july to pickup the camion, there is no camion.... And I had to go to another city to pickup the camion.Franklin M.

U-haul called me the day before my moving to tell me that they dont have a truck for me, even if I had made my reservation several weeks ago. I managed to make a deal for a bigger truck, but when I showed up the next morning they told me that they made a mistake again and that they still have no truck for me. I had to drive 3h to get a truck from another town with all the extra expense for gas on me. All this while my family was waiting for me at home to help me move. Once I finally got the truck, I received another call from U-Haul this time telling me that I must return the truck to another location that the one I had pick in my reservation. This location was 1h30 back and forth of the location I had chosen. That's another waste of time and money for gas at my expense. When I told the guy that I would not drop the truck to that location, he told me that its the location he will write in the contract and that it would be my problem. I hung up and called the customer support. I managed to get them to accept my initial drop off point but it was'nt easy. I never had the money back for them failing to honor my reservation. On top of that, when I took the truck, the brake light was constantly on and the oil gage showed 0 psi for all the trip. Not only was it my worst moving experience, it was my worst commercial experience ever.jocelyn N.

All the parking place we're taken by either the Hotel or the restaurant customer. I had to park it somewhere close that I wasn't sure if it was okay.Maxime Q.

Below is an email I sent on May 5th (More than two weeks ago) I'm writing today to inform you of my extreme dissatisfaction with my experience with Uhaul. On April 7th, I made a reservation for a 10 foot van from Downtown Montreal, at 9AM on April 30 and returning in Toronto a few days later This was to move my son out of his apartment, as his lease ended on April 30. On April 29, I completed my online check in and paid for my rental, and expected a call from UHaul as was promised. When I didn't receive a call, I made several attempts to call, however nobody answered. On the morning of my rental, at 730, I received a call from UHaul, when I was informed that my truck was not available. Instead I was told my only option was a truck in Victoriaville Qc. This was 156 km away. A two hour drive. When I said that this was unacceptable, I was told that my options were to accept this truck or my reservation would be cancelled. I told the agent that I had no way to get to Victoriaville, and her reply was that I should ask a friend to drive me. As I was in a city that is not my home, I did not have anyone to drive me, not to mention that ride sharing shouldn't happen during a pandemic. Her response to this was a very curt response, asking me if I would be keeping this reservation or cancelling. With no other option, since my son had to be out of his apartment that day, I scrambled to find a way to get to Victoriaville. This involved renting a car, one way, at great expense, and driving for 2 hours to the truck's location. Once there I was surprised to find that the truck waiting for me was not a 10 foot as I had reserved, but a much larger 15 foot. This was much larger than I needed, harder to drive, harder to park, and consumed more gas than I had planned for. My drive back to Montreal took me 2.5 hours. Including all the driving and extra time it took me, the move started more than 5 hours late. My son and I managed to get his apartment loaded into the truck, and began our trip to Toronto. Because of the extremely late start to the move, and the ordeal of the day, I had to stop in Kingston and get a hotel overnight. This was not my plan but after over 8 hours of driving, 5,5 of which were with a truck bigger than I requested, I was exhausted. The next day we completed our journey to Toronto, where we were able to move his stuff into his new place, and I returned the truck. I am extremely dismayed at the way I was treated by UHaul. I was very proactive in reserving what I needed, well in advance and yet received absolutely no communication from you until I had no option but to do accept the ridiculous solution I was offered. You were not proactive, nor were you customer centric. At no point in the dialogue with your service representative did I feel that I was valued as a customer. UHaul turned a very well organized move into a truly traumatic event. I have used UHaul many times in the past, and would likely have need to again in the future, however I would be extremely hesitant to do so in the future. What I am requesting UHaul to help restore my faith in your company, and to cover the additional expenses I incurred as a result of this mess is as follows. Reimbursement of my rental car expense from Montreal to Victoriaville $198.95 Gas for the rental car $21.00 Gas for the extra 160km from Victoriaville to Montreal $80.00 Reimbursement for the hotel stay in Kingston I was forced to book $120.46 Total of my extra expenses $420.41 I wrote this email more than two weeks ago, and despite SEVERAL attempts to speak with someone, I have not received a response. The whole online booking process was terrible. Location pick up was not respected forcing us to drive two hours to pick up a rental van at a different location. Received a call the day before pickup notifying us of this change even though reservation was booked 3 weeks prior. Extremely frustrating and disappointing.Steven R.

J'ai dÃ» aller le repoter. Je n'ai donc pas pu avoir de camion le jour de mon dÃ©mÃ©nagement, qui Ã©tait prÃ©vu depuis plusieurs semaines.
