The location was 20 miles further than the location I requested on the app. I had to pay for the extra miles and getting to this location was over back roads instead of highway to Carlisle. I placed the order in plenty of time for U-Haul to have a 15' truck at the Carlisle location rather than having me go out of my way to get the truck I requested. Basically, I paid U-Haul to move the truck for them. i will be looking at other companies for future moving needs.

Mitch BThis location knows what customer service is. They were over accommodating! U haul was insisting that I drop off tow dolly 30 miles away when this location is only 2 miles from my destination. This young man made it easy for me and understood it when I said I wasn't going to be uhaul's logistics coordinator to move their equipment for them at my expense. Uhaul needs to come up to speed in the customer service department. I had a reservation cancelled in GA and they suggested I drive 90 miles away to get a tow dolly - that's not gonna happen. Overall, uhaul's personnel are great but they do have A LOT of people with their heads in their butts.
Mitch BI set everything up with my smartphone, and it all went exceptionally well. The guy at the counter had very little to do and was very accommodating. The truck was very clean and sound. It was a dream to drive. +++++

Wayne MThey charged us for an extra day, when the truck was back before 4pm the same day we picked it up. Location was closed, so we dropped the key in the box out front. Got the receipt, and see an extra $40 charge. Ugh! No reason for it…

Julia JUhaul location was a typical Pennsylvania store. Had to walk around cow manure to get to the portopotty to go use the restroom. Store was about an hour away from my home. Then the unit I did get the A/C did not work through any of the vents, only on the defrost. I have a Uhaul store not five miles from my house in Chambersburg, PA, and the lot was FULL, FULL of vehicles but they only have three available for one way moves as the very rude gentleman on the phone advised. I hope this is the last time I have to use Uhaul, but if I have to move again, I will use someone else. Very Very Bad customer experience that I am not used to with Uhaul.

CHRISTOPHER KThe issue was not with either of the locations, but rather the fact I reserved a moving truck and, on the day I was scheduled to move, the truck was no longer available. Then after driving an hour out of my way to get a truck, the computer program would not allow the associate to choose Honey Brook as my drop off location. i called the next day and was on hold/call back, waiting for 40 minutes before being told to go to Coatesville to drop off the truck, even though there are two Coatesville locations. i figured it out which location by creating a UHAUL account, a waste of time atop a waste of time. I was told by the associate at Simpson Ferry Rd in Mechancisburg PA I would get a $50 discount for this move -- because my truck wasn't available -- and did not receive it. Everyone involved was professional and respectful but I want the discount I was offered for my inconvenience.

Bart RThis location was in a very small village and the UHaul portion was just a small part of a Feed and Grain company, obviously Uhaul is not their primary focus or source of income. I only ended up renting from this location because the location where I was supposed to have picked up a trailer couldn't seem to figure out how to change a tire on a trailer, and it forced me to travel an extra 2 hours in rain and fog. Uhaul only notified me on the morning of my rental, really messing up our plans for the day of packing and preparing for our 1,100 mile trip.
Michael MWould Appreciate if U-Haul Clearly present/show the weight and clearance threshold of the equipment rented - Could not find it on the paperwork given so I had to take a longer route to avoid a potential problem.(covered bridge vs 15' box truck).
KEN PHR Wentzels is an excellent place! However, UHaul accepted my reservation for a 26 ft truck but failed to notify me that only a 15 ft truck was available and I had to make multiple trips. If I had known this, I would have reserved from a place that had a 26 ft truck available. Not a fault of HR Wentzels but I fault of UHaul.
Tammy FThey hooked up the trailer to my vehicle but let the wire hang down so it shorted out after leaving due to the wire being stripped Not their fault but even before this we rented a 5’x8’ trailer 12 min away but the day before Uhaul called and cancelled it saying it is now not available so they gave us a 6’x12’ trailer which I didn’t need.
Brandon MWe had to jump the uhaual twice and had to leave it running, making us spend more on gas becuase of it. The battery dying in the truck made the day even more stressful.

Keyla DI had a lot of trouble with the online Check in and drop. It took multiple times before i was able to get through both. I requested and am waiting for an invoice for all of the charges to make sure i am not charged for the pads and dolly that i didnt get. I am glad that i only had a few pieces of furniture to move and not a whole house. This was stressful enough.

Bill SDropped off when closed. Area extremly dark after dusk. Poor cell reception made returning truck app useless on my cell lucky my wife's cell was able to get through.
Joseph OThe pick up process was difficult with the Truck Share 247 feature. The app timed out and had connection issues multiple times, despite having 5 bars of LTE in a rural, low traffic area. Once my pick-up went on to the validation process, there was over 10 minutes of dead time while waiting where no agents responded and no status was given. Finally, a Uhaul representative responded and validated me and the rest of the pick up proceeded without issue. It's not a huge deal but I do think there is room for improvement in that technology and process.

Dennis RStaff was friendly and professional, but due to your computer registration system repeatedly failing I waited nearly an hour to pick up my rental. Your website to change a reservation does not function. I waited for CS for 15 minutes to answer my call. You really need to review your internal systems, customer facing website, and call center.

Kitty FWhen I started my rental it was reported the truck had a half a tank of gas and that I needed to put a half tank back in when returned. There was not NEAR a half a tank of gas in it, so I had to get gas as soon as I picked it up AND then had to put a half a tank back into the truck before I delivered it back to the store by so that I wouldn't get charged for gas that wasn't in the truck in the first place. That's ridiculous. Was supposed to have been charged off on our account no later than Monday morning. I waited until Monday afternoon to call and ensure they were not going to charge us more than the "hold" on the account to unt because we didn't even meet the "estimated" 49.5/50 miles, we drove 41 miles, but sure enough when I called the guys charged off on 49.50 miles, he didn't even bother to look that we only drove 41 miles, he didn't wait to discuss this at all, he just went ahead and ran it through, and then said they were swamped all day and he hadn't had time to take care of it. That may not seem like a big deal to this location, or to U-Haul, but if every customer is charged for 5-10 miles more than they used, somebody is cleaning up, and this is the very fraud that PA Auditor and Attorney General's office reports they want to hear about because it is very simply fraud, and it's very easily traceable and verifiable. Those will be my next calls after the holidays, I am so sick of companies just going ahead and feeling entitled to rip off every customer that walks through the door.

WAYNE MThe location was excellent. Staff was excellent. UHaul customer service, scheduling, and anything related to the 800 number was absolutely horrible. A monkey could do a better job of knowing his ass from a hole in the ground than the people who answer the telephone calls and make reservations and schedule. This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in my life with UHaul and you can rest assured people will know about it. How about next time you expand your survey so it isn't just about the location (which was excellent) but ask questions about the shitty customer service at your main UHaul phone number?

WAYNE MThis is the second time in the last 3 months that I had to move my stuff into storage and then from the storage unit into her house and I've spent $181 the first time and over $130 a second time I am a single mom with two kids this is completely outrageous I don't think I will ever use Uhaul again

paula lonly issue not noted on my paperwork was the check engine light was on - I went back in and the gentleman reassured the light was on when they picked up the truck at a Mechanicsburg location and it was running fine
