Nobody was at the location for pick up so had to call U-Haul customer service and it took over a hour to get code to get key out of key box. Very frustrating!

I have to reach out to U-Haul to provide a discount due to the maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle. This vehicle is a severe safety hazard and should NOT be rented until fully/deeply inspected.

Communicate better on about how to do the mobile check in. I called the day before and asked how to start the mobile check in and I was told they would send me a link but it wouldn't work until I pick up the truck. That was not the case. I had to download the uhaul app, log in and then I could go through the steps. This is after talking to the third person, all the while sitting in the parking lot next to the truck. Now the third person I talked to was very helpful. Just communicate better so it's not frustrating for the customer.

#1) The original facility (rental drop off location) on our contract turned out to be non-existent, and it was up to ME to find this out as I didn't trust the process, and only found out by calling - and it turned out that this was a disconnected phone number! #2) I was told that the new location provided to me would have a rep there on Sat between the hours of 10-5, and along with this location being difficult to find (it's actually behind some glass store!), there was no one around to check the vehicle in with, and I was doing this because #3) I didn't trust the return process, and this turned out to be accurate as I more than filled the vehicle with gas (more than with what we were originally provided!), and yet was still charged an additional $9 for more gas! This is so wrong, and the young lady I spoke with at U-Haul on Saturday when I called in with this exact concern assured me that they would do this honestly! This is my first time using U-Haul (I've used Penske in the past), and I'm not feeling good about it, I'm sorry to say.

I do not recommend using mobile app especially if you're not familiar with it. Go inside the store and pick up your key the old fashioned way after hrs.

The service was pretty decent and the person I delay with in LaPlata, MD was friendly and helpful,, but don’t waste your time to download the app because it’ll tell you, you don’t have a reservation. Also the QR codes on the trucks are not friendly usable especially when you want to do a return of the office if closed.

I was charged for equipment but it wasn’t present in the truck at pick up. Very poor customer service from Amy of Hyattsville location. She was some what belligerent and had very little patience.

Not a good experience at the pick up location. We ordered a hand truck and blankets. When the business called to confirm our reservation two hours before pick up (not the day before as stated in the contract), I ASKED the rep to confirm that these items were in the truck. He said he didn't think so, but he agreed go check and call me back. He did, but he said they weren't there. Where was I supposed to get a hand truck at 5:00 PM? And I had to use my good blankets to wrap the furniture in. So with less than two hours before pickup, I was stuck without the things I ordered and received a confirmation for but didn't get. The guy didn't offer to call another location to get them for me. I'm 71 years old and I had to help my grandson carry all of my heavy furniture into my new place, wrapped in my good blankets that I use on my bed. In addition, the website for this location said they close at 6:00, so I set my pick up time for 5:30. In that same confirmation call, I was informed that I had to be there by 5:00. When I asked why, I was told the website is wrong. That was curious because the sign by the front door also said 6:00. It was Friday. I think someone just wanted to leave early. I do NOT recommend this location. Conversely, the drop was a breeze. We returned the truck a day early, after hours. The instructions were clear and easy and I got a receipt at 9:20 the next morning.

First off the reservation price and the price charged to my card were different. The truck didn't have gas in it and that's how I returned it but they charged me dir returning it with the same amount. I use uhaul all the time just not this location and after this I don't think I will be using uhaul ever again. The math doesn't add up.

I had no help with the auto transport. Was told “ I don’t know how to do it”. He didn’t even attempt to get off his seat. Took off to another state and the safety for the wheel kept coming off. Arrived and the front chain was not attached. This could have been a really bad situation if my car came off. I had to make many stops to ensure the car was still on.

The person there needs a course on customer service, I waited 10 minutes while he argued on speaker phone with family member and returning the truck was a complete nightmare don't expect someone to answer your call or even expect a call back,I've been renting from uhaul since 1977 and will never go to this location again, also make sure you take pictures of gas and mileage.

Had to use the online system to pick up and return the truck. This was my first experience with your process. There was some confusion in the beginning but after contacting your telephone support team all was resolved. Your telephone support team was excellent and courteous- don’t believe it could have been better. If needed I certainly would use your services in the future. Thanks!

I paid for moving clothes and they were not provided. The location was changed a third time and I was never notified so when I showed up to pick up the app said I was to go to a different location which had no service to check in so I had to drive around to find a place with service.

The only complaint I have is why should I have to return the truck back with a full tank of gas, but the truck DID NOT have a full tank of gas when I pick up the truck. I returned the truck with the same amount of gas as when I picked the truck up but I was charged $9.00 because it was 2 gallons short of being full of gas.

The representative who called me today, Albert, was perhaps the most helpful person in all of my troubled experiences with UHAUL. This most recent experience was frustrating from beginning to end and everywhere in between with few exceptions, Mr Albert being one. Because of my experience, it is very UNlikely that I will ever use UHAUL for a move again. I will probably elect Lowe’s, Home Depot or one of the car rental companies.

I was a little frustrated that the reservation was changed twice, including one time at 6:55 the day I wanted to pick it up. I was scheduled to pick it up at 9 am on the original order and the vehicle I was assigned, couldn’t be picked up until 10 am. I wanted to start earlier for the things I needed to move. Finally, the young lady that issued the vehicle to me didn’t know how to. I don’t fault her; I believe she was a new employee. I gave this score as I don’t have a way to share the reservation and rescheduling process I experienced.

The truck was very clean & spacious up front! It was a great surprise seeing the 2 dollys in the back!!! Came in handy. Overall process of online pickup & drop off was amazing! I’ve used uhaul previously & this by far was the best most seamless transaction!

I didn't receive the blankets or dolly that I paid for. The day of the pick-up the location changed 4 times. It went for 10 minutes from my home to 1 hour from my home to pick up the truck. What an inconvenience due to the fact that I had helpers waiting for me to show up and I was an hour late!!!!!

This was not my first choice. Uhaul switched the pickup location 4 times: as we were at or going to the new locations. We had to spend over $100for an Ubers. We were not the only people promised a truck and then not getting one. They even threatened to cancel our reservation. The price was right but the experience took a few years off my life. Moving is never easy, but it was made horrific by the overall mismanagement.

I had to clean inside of truck. The outside was filthy as well. The gas amount was off and app would not let me change or add photos of the filth. I had to walk down the dirt road to obtain the truck after leaving the office. No ride from the manager on the cart used as transportation around storage facility. It was hot and I am older in age. For the amount I paid the service should have been much better. I am a regular customer and this by far has been my WORST experience. The truck was not running well at all for a one way rental crossing several states. I’m very disappointed in Uhaul’s service from this location.

It’s a shame to be charged over drafts fees because someone charged my credit card twice and now I’m on hold over a hour to get back my money nobody is answering the phone poor service and such a inconvenience I’ll never go back to this one again
