Taillight in disrepair, chain had ONE hook, no locking D-ring for connecting the chain to the tow dolly V ring.

the gentleman didn't even check the truck when returned we had to feel out the paper work like where the gas was on the meter, where we had it parked he didn't want it there we had to repark the truck, all he wanted was the paperwork from where we rented the truck if we wanted the paper work back told to come back in a couple of hours and he would give it back to us. I don't work for u-haul we payed enough for the truck should not be our job to do his job. we have rented enough from u-haul not the way things are done.

Not the most convenient location for me but attendant was very helpful and nice and I have no complaints other than the extra 15 miles I had to drive when local location failed to have correct trailer as was preferred and specified.

I went in an told the man I had a drop off n he asked what I had an I said a car hauler, he said great he needed trailers, I say where You want it n he said You can drop it right there, I said I need help, he said well it’s gonna be like 20mins I have vendors here, so I go out unhook n I can’t get it off my truck n I go back in the store n I tell him n he says okay I will go help you, 2 mins of his time to help me....

Truck was not road worthy. Transmission leaked causing brakes to be weak. Had to add honey-oil to keep it running to meet destination. If certified auto repair person was not operating, this truck could have killed someone. He kept it running to destination

Let's see, I waited about an hour for the rep to finally show up. Then another 40 minutes for my paperwork to process due to lack of computer training. Then, when I went to get the trailer the handle was sitting in a bed of fire ants and I got the crap bit out of me on my feet, ankles and hands. I ordered a motorcycle trailer and got a 5x9 instead. Oh, the rental was supposed to be 14.95 a day and the computer put in 24.95 a day. Good thing I was paying attention. Other than that, at least my trip was great and the equipment worked fine.

This location was a gas station with only one attendant on duty, we had to wait to get the trailer and it was not cleaned out, the turn signal wires kept coming loose.

When I went to pick up the truck I had reserved at 4 pm, the employee behind the counter had no paperwork for us. He said someone is usually there to do it, or has the paperwork ready for him. After about 20 minutes of him trying to call U-Haul to figure out what he should do, we left so I could call the 800 number for U-Haul. I was apologized to, and given the number of the area manager. I called him, and he told me he was trying to figure out a way to get us a truck, whether it be to go to a different location, or if he could get someone to walk the employee through the steps. I did receive a callback from someone else, and they told me to go to the store, because the employee was told it was okay to give us the truck without the official paperwork. Once we got there, the employee didn't feel comfortable just giving us the truck like they said, so we had to wait even longer while I called the manager, and he called the store. During this hour and a half to two hour period, I had 3 people that I was paying $10/hour waiting to help us move, because we wanted to get it done quick, and before dark. This cut very much into our daylight hours, and we had to finish by ourselves in the morning. The manager I spoke with also promised coupons for the inconvenience, not that I plan on moving any time soon. Over a month later, I have yet to receive anything. I also didn't receive the $50 I feel I should have gotten, since U-Haul says the reservation is guaranteed, or 'we'll give you $50.'

Since this was boooked well in advance - it would be nice to be able to walk in, sign the paper work and get going without having to wait (This applies to the main store on St Rt 7)

the Return place was a convenience store in a town of 520 - do you really expect the counter clerk to know all the ins and outs ? It was very convenient - less than a mile away - and because of that one thing I would want to drop off there again
