The ratchets on the unit were very rusty and hard to operate if someone with not a lot of knowledge of how they work would have had a lot of problems otherwise the trip went well and the unit would work great

When I arrived to pick up my truck, it had a flat tire. The staff called management to help remedy our issue. Getting another truck would have taken time, but a trailer was on the lot. Due to having a pickup, we were able to swap the truck for trailer. The staff was very generous in the pricing.

Easy process. The equipment was ready and the staff was professional. If anything, I'd recommend that the trailers have a built-in jack. Anyone who is elderly or disabled may have problems getting hooked up or unhooked upon return.

Maybe consider a more secure after hours return for dollys. The attendant is fair and honest helping customers reduce charges where practical. We rent a storage unit there too and she helped by eliminating late fees when our check for payment was lost in the mail (honestly!). I recommend this place to others because of that service.

Online pick up did not work. We showed up at 5am, the app would not recognize I was standing in the parking lot. I called the 24 hour line for help, no help and they hung up. Showed back up at 9 to get the truck when they opened. The lady was able to get us the truck, but she never reviewed the paperwork and the hand dolly wasn't even in the truck, she had to get it from the back. It was gross and rusted, and had to dispute the condition of the truck. We ordered a 20' they didn't have it got 26' instead. We tried to get a smaller truck but it was over 50 miles away. Please offer better ways to help your customers. We picked this location because they had good Google reviews, but I really don't think they care, just there to collect money.

We were potentially going to be late to pick up the truck. The girl was leaving at noon. She did work with Mike from Uhaul to have it available to us (we did make it there at 11:45 am). The truck was noted to have damage to the bumper and skirting which I took pictures of. I don't care about this but don't want to be responsible for it either. After getting into the truck, I found that the AC did not work. This would be tough going 200 miles on a 90 degree day....and it was tough. The truck definitely was not swept before I picked it up. I swept out about a quart of debris including a dozen or so small Christmas bulbs. The last problem was that the ramp was bent. After pulling it out, we could not raise it to hook into the holes in the truck which left a 4 inch step from the ramp to the truck floor. It was also very difficult to get the ramp back in to the point that I didn't think we could drive it. After some effort, we did get the ramp back in, but felt unable to use it at all at the unload point. I spoke with Mike on 6-27 and asked for a break in the price and he agreed to do so. We had also rented a truck on 6-20 through 6-24 which was flawless. Overall, our Uhaul experience was better than expected except for the above mentioned conditions of the truck.

I was to get a 10 inch truck. The code was never given to me to get the keys. They then required me to have a passport, Lease agreement, contact my employer, or contact someone over the phone to verify my identity. It was a saturday and none of that was possible. I had to pay the movers double and waste time getting to another location that was about to close and they only had 20 inch trucks. It was more expensive, more time, and more truck space than was necessary. It completely ruined the moving day and was stressful. I want my bill taken care of. This was unacceptable.

It would be helpful when detaching the pull behind trailer, if it was made with the ability to crank down a support to stabilize it when parked unattached to the vehicle.

The passenger mirror would not adjust. The weather stripping around the driver door fell out. We had to put it back in place at our gas stop.

The reservation was not done correctly so my pick up time was delayed for over an hour while I called U-Haul to get the matter straightened out. When checking over the truck I was given an empty tank of gas- when I brought this to the workers attention she informed me I am to pay for gas- I understand I am to return truck with the same amount of gas however having a truck on empty before I leave the parking lot was very unprofessional. I am aware that I am to return the truck with the same amount of gas as well as paying for the mileage this truck usage cost me over $200.00 in rental and mileage and I didn’t even have it for 6 full hours! I would not recommend this business for anything as the worker is very unprofessional and does not seem to know her job. I also used the storage units at this location- when I removed my belongings they were covered in mold—-this same employee informed me that because I packed my belongings in cardboard boxes that only draws in moisture. I have never had such a lame excuse as what she provided. She couldn’t even recommend what type of container to pack belongings in when using this facility as “several people have brought this to my attention but we can’t control the units”. I have nothing good to say about this business or location other than the owner needs to maybe find someone who cares about their job and is more willing to provide a decent level of customer service than what this girl has provided! A customer should not be required to fill the tank before leaving the parking lot upon pick up.

Any trailer without a jack is ridiculous. I had to lift a duel axle trailer up multiple times. Could easily have messed up my back. Had to change hitches because it sat so low. Unfortunately was partially loaded. Had to unload to be able to lift it off. Completely absurd

When I pulled into Purple Heart shoppe at 6 PM on Friday July 3 this location did not look to be in operation in the past years and had a single U-Haul trailer and very small U-Haul sign. Despite the eerie location I tried using the online drop off function. When it said location not recognized, I checked reviews online for this location...not good. I called customer service. After a few minute wait, the agent agreed about not dropping trailer there and helped me find a new alternative drop off location. However he said I had to call a different # to change the drop off location on the reservation. Please note the # provided was for a location in California and I was in Pennsylvania at 6:35 PM on July 3rd. After 15 minutes of calling this other #, I called customer service back. After additional 10 minute wait, I talked with a customer service agent, who changed my drop off reservation and connected me with a local representative. Customer service should fix the drop off location on the first call and not give some additional telephone number to call.

Upon renting the vehicle there was little gas in the tank for which I had to put $35.00 in order not to run out, Less then a quarter tank, the attendant told me when returning the truck just replace what was in it when I took possession,which I did. When I received my bill I find that I was charged $30.00 for fuel fill up service and $34.00 EZ fuel sale 8gal. When renting vehicles in the past I always found the gas tank full and you just replaced what was used. Not to pleased with your practice of not having enough fuel in the truck .

I will NEVER use U-Haul again! Firstt I reserved a truck to be picked up in Grove City Pa - where I moved to. 3 days before the move I was told that I had to pick up and return my rental to Jackson Center, Pa! And of course I had to pay for the extra mileage! Then - after I had returned the truck on Dec 23rd - U-Haul DOUBLE CHARGED me, which caused a $300+ hold on my checking account OVER CHRISTMAS!!! NEVER AGAIN!

Friendly staff at the location but the computer system to reserve equipment and then to actually rent the same equipment takes forever!! The computer system is either antiquated or the staff is not well versed at the computer software because to go thru the actual renting of the equipment took over an hour despite having already reserved the equipment in advance and being the first and only customer.

For mobile check in, the gps would not work because the map located 841 to a location across the street. Had to call UPS customer service to check in.

Everything should be explained. The fact that it’s shown as 19.95 “a day” that IS NOT the case.i paid 22$ for 8 hours and all together300$ because as a first tome renter nothing was explained so I didn’t have a round trip exact of miles and didn’t know a day was 5 hours then 8 hours. It’s not what you think and make sure they explain EVERYTHING to you before you rent a truck from them. Do not recommend for anyone to use. In fact I knew 3 people moving and needing usual for 3-4 days and they will not be choosing usual. Maybe my experience would have been different and my comments would be different if I had know the lady was taking down my exact miles and time as when I’d be charged after and extra fees because my miles weren’t exact. It was not okay in any shape or form.
