I was dissappointed they didnt have my large appliance dolly which I needed. Instead they gave me a small dolly 3 dollars cheaper which I didnt use as it would work on large freezer. Also the windshield cleaner was completely empty so couldnt see through windshield. The gas was a little under full but when I gilled it up it went way past full costing 45 dollars. Im sure it would of only cost 30 dollars for me if it was filled properly. Other than this I had a great experience as guy was very friendly and not his fault wrong dolly is there. Uhaul should of let me know its not offrred at this location.
Myrna GReservation was for noon, showed up at 11:50 and there was nobody on site. Had to speak to the mechanic shop in the back to get someone to come to the office. When he got there at 12:15 he didn’t use my online check-in and had to re-enter my information all over again. He had to try multiple times before giving up and giving me the keys without finishing it or taking payment. I was charged to my credit card during my time with the van. When I returned there was again no one to deal with the return and I ended up handing the keys to someone related to the business but had no other interaction. Felt very sketchy and took photos at the beginning and end of my trip just to be sure. Would never recommend this location to anyone looking for a U-Haul, just appears to be another revenue stream for a lazy business in my honest opinion.

Alan hHello - this is a thank you for Patricia, who got back to me promptly when I raised an issue on this order. THanks for reversing the insurance charge. I did realize that I did not get charged for fuel. (There were offsetting fuel entries on the final account statement that added to zero).

Athina GThe person at this location was incompetent . We had to call your 800 number then we were asked to call (604) 343-2045. This scheduling manager was awesome. She told the person at 402 Esquimalt to release the keys after she completed the check. After she hung up the call we had to wait 20min for the person with the keys to release them. He was trying to call his boss to confirm. Anyway, he finally relented and gave us the keys. He was not able to provide the moving blankets that were available according to your office. We had to go to another uhaul location to get blankets and they made us pay again. Long story short, I think uhaul is a good organization however I would suggest closing the location in Esquimalt down. This place looks sketchy, has a person with no knowledge of you business.
Ray BIt would be nice if the vehicles were refuelled before being leased out again, and the company could clean them too. Inside and outside were both filthy.

Elfie FWe were told by U-Haul to pick the truck up at this location at noon. No one was there until 12:26. We had to park 4 blocks away. When he got there, the staff person said he was trying to find parking too. The appliance dolly was not in the truck. The guy had to call around for one. We had to go somewhere else to pick it up. The truck cab was dirty and full of white dog hair. We wasted 2 hours in the process of pick-up. The guy was very pleasant and helpful but he was between a rock and a hard spot,
Gail POverall it was a decent experience, the location isn't the most accessible by transit though, so without having a ride to come pick you up after dropping off the vehicle, it is quite inconvenient. I also had reserved a dolly and furniture pads, and they didn't have either of them for me. That was a big downside for me. Please have equipment available at this location!
Sarah BEnsure info sent to customer is correct. I requested self check in and this location requires staff member to be present. The original address I was given was 1320 esquimalt road and I could have done sell check in from that location

MICHAEL AThere was no marked easily viewable orange u-haul drop off box for keys for after hours drop off. I followed the directions, and could not locate an orange box. It was after hours. The company had a note on a piece of paper on the door, but it was not clear it included uhaul trucks. It said for after hours drop off rentals, drop key in mail slot on garage door behind the building. We spent half an hour looking for the orange box, then saw the note on the door. I assumed it included uhaul keys, to drop in their garage door mail slot.
Jenny MWe requested one location , but it was changed the day prior our pick-up and we didn't pay close attention to the email we received; so we presented ourselves at the wrong location.
