When I went to pick up my truck I had reserved 24 moving blankets there was none there when I got there however I guess it was the regional manager Dennis Mitchell went above and beyond his Call of Duty to make sure that I had what I needed and I think the man should be recognize for that he was very professional and like I said the men went out of his way to make sure all my needs was met you have a very valuable employeeJohnny N.

On of the worst experiences of my life. Rented a 26 foot truck and car dolly in the afternoon. We had movers load the truck which took over 5 hours. It is now 7pm and dark out. When we attached the car dolly the dolly had no lights. We then plugged the dolly into my friend's truck and found the lights now worked. I had to call a mechanic and he found that the truck trailer plug had no power. After inspecting the truck foe almost an hour he found tha the fuse under the hood was blown. We had to take the fuse from the windshield wiper and use it to power the lights as it was now 9:30 PM and we could not buy a fuse anywhere. We now had to set out on our 3 day trip 6 hours behind schedule with no wipers. Finally found a truck stop on the second day that had these special fuse relays. Finally arrived at my destination 5 hours late with the movers on the other end not happy about having to wait for our arrival. This cost me extra for the mechanic, fuse and the waiting movers. Totally unacceptable. We are investigating recourse against U haul.hauling aJohn M.
Yeah I picked it up drove it down the road come back an hour later didn't use it at all because my plans changed and I still got charged $60 I think it wasn't fair to me that I had to pay it I understand it's a business and all but I told the lady I didn't use it at all I brought it back fairly quick didn't even touch the trailer except hooking it up to my truckAnthony Z.

I give the original rental location a BIG FAT ZERO!! I set up my reservation in advance, confirmed the morning of and then did not have the Auto Transport when I arrived and was told I had to drive 25 miles to pick this one up.. How do you rate the experience with Panama City 15th Street?martin L.
The uhaul trailer leaked. Water damage to my dinning room table. First day when I made reservation online I was told upon my arrival that they could not honor my reservation even though I had confirmation and reservation guarantee. Was advised by location to check back the following day around 11 and they might be able to rent a uhaul trailer to me.Stephanie L.

It took over two hours to procure a simple Auto Transporter, that was needed for a 20 minute recovery. This was not the fault of the vendor, rather the software used to book the item. 2 hours. I rented a Lamborghini recently in South beach, from prestige motors and that only took around 3 minutes.Nick H.

This location corrected a situation where the vehicle was to be picked up at another location with a reservation, after 3 hours on the phone with uhaul and 4 different people they tried to send me to a out of state location over 1 hour away to pick up a vehicle< I found 1 20 minutes away.....total set back time over 4 hours. also had a leak in roof, reported at drop off.John E.

Getting charged an entire day for a few hours kind stinks. I knew when I reserved the vehicle that it was a 24 hour situation so I reserved it for two days, just in case. I ended up going over the 24 hours by around 4 hours and payed for two days. Again, I knew I was going to pay for the second day I just wish you had some kind of discount for returning the vehicle early.Dallas M.

This location no longer excepted Uhaul equipment. I had to extend my reservation by a day instead of a few hours because they close early. The Uhaul representative that I talked to on the phone did not tell me that they no longer accepted Uhaul, but was glad to charge me $40 for another day. The next morning when I went to drop the truck there, the guy cursed at me and told me to take the truck to the Exxon station down the road and to tell Uhaul to stop sending fuckin equipment to him. So I went to the Exxon station and they told me to "get that truck out of here", he didn't want anymore trucks. So I called Uhaul again, explained everything to them and said I felt that I should not have to pay the $40 for the extra day because the first place closes early and had to wait till the next day to find out he was not a dealer anymore. I don't think she cared too much about that and found me a third place to take the truck to. She called ahead to make sure they would take the truck. She did a good job, but no $40 credit. I like Uhaul and their equipment, but I am disappointed by the $40 charge. I have rented many Uhauls and in the pass if I knew I was going to miss my drop time by a few hours because of rain or a very hot day and I worked a little slower, I would call and they were very understanding. This time I get charged $40, get cursed at and told to get that truck out of here. I am going to rent a Uhaul again in a few weeks, because I like your equipment, but I still feel I should get the $40 back. Sincerely, Ralph PohlRALPH P.
Equipment was rusty and full of clay. They made me go and get another vehicle to tow a car dolly. When my jeep has a U-Haul hitch and I can tow over 8000 pounds. Plus I have the tow option in my Jeep. The vehicle I was trying to tow only weighed less than 2000 poundsAustin H.

Ask for identification, clean the equipment, maintain the safety of the equipment(tow dolly), make sure ahead of time that the customer needs can be met(no blankets in truck of 60 ordered-not enough on hand anyway), and clean/service the interior of the cab(smokers smell dirt sand etc...)Jeff J.
I paid my deposit and cash and cash for my rental when I got to the drop off point the person in charge said they can't give me any money back and that the owner would have to send me a check mind you I paid in cash so I saw another U-Haul place on the way there at a truck-stop figured they should have enough money to give me my $100 deposit back which because of mileage had dwindled to $96. So I arrived at the truck stop to drop off my U-Haul and pay more mileage down to $91 now and was told that I can't even drop the truck off there because I didn't use a credit card that they don't give out cash and that U-Haul would not send me a check for my deposit so I'm standing in a busy truck stop trying to call U-Haul when I did get U-Haul on the phone they were very helpful so I park the truck again and went in handed the phone to the attendant which promptly gave me attitude and handed it off to a co-worker and stormed off. Extremely unprofessional! Long story short U-Haul will mail me my check and I did drop the truck off there wow never had an experience like this before rented a lot of U-Haul trucks to go cross-country never had a problem thanks for letting me vent. Now mind you the location that is on this report is not the location I dropped the truck at you'll have to check your records and find that out the location stated here is the first location that they were at least going to mail me a check so I don't have a problem with that one for the one I actually dropped the truck at which should have been a little more cordialdwayne K.

I specifically reserved a tow dolly on line to cut out in store time, but it still took me well over an hour to complete the rental as all of my information had to be re entered, then the company's internet signal was super crappy, both associates had to pull it up on their phones.brenda H.
The cashier was not knowledgeable on the details of pricing, the difference between local pricing and one way moves. Was unable to explain charges on my bill and not attentive to my order requests to add insurance, charge for a 1 day afternoon rental, etc. I am unhappy with the service you provide to one way customers forcing them to pay for a minimum of 2 days for a one way rental. In my experience we only planned to use the truck from 9:30 am until around 3: 30 pm the same day to try and save us on moving expenses and way railroaded into the minimum of a 2 day charge. the drop off location was very professional and we had no problem with them. The problem itself was in the actual 26' U haul that we had rented. The cigarette lighter did not work so I was unable to charge my phone during my 8 hour trip. The gas gauge didn't work so I had no clue as to the amount of gas in the truck. The passenger turn signal does not work when the headlights are on (my trip was at night). When hitting a bump in the road the dashboard itself almost fell off.Steven W.
Don't lie to customer about vehicle availability/options. Associate didn't provide me with a paper receipt, said I'd be emailed one, which was never received. Because of that, I didn't know how much gas to put in upon return. Also, she told me I could return my vehicle any time at the return location since it was 24/7 and had after hours, but I was charged for an extra dayDonald T.

Cashier was by herself in this big gas station / truck stop store. She was attempting to check us in on the computer at the same time she had to wait on a constant flow of customers. It was a disaster. It took 45 minutes to get our truck and I am NOT exaggerating. When we finally got the truck, there were a bed of easily visible cigarette ashes in the driver's door storage panels so it is obviously that cleaning up these vehicles after they are used is not part of the rental process. This location should not be permitted to rent trucks if they don't have the staff on-hand to handle the procedure in a timely manner. I did not expect to have to stand on my feet for 45 minutes watching people getting rung up for coffee and lottery tickets. I would definitely never choose this location to pick up a truck.William C.

We tried to drop off at another location here in Youngstown, at a small motel/Uhaul dealer. The older gentleman was very rude and told us we could not drop it off there to take it somewhere else. We said the the lady where we rented it said we could take it to any dealer near us. He acted like we were bothering him, and he just said he wouldn't take it, to go to another one. Then he went back and sat at his computer desk. So we took it to the next one down the road on Hwy231. They were very nice!James M.

I reserved a truck and a storage unit several weeks in advance before moving. I called the day before and confirmed my reservations for both truck and storage unit.. When I arrived to pick up my truck, they did not have one. It took me 5 hours to find another truck, and I had to reschedule my movers. But it does not end there, When I arrived to my destination, I was informed that even though I had a reservation, they did not have a storage unit available to me. I then had to reschedule my movers again. I spoke with several supervisors and managers at the 1-800 number, no one helped me...just kept transferring me for hours!! I asked the GM from the storage location to call me, Mr. Tim Turner. Needless to say I still have not gotten a call back. Worst experience of my life. 0 customer service!
