The building that my unit is located in does not appear to be well maintained. There was debris and what appeared to be animal droppings coming from the ceiling and covering all of our stuff. My family stored a vehicle at J&H for many years. Access to the vehicle was always convenient and the staff was consistently friendly and accommodating. The facility in which my classic car was stored was open concept, i.e. other things belonging to other tenants were stored in the same common space. This was acceptable to me because the facility was always secure and well managed. The only reason we left J&H was that we moved the car to its new home in Eastern Washington. The truck absolutely reaked like smoke to the point of nausea. It was clean but just stunk. Maybe air freshener or have smokeless trucks. Just a thought.Leland B.

The location was great but it was the wrong location for pick up and drop off. Wrong truck size. I made a reservation weeks in advanced and wasn't told there was not the correct truck size until moving day. Very dissatisfied with uhaul and will not recommend this company. I went out of my way to clean and fuel the truck during freezing temperatures to avoid any added charges to my credit card. They still overcharged my card $$58 for fuel when I fueled the vehicle correctly. Perhaps my eyes deceived me on the fuel gauge level but any misunderstanding could of been avoided if the lady would of just gone outside and checked the vehicle in with me present. She refused and just asked for the keys and asked me to leave. I am a neighbor of the drop off site and there are gas stations nearby. I will never use this location again. The customer service number, I had booked previous weekend but had to change the date because my roommate was hospitalized so we moved it to the next weekend. Then to find out the customer service rep did not do it so I had to book a bigger truck then they over charged me in gas. I only went 40 miles, charged for 60, then charged for 5.5 gallons of gas, I put gas in plus I only went 40 miles. Totally frustrated with the whole thing. The location I picked it up was great, very lady, truck was clean and I returned it clean.Carol D.

Communication is weird with uhaul. No call just an email. Wrong dolly. Location was miles away even though there were others closer. The whole oh don't worry we'll call you the night before thing is weird. Everything went fine and personnel were helpful just felt like I was hanging until I actually saw the trailer I was to use. I was helped by Patty and the experience was wonderful. I was very late getting to Bellingham from Seattle and was in contact with her by phone; both times she was professional and kind, and reassured me that the truck would be there even though I was so late. The previous driver had smoked, so Patty made sure it smelled ok and when requested, she ran inside to get some Febreeze to make it smell better. My pickup location experience was excellent but the location I was supposed to drop the truck, the location off of 352nd in Eatonville, what a mess! Not a good location to represent U-Haul! I am very thankful for the help of Maria at J&H Storage to assist in finding a different drop point! As far as U-Haul as a company, it will always be my prefered truck rental agency! I took nearly three hours to pick up our rental truck, with a reservation. We were sent to a different location, 30 minutes away from our reservation pick-up location. Due to the delay, we spent extra money on movers that was not intended, and had a very long move. We were really displeased with our service.Paul G.

I reserved the trailer at a different location than where I picked up the trailer. The location I reserved the trailer is 4549 Guide Meridian Road. The owner/ manager's name of this location is Dick Woods. He was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. The place was packed with frustrated customers. Dick Woods showed no urgency or awareness of the frustration. One customer even walked out. He also showed no interest in helping me resolve my confusion of picking up the trailer at a different location.DIANE W.
