Make sure that the equipment functions properly and is safe for customer use. I rented the vehicle transport, but the left wheel tie down strap was not functional. It clearly had been frayed for some time and was too short to wrap around the tire to reach the ratchet. I had to rely on just the right side wheel tie down to secure a vehicle . Very unsafe, and disappointing. I drove past several businesses to support the U-Haul location on the base because I am a veteran. I drove down to Richmond to pick up a vehicle and haul back to Bowie., A very long, nervous and slow trip back to AnDrew‘s Air Force Base. Please let’s do better. We owe our service members and retirees top quality business. That vehicle transport should be immediately deadline until the left will tie down is replaced. Accident waiting to happen.

Victor EThis location is not convenient to non-military personnel and should not be offered. The employee didn't have adequate equipment, so picking up the vehicle was a stressful process.
