Used app to rent a truck for local use. Initially had to take a bigger truck because they did not have the size I reserved. Ended up with a 15’ for the cost of a 10’ truck. Vehicle was immaculate with about 16,000 miles on it. App walked me through the whole rental process. Easy to do when picking up and dropping off. This was my first time using the app and renting a Uhaul truck without an agent. Easy to do with any smartphone. Took about 15 minutes each for pickup and drop off. Would not hesitate to do it again when I need a truck or trailer.

The guy that was running the location showed up drunk as you can possibly be to function. He drove there. He couldn't stand up straight. Almost fell over multiple times. The wiring harness didn't reach, so I asked him for an extension cable. He proceeded to stumble back to the store front. We waited like a good 5+ minutes. Before I went to go make sure he didn't fall down or something. I walk back in and he's asleep, in his office chair. Finally had to take one off another trailer. Guessing how it went together, I was successful. I had the tighten down the trailer onto the hitch. Cause he tightened a couple spins and said it was good. This was unacceptable. I had already had to downgrade my trailer size because u haul over booked on reservations. Which in turn made me have to leave alot of my personal items behind. And had to drive 50 minutes out of my way to go pick it up. But then the guys is drunk as fuck and was driving and couldn't manage to do his job. I haul had called my hours later telling me I missed my trailer pick up. I had to explain no I didn't miss it. I had it. But he didn't complete the trailer rental. The lady had to on the phone. Now what if I would have been pulled over? That trailer wasn't tied to anyone's name or license. I could have been arrested for theft. I will be making phone calls to people uhaul about my overall shitty experience that I've never had to experience from u haul before. And we haven't even received our u-box yet. So we'll see what else disappoints me after we get that.

Alex MI want to leave a 5 star review because although there were hiccups along the way with my U-Haul experience, the representatives I worked with (Frank in corporate, Shadow Mountain associate, San Miguel associate) were great. They were very communicative with every step and offered solutions. Frank was extremely helpful resolving the delays and issues with the rental. The San Miguel associate was wonderful and has amazing customer service skills (he is representing this company in a tremendous positive light). Then towards the end, the drop off location associate went out of her way to check with management and try to squeeze my 26' rental truck in their lot and it was a success. Every issue, every concern was addressed by these associates and they are the reason I will continue as a lifelong customer to U-Haul.

Shirley SProvide 36-48 hour notice when you change pick-up location. Also inform that no one will be at the office when you need to get the truck. Don’t deal with anyone at U-Haul IT dept.

Larry CI told the agent I wanted to rent a tow dolly and I would bring it back the next day. He did not discuss the rental agreement and pricing with me. He rushed through the process on his computer and charged my debit card. He said I would receive a copy by email and took me out of his office to hook up the tow dolly. When I got home, I checked my email for the receipt and saw he had charged me for two days plus extra add ons. I called him and told him it should have cost less than half of what he charged me. He said I could go to the Uhaul web site, file a complaint and request a refund. It could take up to 15 business days to get a refund if approved. I will not be doing business with this Uhaul site again.
