Rented a 5x10 storage area but later realized I needed a 10x10. The staff accommodated the change and prorated the charges for the time used. This is the second time I have rented storage space at Kent Storage and have been very pleased with the staff and service.

This isn't so much against the location as it is Uhaul in general. I had a horrible experience and will never rent Uhaul again. They didn't tell me my pick-up location changed until I was literally driving to pick mu unit up. I show up where I made the reservation only to have to drive another 40 minutes to a different location. Once there, I could not receive the code to get the key. I called the office multiple times and spent a total of about 2 hours on hold before they could finally connect me to the IT specialist that could finally fix the issue. All in al, the process took me 4 hours when in reality I should have had the truck and been back home in less than 1. Then I got a text the night before returning and told me I had to drop off at a different location. Why do you allow me to pick a place based on my location only to tell me at the 11th hour it isn't that location anymore. That is ridiculous. While on highway I noted many other companies that have trucks this size so I will never go through this again. Another lady at the pick up spot was having issues as well.

Windshield was covered with bugs. In sharp contrast, the team in Rochester, MN at U-Haul Moving and Storage goes out of their way to ensure every truck leaves the lot in clean condition—including the windshield. The truck had over 85,000 miles on it and sounded like the exhaust was blowing against the cab. Might be tolerable for a short local move but this was a 10.5 hour drive from Ohio to Minnesota. The noise level was measured between 75 and 80 dBA. We had to wear earplugs the whole way. My rental was moved from Twinsburg to Kent adding an additional hour of driving. I shared my disappointment with the agent from Kent and I personally believe that he punished me by selecting the truck he provided.

This location was easier to use than the typical U-Haul I go to. I was disappointed that the advertized 15-ft truck I rented was actually only 12 ft 5 in long. I found it in the fine print on the website after the fact but it required me to do twice as much moving and take twice as much time with my four movers. Renting a truck is always a frustrating experience and things like this make your customers lose trust. Call it a 12-ft truck or make it very clear that your 15 ft truck is not 15 ft.

The air conditioning in the truck did not work, it is summer that’s a necessity. The truck has shifting into gear issues. The fuel gauge is inaccurate, it stated 1/4 tank and was beeping 50 miles remaining. It took $35 in gas for less than 100 miles. This truck needs an overhaul badly.

The sign in and out after hours was not very clear. A code should be given prior to pick up time. The process put us about 45 minutes behind schedule for starting the move.

Location was good. Service was great but they booked the return location in Aberdeen instead of the Ash st. location I wanted. Ended up getting a relocation fee. Booking process was not as flexible as the Ash st. location.

Last fall, we needed a storage place for our convertible for the winter. Greg had a unit available that was just big enough to accommodate it. He assisted me in pulling the vehicle in and putting carpet under the wheels so they would not get a flat spot over the winter storage. When we got it out of storage a couple days ago it did not not even a little dust on it from it's 6 month storage. Everything about our experience was 5 star positive. I hope there is a unit open this fall so we can store it there again. Thumbs up!

The original location where I was supposed to pick up the trailer was much closer this was a 40 minute drive away. Also, forgot to give me the moving blankets I rented I had to go back and pick up from another location.

This was indeed the Drop off location. But I wasn’t the one who dropped off the equipment. And in typical U-Haul fashion… I cannot submit this review, until I make a selection that does not applicable but was not given that as a choice. Ahhh U-Haul, an endeavor into the area of One Extreme or Another…. A REALLY great experience…or an Incredibly Frustrating experience… in other words I.T people creating this survey, think about it…how can I honesty rate something I did not even experience. Nonetheless, I’m gonna give them an “Average”. Too bad, they might’ve been stellar, just the Canton location.

We liked the self service option. However, we needed an appliance dolly, paid for it but there was not one in the truck. We had to call and then go and pick one up at another location, which was fine. But we needed it when we picked up the fridge.

It was difficult to find being located and tucked away. There was a small sign but could use a bigger signifier that it is back there. Many other places to turn into and get lost. I had a wonderful experience and thank you all very much

My only real issues were not having access after 7pm. It was not a problem so much during winter months but it did create a problem when trying to move out. Also, the fact that there is only one dumpster for the entire facility and it is VERY small is ridiculous. There should either be a couple more dumpsters throughout the facility or a much larger dumpster. Other than that, I had no issues.

People next to the one storage unit I rented had their big Rottweiler and was allowing it to poop and pee all over in the parking lot and up the walls of the unit. It even tried peeing on some of my stuff I had sitting outside while going through things. They had cockroaches as well and their unit was full of trash! They seemed to hang out there frequently. Multiple times I tried to go there to go through stuff and these people would be there in the way and it smelled horrible of animal urine and feces. I eventually had to ask for another unit that ended up being more expensive due to these dirty people. Gave Greg notice of moving out and the week I moved out his dumpster was full and being a good customer, I didn’t want to set trash outside of the dumpster like he asked me not to do so, I left a few things in the unit stacked neatly. I paid for a unit that included dumpster access and I couldn’t take the trash with me so he manually charged a card not belonging to me (a friend helped me out with two payments and he saved the card information obviously) without authorization. The unit was also supposed to included electricity and it never worked the whole time I rented it until the last couple weeks if that. Paid over $200 a month for a unit that was not climate controlled and had no working electricity. The owner, Greg, kept saying I just didn’t know how to use the light switches then after almost a year of renting this unit says, “Oh I forgot I had the breakers switched off” because he decided he wanted to start charging more for the units that had electricity. The hours are ridiculously inconvenient. It made it hard to go do anything because the gates locked early and there was no pin or anything to get in after hours. I was trying to get some things sold but it was difficult because by the time people would be off work and able to get it, the gates would be locked. Plus it would be dark and the unit that was supposed to have electricity didn’t and the lighting outside the units was good for nothing but attracting bugs. This place is a joke and I highly DO NOT recommend. Over priced, inconvenient, trashy people aaaand let’s not forget Greg charges other people’s cards without authorization by keeping all the card info for any card used at the facility and if he feels like charging extra he will use anyone’s card without their permission.

I had a great experience storing items here for 8 months, in a 5’ x 10’ non-temperature controlled unit. When moving out, in October, there were stink bugs living in my non-sealed containers. Nothing was damaged- and the price was great.
