When renting it said i got free storage for a month, make sure to double check to see if your drop fof location has storage or your screwed like i was, and hte pick up people don't tell you that you are screwed.

I had to drive a total of 40km out of my way (40 total including both ways) because the vehicle I requested was at a different location. Instead of compensating me the difference, I was required to pay the mileage additionally to pick up the vehicle. Not impressed.

The Arnprior location was excellent and Mark was top notch. My one complaint was related to the Carp Road UHaul where I stopped with the trailer after unloading to inquire if I could drop the trailer there and save a return trip To Arnprior. There was a lady there in the office who told me I could at no cost and even took my contract and signed it off. About 45 morning mins later I received a call from Glen at the location telling me that there would be an extra charge and that this lady didn’t work for him. I had to drive back to the UHaul and then back to Arnprior or get charged $125 for wrong drop off I think they called the it. Very unprofessional and inconvenient for me and costly to return etc.

The trailer that we had rental was broken. After being there for about an hour, we had to drive 20 minutes out of our way to pick one up at a different location. We were not given a discount or anything for our inconvenience. In my opinion, that is not good customer service (although both gentlemen were very nice). Also, equipment should be checked prior to pick up day to ensure that it is in good working condition.

UHaul is a company ran in shambles. I order a rental truck to be picked up at Carlsbad Auto Service 6525 Russell Rd Carlsbad Springs, ON K0A 1K0 on June 2nd, 2018 at 3:30pm. I was charged $151.00 on June 2nd online. I went to go pick up at 4:00pm and was told there were no trucks as of yesterday morning. So I called your call centre. And I spoke to a women who refused to understand me and continuously said she didn't understand me. Then she put me on hold without my consent. Fortunately I was transfer to someone who was able to comprehend my situation and help me out. But when I arrived at the location I was forced to pay an additional $85.00 in addition to the $151.00 I already paid. He read the information that was provided in the system and they said I was text, never received, that I was called but left unknown. So how am I responsible for your miscommunication. Would never recommend UHaul after the hour of miscommunication and non sense I had to go through. If you have any questions. Call me at (613)265-9583

We had a problem with the auto hauler ratchet mechanisms. They definitely needed some lubrication. Aside from that it was a good experience.

check and insure windshield wipers are in better condition. the tires were also nearing their end of life. the truck wasn't very economical on the fuel consumption,even though I kept it in the green for the most part

We rented a cube van to pick up a set of furniture. We live in Arnprior and were picking up the set in Barrhaven. We rented the van at 3:30 (only because they close at 4pm) and returned before 10pm of the same evening. This cost us $175 which floored us. I was quiet upset at the cost and although we have used your trucks many times over the last 15 years we have decided that we will not be renting from Uhaul again. It is just too expensive. Our last move which we used your vans for was around the corner so it wasn't too bad but if you actually have to drive anywhere forget it the cost is too high. On a good note, the trucks at this location seem to be in better condition than ones we have rented before at other locations.

I wanted to pick the vehicle up from a different location, closer to my cottage. Organized it a month before. I called the day before and they said they didn't have it. I had to scramble and call u-haul customer service to make new arrangements. They made it right but customers beware, if you are arranging to pick up at a different location, ensure you call the day before, especially if it is a small town not a major hub.

as outlined in email to 849004_AFM@uhaul.com this morning (no reply as of now); 1: i was charged full day rental for 3 hrs of use. can we say double dipping. the truck had just been returned by another customer and i had it from about 14:30 to 16:45. 2: i filled the tank upon return. $34 for about 28 liters of gas. i put on 96KM (60 miles). looks like i paid for a good deal of the previous renter! not cool. i could have put in $15 and the gauge would have appeared full too. 3. customer service at the shop was friendly. 4. i would recommend this location for the convenience.

The local area manager (whatever the term) for my area (Arnprior,Ont) is a patronizing, judgemental self righteous ass! Who seems to lack common customer service skills especially when immediately belittling a person upon first talking. Not willing to do anything to assist when there’s an issue other the telling you “go try it again, if it doesn’t work call me” but has no back up plan other then to say “oh well, it won’t work” not to mention refuse to provide a contact number...

Hello, I had no issues with the rental process and equipment itself. I only had a bad experience with attaching the trailer to my vehicle. I was just about to do it myself when a representative from the U-Haul came to assist. I thought it might have been relatively simple any safe to lift the trailer onto the hitch ball. I did not expect the trailer to lunge forward quickly when we lifting the tongue together. It went past the ball and into my truck bumper with my baby finger caught in between. The force of the trailer severely pinched the finger tearing the skin and flesh inside. After taken my glove off to reveal my injury I new I had to stop the bleeding and moving quickly to bring the trailer home which luckily was only 1 street over. Once home I cleaned my wound which was revealing the inside contents of my finger and had my almost fainting wife take me to the hospital emergency to assess the damage. The triage nurse said I would require stiches and have to wait for the doctor to examine. My planned weekend trip had now been delayed until I could be released from the hospital. After a few hours of waiting to see the doctor and being treated the family was able to get on our way to our destination with trailer in tow. I was not able to do all the activities planned for the weekend and had some minor inconveniences but was able to return home safely 48 hours later. I expect my baby finger will take a long time to heal and will have a permanent scar to remind me of that day. To improve things for the next customer is to find out why the trailer did not have a simple crank jack stand to help with the installation and safety which probably could have helped been prevented of such incidents.
