Location was assigned when I asked for freedom to drop the truck off closer to the unloading point. The location was in a part of town that concerned me being out during the evening hours. While I appreciate the 24 hour drop off capability, I wish I had been able to drop the truck off 9/10s of a mile from the unload point vice having to drive 20 minutes to drop off.

Was closed when arrived at 830 am and turned in truck on website called them at 1030 and confirmed turn in with them and very cordial and thankful

I did not like the change of location - much further than my initial order. There were several places closer & a lot of time to get the size of vehicle there that I ordered.

Wouldn’t suggest this location to anyone, oddly enough there was another location a half a mile away but it wasn’t listed for the drop off. The other location has a better entrance and orderly lot. Why U-haul would have this business as a drop-off location is beyond me, probably the worst drop-off location. Doesn’t look like U-Haul vetted this location very well, no visible U-Haul signage on the front of the building from the direction I was driving.

First off, we needed to extend the rental but couldn’t. We weren’t even given the option. We called and spoke with 8 different uhaul customer service reps . None of them could help because this location was “locked” and it was after business hours. Finally the last lady just told us not to bring it back and call in the morning but we didn’t want to do that so we finally got it unloaded. When we finally got there it was dark and the check in instructions were terrible. We had zero idea of where to leave it at the drop off location. It just said don’t mark it in front of an entrance or blocking traffic or in front of any gates or storage buildings. The entire property is nothing but entrances and gates etc. After we decided on a spot to leave it, police sirens and blue lights started going off all around, so we were terrified to get out and take pictures. Then we couldn’t find a drop box for the keys. I’d love to know where it was just to satisfy my curiosity because we looked for 10-15 minutes. Contemplated just chucking them over the gate. We tried to shove them through the front door, thought about leaving them in the truck and locking the door but we didn’t want to be liable if someone broke in and stole the truck. Totally realistic thought considering all of the blue lights. So we took the keys and stuck them at the drop box at the location down the street across from the prison. Theirs was lit up and located right at the front door easy to find. So the keys are at 2817 N Pace BLvd in the orange drop box. My wife will be calling both locations in the morning to let them know. Best we could do with the cards we were dealt.

This location seemed a little sketchy and it was hard to unload as you had to back across a street to unhook your trailer. While you were unhooking your equipment your vehicle blocks most of the road with quite a bit of traffic and the location didn't seem to be in the best part of town. Plus, the location was small and very little area to back a trailer into.

King Cobra charged me 270 for fuel when I filled the truck up and now my account is overdrawn

The lady, Maria, that was assisting us was less than friendly from the start. You could tell we were a bother to her, just for showing up to pick up a small trailer. She muddled her way through the paperwork, gave us subpar directions on where to go to pick up the trailer, made us back between the tongue of another U-Haul and drainage ditch (narrowly missing both) to get into the lot then struggled to move a 4x8 trailer. Maria informed us it was U-Haul policy that she hook everything up, so we let her, she took pictures and we were off. I will add, Maria couldn’t figure out how to hook up the chains so my fiancé had to do that, she started to tell us “you should be fine without them” but thankfully we know better. We pulled through the intersection their shop sits at and immediately the trailer pops off the hitch and is now hanging by the chains, smacking into the back of our vehicle. Thank dog WE hooked up the chains! I called the shop and was obviously very flustered by what had just happened, explained the situation to Maria and asked for someone to come assist us or even just look at what happened….and she hung up on me! I thought surely she hung up because she was on her way out of the door, which I could clearly see from where we were, to come apologize for her mistake and help us. Five minutes later she calls back and says to call U-Haul, there’s nothing she can do. I told her exactly how I felt about that and asked to speak to the owner, Brian, I could hear coaching her on what to say only to be told “uh…he’s in a meeting”. When we were in the shop not ten minutes prior, he was helping another employee package boxes. When there’s an issue caused by HIS employee he’s suddenly in a meeting? To this date, almost two months later, Brian has yet to reach out to us. The only apology I got was after hearing Maria’s excuses and telling her she had yet to apologize for the mistake she made, then she said “well I do apologize but…”. Hardly a legitimate apology from a crummy satellite shop. U-Haul did refund us our money and I hope they, at the very least, fined King Cobra. Ideally they would pull the contract entirely and have Maria fired for negligence. Had we listened to her and not connected the chains that trailer could have caused significantly worse damage to our car, someone else’s or gone off the road into one of the houses nearby….and Maria couldn’t muster up even a fake “I’m so sorry that happened”.

Mileage fees were not explained in person. I was told about a after hours return fee which was fine. But I was not told about the extra money that I don't have being charged, after already spending a lot on the rental and then ridiculous gas prices! Not happy at all!! Would like the other $45+ refunded!!

No parking for large uhuals except in extremely over grown strip off street right up against another business and chain link fence. The parking lot for the business is riddles with potholes. When told to park in the grass strip behind another large truck that took up most the space the attendant shrugged and just repeated instructions to park. Seriously don't know why we were sent to that one when a larger and better equipped ( for large trucks ) was less than a mile up the Rd and we had to pass it.

This location was fine, but the overall experience with UHaul was not good. I had reserved a truck from a location near my move for pickup at 7:30. 20 minutes before pickup time, I was called and informed there was not a truck available there, and the only one available was 15 miles away in Pensacola, AND it would not be available until 2 hours later. This was going to add at least 30 miles to my move, and asked the person if they would be charging me for that, he said they would adjust it. Also, the new location closed at 2pm, so it was going to be impossible to return the truck before closing, which meant a $20 late return charge. I purposely made my reservation at a location that would give me enough time to return before closing. They were supposed to not charge me for that because of the change, but yet they did. Im going to have to call UHaul to get these corrected and i have no doubt that it will be difficult. Overall, bad Uhaul experience!!!! Again, at the location on Pace, the people were very nice and accommodating. This is a systemic problem with Uhaul.
