Truck was worn out, sloppy steering. Wouldn't want to go on a road trip with it. But easy for in town rental. The 29.99 dollar in town rental price is BS. You d have to live next to the store and move to the store for that to work out. We moved 1 block, with a total.of 11 miles traveled and the rental was 81 bucks.... quite a bit more than 30.bucks...

When we return the U-Haul they had to see that it was not even hitched up properly and we were lucky it did not come loose on the highway. He inspected the trailer and made sure it was OK. We returned it clean, even though it was given to us filthy as my pictures that we submitted indicate.

My comment is in regards to the Regent, MB location where I was “supposed” to pick up the U-Haul. I had my U-haul booked a week in advance to move all of our belongings 12 hours away. The day before we are supposed to pick up our U-Haul from the location that is very close to our house, we are told that they do not have the trailer we reserved and the only one that is available in the entire province is in Portage La Prairie, which is 1.5 hours from our house. Without any other option, we had to drive an hour and a half away to pick up an already very expensive U-Haul ($1000). Not really sure what the point of reserving a trailer is, if they are just going to call the day before to tell me the trailer I booked and received confirmation for, doesn’t exist and we have to figure out a way to get it.

Suggestions for anti theft and anti rattle equipment. And having these neighborhood dealer have them for sale/rental would be amazing.

I was advised one day before pickup that I’d have to drive 100km to another city to pickup my reserved vehicle. Excellent service at that location though. Brakes were very soft.

This is not against the portage location as they were thrown into the Absolutely horrible service I received from your “booking manager”Will not recommend your services to anyone. First I booked a month ago…. Then the day before (less then 24hours) I am told you wouldn’t have it at the location I requested. So that was dealt with and as she confirming I am told my trailer won’t be ready until 4:30. My booking was at 10 am to which it needed to be as I was moving my 92 year old grandmother. So then my location is switched from wpg to portage because they would have a trailer ready for 9 am…. I get there and you guys decided I guess I didn’t need the 6x12 that I booked. Well I needed it and the 4x9 trailer wasn’t going to work. This was an absolute nightmare and the worst company I have ever dealt with. Like why even make a booking if you can’t function enough to make sure it’s where it needs to be!!!!! Horrible and nightmare that’s how i describe your company!!!!!

Maintenance was not up to standard. I would have lost a wheel bearing and tire on the highway if I didn't find it myself. Extremely dangerous situation. Staff at Laws automotive was responsive and understanding. However the unit was compromised upon pickup and support was not prompt once the issue was found.

Laws Automotive had the trailer I was looking to rent. The online process to rent equipment, through the U-haul app was straightforward and easy to navigate. When I arrived to pickup my rental, Laws were quick and easy to deal with and also helped to connect my rental to my vehicle. Would recommend Laws Automotive for your U-haul rental needs.

Went to pick up location we were told which was diamond d auto sales and I haul said there was no reservation so we went to laws and they had only a 20 foot truck available, we only reserved a 10 foot. Not only did we have to use the bigger truck, we had to spend a lot more on gas because of the bigger truck. We then went to our drop off location and it didn’t have a sign anywhere saying drop box so had to call customer support once again to figure out where to drop it off. All in all not a good experience

showed me how to rig ,the car i was getting on the trailer ,explained how everything worked on the trailer. very good service all and all .even gave me directions to get back on the hwy.

The tires on the trailer were different pressures, ranging 20 psi to 70. Which was strange but everything else was good.

When you go to customer service desk to pick up the truck and gotta do paperwork and pay don't put that time that was used to do all that towards the time you have scheduled to use the truck. I was docked 30 mins from my 4 hours bc it took that long to get the truck and do everything that was needed. Other than that my experience was great. Will use again in the future.

I was in a rush picking up the trailer and I didn’t try the rear door, the person giving me the trailer never opened it to show me it was clean or anything. So I guess this is somewhat my fault, but upon arriving at my residence to start packing up for my move I opened the door and it got stuck half way and the inside was not previously swept out. I went to a closer dealer and they had their tech look at it and found the rails for the door was damaged and the door jumped off it’s track. They had me drive to a 3rd location to swap it out for another trailer, which was smaller than the one I rented. All in all a less than stellar experience and I was 4 hours late getting started packing up.

The lady at the U-Haul 800 number told me that it came with everything we needed. It did not. It also had a different pin system than my truck. Thankfully this location knew my nephew who picked up the trailer and lent him a hitch/hat we needed. I was also told by that same lady on the 800 number that I could pay if I did the rental with her. That too was incorrect. We also had to wait from the 12pm pick up time that was paid for/arranged for the trailer to be returned. This did not happen until almost 4 pm. I returned it the next day at 6pm and was still charged two full days?? (Also noticed the return was not entered until the next day at 9am).

I booked the trailer 2 weeks in advance and then 2 days before my trip they called to tell me that they don’t have one available for a one way trip, and the closest one available was somewhere in ontario. was not very happy with the experience

My mom always told me "if you got nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all" It was the worst experience ever! Overcharged, wasn't shown the fuel level before leaving. Then charged me more after I returned and I had no extra miles and gas was back to where it should have been. Crooks

The folks at Law's automotive were friendly and helpful. U-Haul informed me at the last minute (15 minutes before I was supposed to pick up the 6x12 trailer that I reserved) that they didn't have my trailer and the best they could do was offer a 5x8 trailer or wait until the next day. Being that I took the day off to move I took the 5x8 trailer and had to make 2 trips. So the U-Haul experience wasn't the best, but the friendly folks at Law's helped me make the best of a bad situation.

The location we picked up the uhaul from was great, but our experience making our reservation online was not good. We made a reservation for in Portage La Prairie MB but we kept getting told we'd need to pick up in Winnipeg, MB which is an hour from where we wanted the Uhaul. It caused us a lot of stress.
