The overall experience was terrible. The truck had a very bad smell in the cargo area, like the previous renter transported rotten meat or something of that nature. The smell eventually dissipated by multiple treatments of Febreze and leaving the door open. The interior of the cabin had many ants all over the place, especially around the door panel, door frame and driver's seat. Lastly, after I drove it a few miles, the exterior rear tire on the passenger side blew up. I contacted U-Haul and they sent help quickly. Although the repair was done efficiently, the truck should have never been rented in the condition the old tire was. The tire was very worn. I reported to issues with the ants and cargo area smell to U-Haul customer service and the representative opened a ticket. The U-Haul representative mentioned I would be hearing from the store General Manager by Wednesday. I hope the General Manager makes it right.

Slava OU-Haul Customer Service, I am writing to formally express my frustration with my recent rental experience and to request a full refund due to the inconvenience and additional costs I incurred. I reserved a 15-foot truck a week in advance for my move. Two days before my scheduled pickup, I was notified that the pickup location had changed. While this was not a major issue, the real problem began when I arrived at the designated location at 16784 NE 2nd Ave, North Miami Beach, FL 33162, only to be informed that they did not have the 15-foot truck I had reserved and only had a 10-foot truck available. Since the 10-foot truck would not accommodate my move, I was directed to the U-Haul Center at 2269 NE 163rd St, North Miami Beach, FL 33162, where I was assured a 15-foot truck would be available. However, when I arrived, the staff at that location were neither helpful nor accommodating. Worse, I was informed that they did not have any trucks available at all and that my only option was to return to the original location and take the 10-foot truck. At this point, I had no choice but to accept the 10-foot truck, which did not come with the dolly I had originally requested and paid for. This forced me to make nearly three trips to complete my move, which significantly increased my time, effort, and expenses. Had U-Haul provided the 15-foot truck I reserved, I could have completed my move in a single trip as planned. Due to this mismanagement and the additional costs I incurred, I am requesting a full refund for my rental, including any charges for the missing dolly. I trusted U-Haul to provide the truck I reserved, and the failure to do so caused unnecessary stress and financial burden. I expect a prompt resolution to this issue. Please let me know how you plan to address this matter. Thanks, Frankie
Francisco COvercharged for insurance which I never take. Drove 15 miles & refueled ($10) & was charged for fuel. Not too mention the owner called me late looking for the truck keys when it was long returned in the box. Owner wasn’t even there to dispatch the rental. He did over the phone with me & non English speaking store associate. Just piss poor customer service. & now I have to dispute charges with my bank because of local incompetence. Thank you for a terrible experience again.
