Loyd was outstanding! We were in a bind and he called other customers, upgraded their trucks so we could have the truck we needed. Lincoln was a little out of the way for us but he blew the local customer service away, we'll be going there from now onZAK K.
I was very disappointed with the service. I presented to the site wearing a mask (that is mandated state wide). Upon walking up to the desk, the gentleman working the desk (who was not wearing a mask) stated that I should know COVID is a hoax. I replied that I work in a hospital and just want to protect everyone around me since I am exposed to a lot of patients. The worker then holds his phone up to me showing a graph of the US economy falling after reaching 56 cases and asked me to explain the politics behind it. I informed him I did not want to discuss politics, but just wanted to get my truck information. It is very disheartening that I would be so disrespected after working in a hospital during these trying times while trying to do the right thing (that is also mandated). I would like to know that this will be addressed.Madeline M.

I have already recommended this location to a friend. I cannot say enough for Lloyd the manager. We drove out to Lincoln in a motorhome thinking we would rent a car only to find out enterprise closed. Now what? I called Lloyd hoping he had a pickup, He didn't but he came to us and drove me all over trying to find a car. Then the following day he called and said he had a small moving van and we were able to do all the things we had come to take care of. Thanks to Lloyd it never would have happened. Thank you Lloyd and thank you Uhaul for having such a nice enjoyable and caring employee.Mike C.
We had to pick up our rental trailer at this location due lack of availability at the location we booked at. WHY ARE THERE NONE AVAILABLE WHEN BOOKED AHEAD BY ALMOST TWO WEEKS!! This was disappointing and an inconvenience to say the least.michael H.

We had originally booked the pick up of the trailer in Decatur where we live and was called to let us know this wasn't the case - UHaul needs to update their websites better or something - we got lucky as my husband works in Lincoln so it wasn't too much of an inconvience to have to go to another town to pickup the trailerLARRY P.

The truck was terribly out of alignment, so much so that in the 1,000 mile trip both front tires were ruined. One exploded while I was on the interstate, almost causing an accident. The steering wheel had to be held at almost 45 degrees just to go straight, so it's not like it was hard to notice.Mark L.
Loyd was very helpful. He took the time to point out hints on driving the truck. He had excellent advice on where to get gas, tips on getting up the mountains in Tennessee. The front window Was a bit dirty he went and cleaned it off right away even though I said I would take care of it when I went to the gas station. Just an overall pleasure to deal with him. Customer needs to be made aware that a possibility exists, that had it rained, top of truck had a hole that may leak. Note to this effect written on the back of paperwork and not stated by dealer. When asked if unit had been if unit had been disinfected (virus contamination) the answer from dealer why would I do that, its not contaminated and what would you use for that. My response to that was Lysol. "We use bleach." Not a bleach odor anywhere in the truck ??Jerry M.

I cannot leave a comment on the clean and inviting portion for the drop off location as I did not go inside. I just dropped the truck off and placed the keys in the drop box outside. I spoke to the individual on the phone and he talked with him for a good long while. He was very nice and personable.Ricky W.

Contact person at location was extremely rude. Windshield on truck was cracked but not reported to us. I would go to any location but this one!Walter W.
Location not staffed. Getting the key was not easy because the lock box code was not provided during the mobile check-in procedure. When I the app asked if I had my key and I clicked "no", it said "go to the service counter and show attendant this screen." I had to contact U-Haul customer service via phone and talk to two reps to be provided the code for the lock box. A bit tedious. Took about 10 minutes to actually get the key.William E.

The man who rented me the u haul was rude and never explained all the charges! The office we went to was a complete filthy disaster. The truck was dirty when I took it yet he called and told me to come sweep it out or he'd charge me another $25.00. I had to stop packing and go back to sweep it out. My daughter and I have rented from u haul multiple times before with no problem. After this I'll more than likely find another truck rental. He acted like he was doing me a favor instead of me being a paying return customer.Kortney G.

Just unsure how there was a $300 difference in 1 way vs bringing it back, absolutely ridiculous when 2 weeks prior to my rental my girlfriend got a 26 ft super mover for 1 way $80 more than my 12 foot trailer was to the same location also 1 way, will not use uhaul againCorbin L.
This man should not be employed by Uhaul. He had no idea what he was doing. He had to start over 3 times and call for help. After 4 hours, I left without the trailer I rented. He tried to secure the light adapter with a BUNGIE CORD. He said "The lights only have to work as you leave my parking lot." It was a nightmare. And he has his annoying dog that barks during every phone conversation and when a customer is in the store; so much that you can't hear what is being said. EXTREMELY unprofessional.KATHI P.

The gentleman was very helpful when we picked up the truck! The issues we had were not visual. One of the reverse lights was out; it pulls to the right while driving (needs alignment); Was difficult to go over 50 mph possibly the transmission? These things were not checked before us leaving. All of these things would not have had anything to do with the pick up location people. UHaul CO should have fixed it.Matt C.

I have always had great service at Lincoln Self Storage and would recommend this as the BEST place to rent a trailer in Illinois. You will not find a better experience in the state--I have rented U-Haul trailers for years and was about to quit altogether until I found this place.Judy H.

I rented a few weeks before needing the truck. Two days before pick up I was told I would have to go to Lincoln to get the truck - -40 miles away from Springfield. Cost me gas and myself and another person 2 hours of timeAlan B.

I picked up my rental and worked within Lloyd in Lincoln Illinois. I believe he was a dealer. My experience with him was superb. His service was excellent and uhaul is lucky to have him. Please pass this back to him for me. Regarding the 2 26 ft trucks I rented, both leaked at the rear door and water seeped along the floor and got my contents very wet. There wwere rain storms while I was loading and again unloading overnight. So the leaks happened while the trucks were parked and locked up. I was told the gasket seals were replaced every 10,000 miles but based on my experience, there is something wrong with either the installation or design of those door seals. Please fix for the next customer. Thank youmichael Y.

The truck that we asked for originally was for a 26 foot truck. We were told that a 20 foot would be enough. It was not. we gad to rent a second one a few days later. The first truck was dirty in the over cab area and so we could not use it, losing more space. Our first person who received us was Lloyd and he was very focused on trying to save us money. I was very happy with his final price. Our second encounter was with someone who was admittedly inexperienced and so we had to pay more, although the truck was smaller. We did drive about 30 miles more so I was not expecting the price to be the same, but not $40 more. I would go back to this location ONLY if Lloyd was helping me. He made a difference.Steve H.
