These comments are not specific to either the drop off or pick up location but the ask we received to transport a trailer from the pick up to the drop off location in exchange for compensation/miles/extra days. We were asked to bring a trailer from location in Maine to the original drop off location of North Haverhill. In talking to the representative on the phone I said I didn't want to pull a 16 ft trailer with the 20ft truck becuase it was going to be snowy but that I'd be willing to pull it with my personal truck. He checked the specifications of my vehicle and we agreed on this plan. By helping Uhaul out with these logistics, we received an extra day on the reservation and 100 additional miles so that we could travel the highway route instead of low milage back roads. When we got to the pick up location the staff informed me that my truck wasn't big enough to pull the empty trailer and that I'd have to pull it with the Uhaul. I reluctantly agreed and we made a plan to pick up the trailer after we loaded up the Uhaul. As we were leaving the staff member informed us that once the trailer was attached to the truck we were not allowed to remove it and that the ramp for the truck isn't usable with the trailer attached. Additionally at this time, the drop off location was automatically changed by Uhaul to Littleton, NH which is 30 miles further than our planned drop off. So, if we were to continue with this offer, we would have to pick up the trailer after loading the Uhaul, tow it 5 hours to the NEW drop off location, drop the trailer off at the location, drive back to where we're moving to, unload the uhaul, then drive back to the NEW drop off location. The fact that the ramp is unusable with the trailer attached and you can't detach the trailer independently makes this ask from Uhaul much more of an inconvenience. I was all in for helping uhaul with the logistics but I feel as if the complications were not adequately explained nor was the compensation offered anywhere near worth it for the extra time it would take us to help uhaul out.

ANDREW CWe had a terrible experience with the uhaul we rented today. The rental place and people were absolutely wonderful it was the tires on the truck. We live where there is snow and that truck was not good on snow. We couldn’t even get up our driveway and had to turn around and bring it back. I would suggest uhaul put some tires on with chains or snow tires for wintertime. We slid all over the place. A day plan for moving, didn’t happen. Again, it was just the tires, no fault of the rental agency. Thank you.

Chris PIf possible, I would give this location ten stars out of five. I’ve never experienced the kind of customer service I experienced at this location. The lady at the desk was beyond helpful and professional at every detail during our conversation. She even hooked the trailer to our vehicle, even though she had a cast on her leg. She was a blessing to deal with and I let her know.
ALBERTO FEverything was fine until I got the bill and found out that because the rental dipped into the weekend my mileage charge went from the advertised rate of $1.25/mile to 1.45/ per mile (or in my case $117.84). Plus I was charged $40/day for Safe Move Plus when what I ordered was the $15/day basic damage insurance for the vehicle alone, (so another $75 overcharge of a total loss of $192 .84) that I feel cheated out of. Be very careful when renting from U-Haul. If the want to "improve for the next customer" they could start with a policy of transparency and honesty. I will be taking these charges up with my CC company.

MARY TThis comment is for U-Haul in general., The drop off location was 26 miles the opposite direction of my way home., I called and they said there was nothing they could do., That does not make sense to me at all. I almost exceeded my mileage allowance because of it Need to readjust that program. Also, the program for estimating fuel to put back in the tank is sketchy I overfilled because there’s no way to really gauge it so I gave U-Haul probably $20 out of my pocket which is disgraceful., That needs adjustment as well. Drop off location was fantastic as far as service goes.
MARK MOwners responsive, very nice. Unit was clean. I returned early and they were able to meet me and unhook the very heavy trailer! Thanks again!
