PAUL RI am totally dissatisfied with my recent experience with U-Haul. Initially, I reserved a 20' truck WELL in advance, only to find out at the last minute that my pick-up location had been changed from just one minute away to a staggering 30 minutes from my home. This abrupt change was incredibly inconvenient and forced us to completely rearrange our plans to pick up the truck. The switch not only delayed our schedule but also created challenges due to my work commitments; my husband was unable to walk to the new location to retrieve the truck. The $50 credit issued to my account hardly covered the gas expenses incurred from both our personal vehicle and the truck itself due to this unexpected change. It’s frustrating to feel like U-Haul, a company that holds a significant share of the rental market, has the upper hand over its customers. In light of this experience, I will be exploring alternative options such as 'Pods' or full-service moving companies for our upcoming cross-country move. I have used U-Haul in the past for every move I've made and was satisfied with the service, but this experience has unfortunately left us feeling extremely let down. Overall, I would rate this experience a disappointing "F."

PRUDENCE ANot the owner's fault but the car dolly that I rented here blew a tire during my trip. Location is a grocery store, owner is very nice/helpful but distracted.
Steven SYour computer program is messed up. We were told we had a truck. We were told we didn't have a truck. We're told we did not have to return our truck until 1AM. WHAT? Sounded fishy to me, and turned out to be untrue.We're told our truck was 40 miles away in Tacoma. We're told we had a truck at the original location again. We're told we didn't have that truck. I called and said why don't we have a truck when you told us we had a truck. I mean it was back and forth and back and forth. A nightmare when reliance is vital. It would behoove you to fix that. On the other hand, EVERY PERSON involved was the epitome of polite and competent customer service. Both locations are excellent. It's not their fault your computer system is broken.
Cynthia AEnsure the equipment is ready to tow. Driver side tire strap wouldn’t work. Very unsafe operation. Previous customers evidently caused not only damage to the body, but too the tire strap aswell preventing a vehicle from being safely secured.

Jim OThe local store personnel were a pleasure to deal with. But..... The U-haul main distribution center (in Kent Wa I believe) was a nightmare to deal with. They constantly were changing the arrangements I had with 'The Local Store' to fit into their schedule. Then, after picking up the Transporter, they kept sending text messages for various things. Sorry, but I do not reply or talk on my phone while I am driving.

Duane PThe manager at the drop off location was great, he made an effort to help us with the strange conditions of the return (we were forced to go an hour and half past our desired drop off point, and then we were charged for the extra milage). The over all uhaul experience was weird for the reasons mentioned above.

Joyce LUhaul trailer rented from Auburn location, blew truck fuse turning lights on. Uhaul help insisted on driving at night, to return trailer no option. The local store allowed trailer drop & they took care of return. Uhaul help should learn customer service from the local store.
DAVID AAlthough i didn't like the my original pick up location wasn't open as expected and I had to drive 30miles to another pick up site. That was inconvenient and more expensive on gas
Ben TWhen it asks to rate "this location" I would say that the first place I went to,,: Ridgefield Mini Storage in Vancouver Washington was Incredible! The Ladies working there were Outstanding.. From there though it was just average. I had to travel three hours away just to pick up our Truck and it was an average little town in the middle of Nowhere. Dave was very helpful though. The Vancouver Washington "Ridgefield Mini Storage" location and staff should get 5 Star rating and awards for their intelligent help and compassion. The facility was close to my home and beautifully clean.. Wish I could have picked my U-Haul truck up from them.. But they set me up and got me going.. Many thanks to them.
