This was my first time renting a U-Haul. I didn’t realize that third party franchises like this one manage U-Haul rentals. I admittedly should’ve done more research or simply googled the address. The street view alone would’ve deterred me. Despite reserving the rental online, it took about 30 minutes, maybe more, to drive off with the truck. While he seemed well mannered, the gentleman who assisted me clearly wasn’t well versed in the rental process, and the language barrier certainly did not help. He asked all the same questions I had already answered when I made the reservation. He made a phone call to ask several questions because he didn’t know what he was doing. He also helped customers in between the process, which extended the wait even longer. Not to mention the smell and the environment outside of the location, which did not seem safe. The price of the rental turned out to be more than double what I what was quoted on the app. Gas and mileage was not discussed at any point. He didn’t make note of the mileage when I picked up the truck or when I dropped off. With all this in mind, I’m wondering how legit this is and if I was taken advantage of or overcharged. I certainly would not ever rent a moving truck from this location again.

Over charged for a filty vehicle with no brakes and stalled on me 3 times and the storage part leaked . Worse uhaul experience ever. Do not recommend any neighborhood uhual rental. Go to a corporate one instead.

The vehicle I reserved was missing because the store owner was just opening hie store , and discovered that the 15 ft truck had not been returned by the previous renter. My only option was to rent their only other appropriate truck, as 26 ft, at a higher rate. The ruckk worked well during it's use. I returned the truck early, and the truck had 2 rear lights that stayed on, even after the truck was shut down. I did report it to the store worker in charge of everything, running the grocery store, and checking the UHaul business in and out. He was inundated with other grocery store customers and he couldn't inspect the vehicle, outside in the parking lot, after it was returned. The original worker who checked me out and the man who checked me in were very courteous and as helpful as they could be, under the circumstances. I have no complaints against them personally at all. I will be renting again in the next 2 weeks but will not return to that location.

Couldn’t have been better! Great customer experience and people at Lofet were so nice! Definitely recommend and will be back myself.
