There was a terrible misunderstanding with the renting of “ in house “ trailer and those that can be dropped off at other locations. We rented on line , didn’t realize at all that it was to be brought back to Tampa when we were moving our son from Tampa to Alabama. The website only brought up the one site that we normally use so that is where we rented from . We automatically rented , saw that we had a receipt and picked it up with absolutely no help from the people there . We did mention when picking it up we were leaving Tampa headed back to Alabama but was just told to go pick it out ourselves. It would be $18/day . We ended up having to pay close to $700 !! Very disappointed! We were told at our location in Alabama that it would not have been handled that way ! We will not use Tampa location again. We were told we could Be reimbursed by UHaul , I believe we just got taken . Scott and Jodi Deaton

annel gThis is a long one, BE CAUTIOUS USING THIS LOCTION! UTILIZE THE SELF RETURN OPTION ON THE UHAUL APP, as I learned this the hard way. I returned to U-Haul suggested location. due to it being late. I dropped off Saturday at 9pm. I went inside and requested a return confirmation receipt 3 times and was told they can't provide any receipt. The next Thursday morning I received a certified letter from U-Haul stating that the equipment wasn't returned and considered stolen. I contacted U-Haul and they contacted the location and the general manager of the location. Both stated the equipment was not there and was never returned there. U-Haul directed me to call the police and report it stolen. I chose to return to the location and investigate myself. I drove straight to the yard and the equipment I returned was still in there in the same spot I dropped it at. I took pictures and proceeded to speak with the location manager. I showed him the letter I received and was told repeatedly that he did nothing wrong, and the equipment was not onsite. I explained I just verified the equipment was onsite and my next step was to request police presence as directed by U-Haul earlier. He called his U-Haul manager to explain to me on speaker phone that the equipment was not onsite and there was nothing they could do for me. When I explained to the U-Haul manager that I have pictures of the equipment with time stamp at the location and the only option at that point was to call the police, He directed the location manager to look at their yard (which had only 5 pieces of equipment). The location manager returned and stated that the equipment was onsite. He picked up a handheld device and proceeded to update their system to show returned. In 1 minute, I had received an email return receipt from U-Haul. The locations manager choice to not update their system when I returned the equipment and decision to not check their yard cost me 5 hours of my time and deep frustration. U-Haul is aware of this situation and has not reached out to me yet to date.
Don HI rented a truck for 2 hours at 9pm and let the rep know I was dropping off the truck same night in Wesley Chapel, FL and was told we could drop off anywhere only to be charged a $210 wrong drop off fee. I should not be charged the fee and I am going to dispute this. Totally misleading and unacceptable!!

JOSE OEveryone I dealt with on both ends of the trip was above and beyond expectations. Courteous, efficient and expedient. Thank you very much. The pickup location is a small grocery, vape and paraphernalia store that treated me well and hooked up the trailer, but I still ended up going to a larger U-Haul center just a couple of miles away because I needed to adjust my hitch. The gentleman that helped me there was fantastic and even helped fix my hitch while he was getting rained on.

don bAttendant didn't know how trailer hooks up to hitch. He told us someone comes out once a month to inspect the equipment he has on hand. So there must be equipment going that isn't inspected. The Tampa gandy Blvd location informed us they don't inspect returned equipment.

ALEXIS NNot until they are completely up and running. It took 45 mins to check in and get the U-Haul. I had to give my information over the phone to someone I couldn’t verify and I was uncomfortable with that.
Shakoya AHad tried for days to get uhaul to address my repeated calls that I returned it to the address on the 30th. The uhaul app was not working, I took pictures and called the help number twice while at the location. Numerous calls to have my receipt sent to me. Told Numerous times that they would have to have a manager help me. Never heard from one. Only after receiving a recovery email did I get some help. I guess they found the manager somewhere. You want to look into a new area manager.
DONALD HI got charged for dollys that wasn’t in the truck and the online checked in is ridiculous. They gave me the wrong truck number which resulted us not being able to unlock the door and it took 45 mins to get the truck situated for this reason. Not very happy with the service at all.
