There was a group of homeless men smoking fent and defecating on the sidewalk directly next to the truck. The trucks were all heavily graffitied. The employee at Mail Etc had me grab the moving equipment I rented myself and drag it all down to the block to the crosswalk (where I was harassed by more high homeless men), across the street, and back up the block to throw it all in the back of the truck myself. She also gave me extremely unclear instructions for the key return, and I tried to get assistance for 30 minutes before giving up and locking the keys under the driver's seat. The locking mechanism on the back of the truck was in disrepair and took a TON of effort to get secure. The app kept bugging out and was completely unhelpful. I spoke with four different customer service reps who were all unhelpful at best or horribly rude and mocking at worst. I will NEVER be renting a u-haul again, and I will make sure no one I know does, either.

TRAVIS WStaff was awesome, but truck was filthy. It thankfully didn't turn out to be an issue, but it was also strange that there was no way to submit a record of the condition of the equipment. I took pictures before leaving with the truck, but if I had been challenged, it might have been hard to prove when I took them. I would still use this location again because of the friendly staff and convenient locale.

Joshua BNot the fault of the location, but the first truck I tried to rent had been vandalized - the location owner really did a lot of extra work with U Haul and got me a replacement truck in less than 30 minutes and I was on my way! Great job handling that.

MELINDA PThe UHaul was easy to pick up but the gas was under a 1/4 tank and dirty. The staff was friendly upon arrival but when I dropped off the next day she was rude, short and unkind. She asked me for the mileage and a picture of it on my phone as though I immediately knew it was expected of me. I then told her that although I rented 12 blankets, some of them accidentally were wrapped around furniture and placed in the back of my POD for storage for two weeks and that I would return them promptly. Instead of being kind and talking me through the process of my honest mistake, she rolled her eyes at me and said she needed to call UHaul. I understood I could be charged, but in a situation like that I would expect her to talk to me about it kindly and explain to me kindly that it's UHaul's policy to pay for these blankets, period. It was $76 I wasn't expecting to pay, but I understood, I was just upset at her delivery and lack of customer service.

SAMUEL MBusiness location smelled terrible the first time I came in but it wasn't so bad when I returned the vehicle. Front passenger door of van did not open from the inside.
CHARLES SWonderful host at pick up, but the truck was covered in graffiti and mud in the footwells. The tank was empty and it was an old and pretty terrible vehicle. When I was sent across the street to collect the truck I had to ask one unhoused person to move away from looking in the wing mirror and had to wait 5-8 minutes to remove two other people shooting fentanyl from the rear of the truck. This is more of a reflection of the state of parts of Seattle, but even so. I would not want my son or daughter collecting a car from here.

NOEL BVan was rented with damaged sliding door! As an antique dealer this is the fourth Van from a Seattle uhaul dealer that was rented damaged. I expect a credit on my visa. Safety first

Ivan WTruck was broken and filthy. I feel bad saying this because the woman who works there is really nice and I’m sure it’s because people try to break into the trucks every night. Not her fault, but the truck was in terrible condition. The keyhole and door were broken, there was a dent where someone had tried to pry the window open, there were dents on every other part of the truck, almost all the plastic interior parts were broken, and there was no lock on the truck. It was covered in graffiti. Really, I feel bad saying this because the people who work there seem like they’re honest and doing their best. But it would have been unsafe if I needed to lock the back or if I needed to exit the cab quickly in an emergency.

Chad BThis was the second time I rented from this location this week and the van I was issued was far superior to the one I had for my first rental. The service was excellent both times but the condition of the van I used during the first rental was less than satisfactory.
