My U-Haul rental experience was an absolute disaster from start to finish. I arrived 15 minutes early for my reservation, only to find myself waiting an hour past my scheduled pickup time to finally leave with the truck. The ordeal began with the first employee at the "convenience" store informing me that I had to wait for the manager, who was expected to arrive 30 minutes after my scheduled pickup. Once the manager finally showed up, it became clear that neither he nor the other employee knew how to mark the truck as returned from the previous renter. After nearly 45 minutes of confusion and frustration, another individual finally stepped in and had me checked out in 10 minutes—a stark contrast to the disorganized chaos I had endured. To make matters worse, the store itself was sketchy, and the truck reeked of cigarette smoke, making an already stressful experience even more unpleasant. The worst part? I was renting the truck to pick up furniture I had already purchased. Because I was so late, the seller assumed I wasn’t coming and sold the items to someone else. This left me scrambling to find alternative furniture while I still had the truck. U-Haul needs to reevaluate its partnerships with locations like this and ensure that employees are properly trained. This experience has made me seriously reconsider using U-Haul in the future.

Trailer had a flat tire when I went to be pick it up, also the wiring for the lights didn’t work and I had to repair them. The tire was repaired before I left the pickup location.
