I was re-routed to this location to assure the equipment I requested would be available (which was a 40 minute drive one way, back up a large stretch of 6% grade, thanks for making purchase the extra 8 gallons of fuel). Went through the confirmation process and showed up on time to pick up my equipment--no attendants were present, and I had no self-rental instruction in my uHaul App. There just happened to be someone on the premises who was working on his personal vehicle, he saw me and another customer (who had been waiting a full hour already) and attempted to call the person who was in charge. When that individual arrived he looked like he had clearly just woken up (it was 3pm now) and stated that he's closed today. He eventually got myself and and the other customer going, and was actually quite friendly about it. However, he had a lot of trouble with the computer system. Eventually he handed me some keys and I went to check on the truck. There was junk in there from the last person, and it smelled like someone had used the truck to haul cattle. He exchanged me some keys without hesitation, just some more fumbling on the computer, but he got it done. The next truck was in great condition both the box and cab, and had 0 problems after that.

Duane AU-haul computer rental program is to complex. The last time I rented thru U-Haul all rental agreements were done on paper forms and went a lot easier.

I had made these reservations weeks before the pickup and when we went to pick up at 9:00 am we were told the computers where not working correctly and it took over 45 minutes to get the truck. was also not told that they change 35.00 for safe travel was only quoted the 171.00.
