Our reservation pick-up was at a 'neighborhood' pick-up location. We reserved a 20 foot truck, 48 pads and 2 appliance and 1 utility dolly. This was the first time the attendent had handled a U-Haul transaction so she had to solicit the help of a U-Haul employee via Facetime (thank goodness)! They didn't have all the pads and and the other items were 'somewhere in the back'. My husband had to load those items into the truck. We did get additional miles and a few extra days with the truck for the inconvenience. The truck was fairly clean, however, everytime we went more than 59 MPH, there was a horrendous noise coming from the dash. It sounded like a bazooka horn you hear on NY Eve. We dealt with this for our entire trip, which was 1000 miles! NEVER again. Who checks and maintains these vehicles? NEVER again!!
Donna COutstanding customer service. The clerk at the rental location was alone and barely spoke English. Despite this she worked very hard to make my rental transaction. It is rare these days to find employees who truly care and are willing to make the extra effort. I was a bit frustrated, but my frustration was more than offset by my admiration of the young clerk's effort. Well done!

Hannelore MThe attendant seemed the U-Haul side was secondary to their deli and convient store operation. Nobody came from behind the counter to assist with the trailer hitching to my vehicle, even thou there were two behind the counter, not to mention a few more employees working in an attached vehicle repair building. Attendant simply pointer the the trailer and said your all set. I asked “so I just hook it up myself and go?” He said “ yes your all set”. Emmidietly I seen there was no dolly crank so I waited a while for someone to come out.I tested the lift, it seemed a struggle but I was able to do it. The trailer performed well except for one side light that seemed to be off more than it was on. It just seemed odd I had to manually lift the trailer tong off the ground and no attendant made sure all was good before I left. I’m a 68 year old retired man with a few medical conditions. This experience made me feel U-Haul trailer rentals were for a younger group. This is why I would not recommend this location to persons of my age. I really don’t reply to these surveys but after returning the trailer to anouther location, it would seem the issue is just this location and not U-Haul as a whole.

Dennis CTrailer was pushed against the fence. It took two people to lift it on to the hitch. This facility only had one person to attend the store gas pumps answer the phone. Trailer had a light issue and I was told take it or cancel we don't have anyone to fix it.

Wayne DI’ve rented from U-Haul before, this was my second experience. The equipment functioned perfectly, as it did on both rental occasions I experienced. On the other hand, the actual logistics of dealing with U-Haul(setting up and guaranteeing that the rental would actually be available) seemed to be iffy at best. The communication within your company appears to be significantly less than optimal and needs improvement. You need to guarantee your customers that the equipment they need will be on site for the reserved day of rental, we’re trying to get stuff done! The person most helpful in this at this location was Jose’…no one else seemed to really care. Your management never seems to be available or on hand. The common excuse is that they are new, non existent, or “away in training for the week”🙄. You need to put a stop to all that. In the end, due to efforts on my part, and because Jose’ was on the ball, my rental day went well. For that I am grateful, thank you.(you should give Jose’ a bonus…because he cared and did the right thing)
