What part of guaranteed reservation do you not understand. I originally reserved a 17 foot truck at another location only to be told last minute UHaul decided to change my reservation to a 20 foot truck 15 miles away which is too far. I ended up having to settle for a smaller truck with no compensation for failing to honor my "guaranteed" reservation. A guaranteed reservation is exactly that. When a specific size truck is reserved at a specific location and that reservation is guaranteed, then that means if you have to transfer a truck from another location that is what you do. You do not put the onus on the customer to be forced to accept a different size truck from a different location. Apparently the word "guaranteed" does not mean what you think it means. Fucking communicate between locations because I was almost charged an extra 200$ because I wanted to get a tow dolly at a different location from the truck then when I got there they told me there wasn't one there and I then was told to go to another location by customer support and there wasn't one there either so I gave up after I was told to go to another place that didn't have an actual fucking address. Then no one was fucking there at the drop off place and no one answered the phone.Ryan W.
Store employee stated the U-Haul person wasn't there and wouldn't be back until the following day so the keys would just sit there until they arrived. We went through the check out process ourselves online to not take that risk.Nicholas J.
The cabinet of the U Haul was FIFTHLY?????? NO COVID-19 requirements met?? I was beyond disappointment. My driver had to do a thorough disinfecting. Tons of wipes used until only a seeing a faint amount of soil. My next step is to post this online and I expect a total refund of $124????????Rustavius F.

I would recommend to any customer wanting to move to go with Penske rental instead. Information flow is seriously lacking between uhaul and customer as well as between uhaul and location managers. We spent 45 minutes on hold just waiting to talk to a uhaul customer service manager. Over 3 hours wasted trying to deal with issues caused by lack of proper communication.Jason B.

The truck was in poor condition, rough transmission, dirty from the last renter, and the desk agent was a jerk. I ordered a dolly, and when I got there, he told me "we don't have one". How do you NOT have a dolly that I ordered? If you don't have one, it's your job to get one and have it ready for me!! On moving day, this is not the crap customers want to hear. He didn't even TRY to help by contacting another location. What a miserable experience.Philip A.
The truck I got smelled like cigarettes I also ordered blankets that I did not receive then you guys wanted extra money and I had to go to a different location then when I got there this guy tried to charge me more money. This comment is about Uhual service overall and not about a specific location. I booked a truck at a location which showed available. When I arrived at that location I was told my pick up location was moved 15 miles away and was changed to 1.5 hours later. Uhual did not inform me of that moved location in advance and the delay in time also meant the movers (and us) are waiting around. 30 minutes prior to the new scheduled time the location opened so I went in and asked to make sure the truck was here since I did not see it. The truck was supposed to be returned 30 minutes before my pick up. The incredible woman (Ann) at this location was amazing in helping us and called the other person who had the truck. Turns out he was going to be 5 hours late so that didn't work for us. Ann called a dozen locations trying to find us something nearby and finally did but it was another 15 miles away in the opposite direction we needed to go. So after 3 hours of hassle (with my wife and 3month old son waiting) we finally got a truck rented to use.James M.

Strongly suggest that your website have a very "PRONOUNCED" indication that a confirmation on a reservation "DOES NOT GUARANTEE" that the vehicle you have reserved is at the location you chose. This should also be reiterated in every communication to a customer, by voice phone call, text and email. During my recent rental I had to travel 24 miles (12 x 2 - roundtrip) to retreive the rental unit. Had I known that I would incure cost for the mileage in excess of what I needed (about 16 miles total) - I would have rented from another vendor. Very dissatisifed with the latest rental from UHaul and will now only rent from you as the very last option.Gerald C.

The man behind the counter could not figure out the gas gauge setting. I returned the truck with over the amount that I started with and he could not put the level in right and wanted to charge me for gas. Second I returned the truck on Tuesday afternoon and again he said I was late returning as the contract said return by 11:00AM. I informed him that it was Tuesday when I was returning it and I had until Wednesday July 18, 2018 before 11:00AM to return the truck as clearly printed on my contract. I also told him about 2 problems with the truck. I wanted to show him the problems but he could not be bothered to go with me to see the problems. Therefore they might ever be corrected. First problem was the passenger door was hard to close where it would close completely. Second was that the ignition switch was hanging up so that it cause the radio not to turn on, but worst yet the vehicle could not be a taken out of park to place it into drive. You had to jiggle it back to off but not so far as to shut off vehicle. Also the switch mechanism was hard to return to the off position. There was binding in the mechanism.charles A.

I had a horrible experience with U-Haul. They canceled my first truck without telling me. I didn't find out until the evening before I was supposed to pick the truck up at 9am. The girl I spoke with first hung up on me when I was trying to find out what was going on. Then I had a girl argue with me about wanting to speak with a manager, she just wouldn't transfer me to one so I hung up on her after 15 minutes of arguing. The next person put me on hold for 20 minutes and no one ever came on the line. Then finally I got to a manager and had to be on the phone for an hour while he finally found me a truck. He was very nice. The location I had to get my truck was way out of the area I was moving to. The manager recommended that I speak to someone in another part of the customer service team to let them know what had happened. He transferred me and I sat on hold for like 15 minutes. The person picked up the phone and immediately hung up. I called back and again sat on hold for 15 minutes then someone answered and it sounded like they were in a bathroom, and yes they immediately hung up the phone. The whole process was terrible and I will not use this company again. It was the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. How do you cancel someone's truck without telling them? It was absolutely ridiculous everything I had to deal with. They really need to do some serious firing and retraining of their agents. Truly absurd! Done with U-Haul!Miles J.

Before I left with the truck, I was told the fuel tank was full and I would have to fill it back up before I returned, or I would get hit with a $30 admin. fee and $3.30 per gallon cost to get it to full. I signed because I understood. Then I drove the truck 44 miles and returned it. When I returned the uhaul and filled up the tank, it took a little over 11 galloons. It is difficult for me to believe those trucks get 4 mpg. It is my belief that I put in way more than I should have, just to try avoiding paying a ridiculous fee. I feel like I got ripped off for about $15. That is why I will not recommend anyone go to this facility. There is a difference between filling up the tank to the fuel gage line and filling it up all the way. This should be more clearly defined.KEVIN K.

Entire experience was terrible. Uhaul location at a gas station is probably not ideal. I had put the reservation into the uhaul system in advance and reserved the truck with all the details they need for a fast pick up. Between convenience store customers buying lottery tickets and cigarettes, it was over an hour to complete the pick up. Store clerk had no clue what to do, and finally made me do the data entry on his laptop while I was on the phone with store manager. Drop off was the same, the clerk had no a clue what to do. I wrote down all the info on the back of a used lottery ticket and hoped for the best. Truck was filthy, full of dirt and papers which I had to clean. On a good note - the truck ran fine and no problems with anything mechanical.ED A.
