It wasn't even my original location to obtain, but changing last second with no equipment is poor. I'm using another company besides U-Haul in the future

The truck back door was knowingly broken (the cable that allows the door to easily open and close was snapped and hanging), and never should have been rented out. I asked the man who rented it to me if it should be rented out because it was only myself and one other female loading and unloading the truck. And he said it “should be fine”. It was not fine. The door was a nightmare to open and close. It became stuck, then would not lock, and we wasted about a half hour trying to get the door down and secured. When I called the rental place, the same man told me to “find someone stronger to close it” - I reminded him that I informed him that only two females were available to load and unload the truck, and he suggested calling roadside service and telling them it just snapped. I told him I was not lying to roadside assistance just because he knew he never should have rented out the truck. I ended up contacting U-Haul who sent out roadside assistance, which was appreciated but we still lost another hour or so of time while we waited for it to be fixed. The man who came to fix the truck was very nice and professional, and he states that the truck never should have been rented out on the condition it was in. Additionally, the key was repeatedly getting stuck in the ignition and I had to fight with it each time to remove the key The whole experience was incredibly stressful - I was already moving and doing so on borrowed time.

TSHIANDA A724 broadway 15136. First I wanted for 15 minutes before the guy came back into the building before I could get service. Then waited another 15 minutes after check out because there was some random guy that had the keys. The Uhaul was very unprofessional!! So as I pulled out the lot and went down the street, drove for 3 minutes the truck broke down and longer allowed me to drive or reverse. I waited in 95 degree weather for roadside assistance and he worked on the car for 4 hours. DO NOT RENT
BOBBI MNo gas in truck. Had to put gas in it just taking it off lot. Then they tried charging me for a quarter tank. Left an eighth of a tank in it when we returned it and did not get credit for it. Mirror was broken on passenger side.communication was poorCommunication was not clear
GLADYS DThis facility is hardly more then an supplementary business shoe-horned into a Pawn Shop. My pickup was moved here after a phone call from a Uhaul representative who did not offer me an alternative option. During pickup I was asked to move a vehicle which was blocking the truck I was attempting to rent. I was reluctant to do this due to liability but was asked repeatedly. Location is cluttered and the gentleman assisting me did not seem to understand that I had already completed check-in online and asked me all the same questions again. There are many Uhaul facilities in Pittsburgh, there is no need for this one.
Ethan GThe neighborhood and store were a mess, did not feel safe. I only went here because they had a furniture dolly and they did not. They were not helpful and seemed that they were put out by having to wait on us. I wanted to get out of the neighborhood as fast as possible and hen I revied the pictures from the text. the pictures were not at the same location. I was in an ally and the pictures were inside a storage facility. Extremely disappointed
AMY PThey overcharged me way to much
KENNETH CNothing much.
Mesgina kThere was no disclosure that this establishment did not take cash. Luckily the lady was nice enough to accept cash from me as that’s all I had. But she asked for $20 extra as I’d say collateral. I was given the $20 back when returned. The worst part of it all was, the uhaul was left on E, I was expected to put gas in it to move myself and then replace the gas I used. I understand the person before me probably left it on E but shouldn’t the uhaul establishment put gas in it for the next user? That was odd to be.
Ericka CThe gentleman inflicted the cost just to over charge me
