The U-Haul vehicle was covered with ice when I picked it up. The attendant didn’t have an ice scraper and when I asked for one he literally didn’t know what an ice scraper was or did. Then he told me I was expected to return all blankets folded as if he wasn’t going to do anything. When I returned the vehicle he was unwilling to come out of his area to assist me in checking it in. I won’t be back. The guy was lazy and uninterested in providing any level of customer service.

It was hard enough to understand her English without someone else talking at the same time. Just very unprofessional. The only reason I used this location is that the truck I needed wasn't available at the Stow location, which I used many times, and have always been quite satisfied.

Gregory SThe location for the pick up phone did not answer, 3 days prior, for my attempt to confirm and change the schedule for pick up/drop off times. The call went into voicemail, however, the message said the mailbox is full! I phoned the 800 #, and pressed the button option for a return call. I did not receive one! My husband went to the location, the next day, to ask the representative at the counter for the information. The worker told him that if the truck to be returned would be back early, the night before, he would phone by 7:30. Since he didn’t call, I phoned the 800 number at 8:00. They said the local location closed at 5:00.

Louisson cI am quite upset to learn my bill includes a $25.00 charge for an item of insurance (Safe) I never asked for nor approved, I have my own insurance and would have had no need. I hope this was a clerical error because it could be misconstrued as a scam and would need notification to the Better Business Bureau. Whereas it might have been a clerical error I expect a credit ASAP.

Katharine BTruck was trapped behind another truck which slowed me down a bit. Attendant (very sweet) could not explain why my preferred drop off site was not available. Truck had a very clunky automatic transmission which seemed to downshift too easily and upshift too slowly. Had to manually switch gears a couple of times.

David WI was initially happy with the rental experience until I reviewed the final invoice and saw unexpected markups. It appears I was charged a $30 “Fuel Service Fee” for returning the truck with less than ¼ tank — even though the truck had less than ¼ tank when I picked it up. Before returning the truck, I specifically asked the attendant whether I needed to add fuel to avoid any extra fees (beyond the cost of the fuel itself). She assured me that no additional fees would be charged. We were literally at a gas station, so I would have gladly added fuel had I been informed otherwise. This feels misleading. I expected to pay for fuel at a marked‑up rate if needed — but not an additional $30 service fee that wasn’t clearly explained, especially after being told by staff that no such charge would apply. I had planned to leave a 5‑star review, but this experience left me feeling that the pricing and communication were not transparent. U‑Haul should ensure staff provide accurate information and make all fees clear upfront.

Edward MMobile pickup is pointless at this location. Still have to interact with an employee who stands and watches you as you do the first mobile pickup steps, then doesn’t understand what’s supposed to be happening and makes the experience take way longer. I repeatedly had to show the instructions on my phone while she argued with me about what was supposed to happen, directly contradicting the U-Haul instructions in the app. Super frustrating and uncomfortable. There are other locations nearby for U-Haul pickup so I will never use this location again and would warn others to avoid.

yining wMy reservation was unexpectedly changed from my expected pickup location at 117 Great Rd in Stow to this location. An email was sent saying "my reservation was updated", but I did not read it carefully to see that the pickup location had been changed, so I first went to the original requested location to pick up the rental. They had no record of the rental, and I had to check my email again to figure out what happened, which was not a great experience. The location at 1 Powder Mill Rd was fine, but while I can understand that it may sometimes be necessary to change the pickup location, I think the email sent when this happens should more clearly note that the location has changed, probably in the subject line of the email message.

JONATHAN EIt seemed like an ok experience initially, but my receipt emailed after I returned the truck and guy said I could go without raising any issues claimed that I caused damage to the truck, which is absolutely not true. I had no accidents, no damage, just drove it 10 miles and moved a desk in under two hours. I am hoping that this is a mistaken filing. If not, it is fraud and someone is trying to get money for a previous or invented issue.

We had a problem with the truck we got and we tried to go back so it could be fixed or we could trade trucks, and the person had left, two hours early. When we called the number he had left, he said he wouldn’t be returning for the rest of the day. This location is poorly run and does not offer good customer service.

Truck was parked in snow and my shoes were complete wet. I was not able to collect truck in the evening because of that and came next day early morning.

Fraher K1. After Rental completion In Mileage 242 is correct but Out Milage 83 is wrong as U-Haul is used only for approximately 34 Miles so Out Mileage must be approximately 205+. I have called and informed the Maynard U Haul office to correct the same 2. I dropped vehicle at 7:55 PM but no body was there to receive it although closing time was 8 pm for the center 3. I used Vehicle for 3 hours from 5:12 PM to 8 PM and charges must be for 3 Hours but i have been charged for 1 day rental of 99$ which must be corrected. I have informed it to Maynard office even before getting final receipt but still wrongly charged
