This place is a joke. I walk in to return my rental at this location where there is absolutely no cell service. When I walk in, there is a digital machine that activates a live “customer service” representative remotely. I told this individual I had a drop off and they informed me they knew nothing about it and stated “You will have to call U-Haul because I can’t see it”. I insisted there must be a mistake as I had an agreement and this location was correct. (You would not drive to Saphire,NC by mistake). She seemed uninterested in helping me and had a NOT MY PROBLEM attitude. So after connecting to some Wi-Fi so I can make a call on top of the mountain, the U-Haul customer service representative informed me that this was absolutely WRONG. This woman is a representative of U-Haul and she was supposed to assist me. So I was told to park the truck, and find the key drop off box. Next issue: After wandering around on the line with the customer service representative looking for the key box and finally finding it, the key would not fit through the slit on the box. The plastic on the base of the key was broken when I got it (probably from someone else having a similar issue). So after wasting a great deal of time already during a process that was supposed to be streamlined via technology, I am told to walk in, and leave the key inside (By the U-haul rep). I walk in and the screen lights up again (this time with a completely different Midgard remote rep). I tell what I have been told to do by U-haul and he tries to pull me back in (and waste more of my time) after doing what their first rep told me to do (contact U-Haul). So the last slap is this: The apologetic U-Haul customer service representative told me she would “Waive the extra day charges” for my inconveniences, but she didn’t. My card was hit for an additional $141. I was in disbelief as she offered this to me but did not see it through. Very bad experience from start to finish.

If you have to check in with your phone at the location, the internet does not connect, so you can't.
RALPH SThe cell service and WiFi at this location is not good. With the location being non-manned it is difficult to check in and check out. The virtual assistant was helpful. The WiFi signal in the office was good but at the trucks was non- existent. Please get better WiFi service at the truck parking location.
JOHN TThe concept of virtual assistant is great, but the cell service in the area is inadequate for this type of data transfer. The first virtual rep tried to get me what I needed, but as soon as I walked outside to submit the pictures and use the virtual app I lost service. She explained that the business did offer free wifi which was great when I was inside, as soon as I walked outside I had no service. I went back in and the next virtual assistance explained that it was no problem and that that site was notorious for not being able to use the app for turn ins. He said I was good to go and that the return was completed. Very frustrating to say the least.

Philip LDon’t waste time reserving online. Have to go through same steps when you arrive to pick up vehicle. Big process and system disconnect. Have plenty of extra time when you arrive. Checkout takes 20-30 min. Staff does not know how to use systems.

Martin GYour online reservation process needs review. If you approve my drop off location when I make my reservation, it is not fair for you to change the location AFTER I pick up my van/trailer. I don’t care about your excuses of why it changed. I would not have reserved with you if I had known this.
