The virtual rental process was not effective. Due to the App issues (internet access was good), it took over 30 minutes to complete the rental process. All promo indicates a smooth, seamless process. On the return of the vehicle, it took over 15 minutes to complete the process due to App issues. While the vehicle was exactly what I needed, the lack of customer service and App experience was not acceptable. When I require UHaul equipment in the future, I will seek a person staffed location not virtual only.

Had to get another truck cause the window visor was broken. The new uhaul they gave me, same thing. Broken window visors, dirty inside and out. The drop off was very confusing, the management told me one way to drop off and the app gave me a different way. Tried to reach out to get help, was so confused and lost, not a great experience.

This was a horrible experience. I went to pick up my truck at 10am on Saturday morning. The prior renter didn't bring it back. I was able to speak with a representative and she was able to locate me a 26 at a different location. I called an hour before i was going to pick it up and the truck was getting roadside assistance and wasn't going to be there at 1pm. Another representative was able to find me a 20 foot truck. I was able to go get that truck and use it. This costs me time and extra money for my movers. It also cost me more miles due to the location. I was supposed to get 50 dollars off and a 29/day rental fee. Neither of these happened. Please have someone reach back out to me so we can work this out. Very dissappointed

I think the location was actually nice. However, the nationwide POS system was out so my credit card information could not be approved. This created a ton of problems and it took me about an hour to get checked out. Because of the Virtual Agent approach being used this was even more complicated because some things needed to be done physically or required local knowledge (wrong truck dispatched and did not match keys in box). Also, the usability of the app is not great. I think it has been improved recently but still clunky and hard to use.

There was pre-existing damage to the Mom's kitchen area, the tank was half-full, the experience of checking in was terrible, and the experience upon returning the truck was also terrible. I've used Uhaul many many times over the years, and have 2 upcoming reservations, and this was the worst experience I've ever had with the brand.

Everything was great except the total automation. Also..AFTER you accepted my govt. issued I.d. and my picture you STILL needed two contacts. That's bullshit and a waste of time. Not to mention. The automated return process. I will NOT be renting from u-haul again.

The truck was fine, but we had a pick up prior to the storage facility opening. The app was not easy to use and the directions were unclear causing delays with the movers we had hired. Additionally, the delay was even longer as the equipment that I rented was not on the truck and I had to go to an alternate location and make a new rental purchase. Luckily they had the equipment. I can't say it was an overall easy experience - it was actually full of stress and frustration.

Hated the online check in. It took 45 minutes and finally had to be resolved by calling a customer service rep. Don't care for the virtual checkin and the virtual checkout. Had problems as well checking the equipment in. I have a degree in computer science and 30 years experience in IT so I feel qualified to say your app needs a lot of work before I would turn it loose on my customers. I won't be back to Midguard for my U-haul needs.

Pros: -I was able to keep my car there while I moved to my new place -truck was there and ready Cons: -process took way too long (over 30 min) due to all the requirements needed before taking the truck -no heads up on what was needed before taking the truck; if so, I would’ve had the info and documents ready for a smoother process. So much for a “quick and easy” process that they advertised. -customer service agent that called me (I believe her name was Sherry) was very rude and unhelpful -the type of dolly I reserved was not available, even though the reservation indicated that it would be -the worker onsite would come and go; I wasn’t able to find him when I needed his assistance -so many fees attached to the rental; I don’t recall having to pay for gas before with U Haul. Advertisement was false when it said “only 19.95 plus 79 cents/mile”. No mention of paying for gas on top of miles driven. Not using U Haul, let alone this location, in the future.

The digital experience is overwhelming and the location was difficult to maneuver. I would like to have someone there to work with. While the digital Person was kind it took over 30 minutes to get off campus. I will never go to this location again.

The self-service system at the location where I picked up the car was terrible. It took 1.5 hours and three video call specialists to help me resolve the issue. The same situation occurred when returning the car. I lost a lot of time. Additionally, the car was in terrible condition. The wiring was constantly malfunctioning, and the cabin light would stay on during rain. During the day, all the interior lighting would turn off.

The app is very hard to use for the first time. I made a reservation over the phone, but I was not able to use that number in the app or pull my phone # at the kiosk. I had to use the virtual assistant. When it was time to return the van another customer was there and they got frustrated and walked off. I had to email my cc to virtual person to buy tape ! Come on. Improvements QR code outside the building Steps and pictures Text or email lock code Able scan items and pay with cc on file.

The customer service at midgard is an embarrassment for U-Haul ... this was arguably the worst customer service experience I've ever had in my life the virtual attendant was named Tristan and was rude and obnoxious.. I know there is nothing that you all can do to affect the performance of their suppliers, but this was just horrible

Get rid of the virtual technology crap! I spent 30 minutes setting up the reinstall of the app and the profile which did not work The second virtual assistant had to be contacted.... and waited 10 minutes before coming on line. If a person behind the counter could have resolved the situation in 5 minutes!!!

The truck drove really rough and bumpy and the uhaul drop off was a nightmare due to other trucks being dropped off and blocking the gate. The only positive thing I will say is the Employee Harry was really kind.

Pick up location was very well managed, considering tight parking issues with equipment. My van was clean, however tech needs to check EVAP system (OBDII port) and ID the code to resolve the "check gas cap" message on dash. Van ran well, brakes were good, steering in alignment although steering wheel off center about 10 degrees to left, all lights and signals worked great. Most likely a simple rubber hose in EVAP system is cracked and or leaking causing code on dash. Otherwise a great rental and look forward to doing more business with Uhaul. Appreciate everyone's hard work.

Honestly I can't think of anything the team at Midgard could do to make the experience better. It was excellent. I've had terrible experiences with other Uhaul locations in the past and seriously considered other rental companies for this move based on that, but Midgard has restored my faith in Uhaul.

I tried the check-in process using the U-Haul app, but found the app to be cumbersome and time consuming. Ultimately I went into the office and got help from the attendant. The app is a good idea, but I didn't find it very user-friendly or convenient.

The truck given to me had very less fuel in it. I was not sure if I could have used the truck for shifting because of less fuel.I had to pump the fuel when I picked up and also pay for miles driven at end.

I was charged an incorrect amount. Much more than what the online quote was. When I tried to call customer service I was informed that there was nothing they could do until the rental was returned. the agents that I spoke to were not helpful at all. not sympathetic, or even offering to note the account, so that when I did return the rentals the agents knew what was going on. The other issue was when I looked online at my reservation number after I picked up my rental. It belonged to someone else. Had the same pickup location, but different dates, different drop-off points, etc. I would appreciate a call back so this can be rectified and so that I am charged the correct amount that I was quoted.

It took 8 minutes for the mobile app to approve my rental. I sent several messages to the agent with zero replies. The process says to find the vehicle first. It’s behind the locked gate. Then you’re supposed to get your key, so you have to leave the locked gate…this is backwards. I was lucky I remembered to code to get back in the locked area. Upon return, it says park the vehicle, but where? Where I found it behind the locked gate? Nope, no code to open the gate. Luckily, the guy who works there was very helpful.

Interior of cargo area needed to be swept out. Cab was comfortable, but nothing on the dashboard worked (clock, radio, etc.) Glad I didn't have to drive it long distances.

I had already explained that I wanted to rent a medium-sized 2-wheel trailer for moving. Who knew when the trailer was given to me, it was an unenclosed trailer that could pull outdoor farm equipment or trees. I said that it would not work if it was going to rain, but I was given a trailer. The smallest enclosed trailer! A home that could have been moved in one day using a medium-sized trailer ended up taking 3 days because one piece of some large-sized furniture could not be loaded with other furniture! I had to go back and forth between the two homes 7.8 times! I have already stated that the small trailer will not work. And I also saw where two trailers of the exact type I needed were parked in the parking lot! But give me this smallest trailer! I really don't understand why?
