My pickup location was changed to this location farther away. The gas station attendant at this location was very pleasant and as helpful as she could be. She told me that no U-Haul employee was on site, even though someone was supposed to be there at my pickup time, which was scheduled nearly a week in advance. I was told to finish my pickup in the app and she had the keys. This was not possible because my reservation was set up for a counter pickup. Since no one could help me at the location, I used chat customer service on 3 different occasions. They were super helpful and effective. After close to an hour, I was able to get the keys to the truck. Entirely too long in my opinion, and from past experience with U-Haul.At this time, I realized that the pads I requested were not in the truck, and not available at the location. A moving dolly was also on my order, maybe an accidental selection by me, but also not available. An additional chat quickly got me a refund on these items, but I was forced to find other protection for my items. The truck was brand new and very clean. Then I had to pay for additional mileage which was not my fault, but rather because the pickup location was further away than I had anticipated. Overall, the experience was very frustrating, but the people who helped me in the chat were very helpful. And I guess I don’t understand the reason for changing my pickup location from a real life U-Haul location to a smaller less equipped location when I drove by my original location to get to the second location and saw trucks on the lot.

The attendant at the gas station did not know the process and had trouble reaching the u-haul contact person over the phone delaying our time to get our move started.

Everytime I’m given a gas station location the worker doesn’t know the process to allow me to check out the uhaul. This time, we waiting 35 min past the time of the start of our rental and ended up on the phone with someone else who worked at the gas station to actually finish the process. This happened the last time too.

The guy(I wish I knew his name) at Midwest Petro was very good at checking me in for the truck. He was very knowledgeable with the checkin process which went smoothly.

I had spoken to the Manager about dropping the truck off after the 24hr agreement. He said take your time I wouldn't be charged an extra day. They overcharged me an extra day. I also filled the gas tank and they got that wrong but didn't charge me extra. I replied to the email receipt and asked them to correct the overcharge. No reply yet.

Rental agent was not present onsite. The counter person didn't even speak English! We were forced to complete the rental by cell phone!. There was absolutely no way you could review the contract. I was driving for a blind friend who was paying for the rental. I will never rent from U Haul again if it is by phone!!! After giving the debit card information 3 times as each time the agent said the transaction didn't go through, I used one of my credit cards to complete the transaction. We were under a very tight schedule and had to leave that day. With the transaction complete as we were getting in the truck my friends sister called and said their bank had an automatic withdrawal for the rental. DOUBLE BILLING. We were able to get the bank to stop the payment and the theft. Your company is only as good as your last agent.
