The vehicle was very dirty inside, but did the job. And the man who assisted was very nice.

Hour of pick up was incorrect, no communication for where too pick up until DAY OF at 113pm, Store CLOSED with no communication upon pick up, Employees *who were amazing at customer service* had no idea what to tell me and I had to wait on hold for about 25 mins, only to find out the store was not supposed to be closed and someone would be there "in 10 mins" 30 mins later someone arrived, They changed my reservation, and I was overcharged, The truck and property where deplorable, there was white powered substance ALL OVER the inside of the truck, dirt EVERYWHERE animal hair and mud. I has to step over several pieces of drug paraphernalia to the point where I had to crawl threw the passenger side. I then had to clean out the back of the truck, of DISGUSTING things before use. Upon drop of the vehicles I was told to get the KM and Gas which we didn't even check on pick up, I was then told I went 100km OVER use....which is IMPOSSIBLE- other then pit stops for gas, or snacks this truck went from welland to Chat. I then recieved a bill charged for way more then the agreed upon price, when I called to enquire I was told "I'm not seeing that price" and then told " hopefully someone will get back to you" I have NEVER been more disappointed in a rental company before in my life. Right now as it stands i wouldn't recommend Uhaul to anyone

Wayne RThey had to redo everything I already did online it ended up taking 15-20 minutes and ended up missing my pickup, my truck was also boxed in (by the other U-Haul trucks) and I had to drive it through a narrow gap and through the neighbouring property, they even asked me to put it back after parking it beside the building.. they wouldn’t even show me to the truck as it was just one girl working the register.. the U-Haul service at this location is completely an after thought and proper service is almost impossible with a gas station attendant who is already doing SOO much

PATRICK JYes but only as a U-Haul App pick up. There computer does not work and it took me over 90min to get a hold of someone from U-Haul to help dispatch the truck. Was not impressed with the pick up. You need to have a better plan to help out your clients.

I am handicap and was told I had to go out and take a picture of the mileage as the staff refused to assist. I have rented with uhaul many times in the past, this makes me question if I will again in the future.
Shelley CAlot can be done to improve the service at your location. Firstly, the person you have working in the store is rude and doesn't seems like she want be there. Secondly, when I pick the van that I reserved, it was unclean. There was coffee stain in front and the staring was sticky, cobwebs in the car and the back of the van was vert dirty. Thirdly, the gas in the van is at 30 miles which was barely empty. Usually, most u-haul stores keep there vehicles GAS tank to half. When I returned the van I left more gas in it then what they left in it. Fourth, when I return the van and expressed what I noticed from taking the van, the lady was not bordered and encourage me to leave a review with u-haul. Finally, I honestly wished I could get my money back because the whole experience was bad this time and I have pictures of the van to share with you to support this long comment. They need to do better.

KIM Wwell. when I went to clean the the not so clean truck, I found a couple joints under the seat. The dash had something spilled all over it..other than that. things were ok.
Anthony ZI was hoping for this to be a seamless transaction. Emotions and stress are heightened on moving day, so any misstep in the day feels so much bigger than it actually is. My truck was booked for 9 am. When I got there, the truck hadn't been checked in yet from the previous person. The keys were in the lockbox on time, the clerk just hadn't processed it yet. The clerk also had never dispatched a truck before, so she had to call someone else to walk her through step by step. In addition, she stopped every few minutes to take payment from customers coming in to pay for their gas. I didn't end up getting my truck until almost 9:30 She was a lovely girl, very friendly; she just didn't have the experience. My only suggestion would be to make sure your staff is fully trained on how to check in and check out trucks. I should have been able to walk in, grab my keys and go.
Brittney JOn June 14 I made a reservation for Movil Gas East Main St. Welland. and fill up the pre-check. But when a try to pick there was no reservation and had to do all paperwork again.
Alberto MVery bad English. I said no to dolly and some kid of pads but they were added anyway. Man was very sketchy upon return. Didn't come look at the vehicle with me. I was given a piece of paper saying it had 7/8 of gas when it was actually 3/4.

Truck was only 1/4 tank, was covered in snow and parked behind other vehicles that WE had to clean off and move only to find out the windshield wiper was broken and they could not fix it or offer alternative truck. Left without my truck and had to go to another location to rent.

I was not able to get my refund was unnecessarily charged for gas the next morning after i had already used the station to put gas in immediately before overal experience was terrible uhaul should be ashamed by the cuatomer experience thwy are providing
Ryan FWhen I was explained the truck rental the amount was first 15 miles included then 1.43 per mile extra but when o dropped off the truck this wasn’t true I paid for every mile as well I over filled the tank cause I wasn’t sure how much to put in and didn’t even get reimbursed for that my whole U-Haul experience was horrible if I need to rent a truck next time I may try another company

I needed to wait for the manager to come which was 15 minutes after my appointment, however someone else had one 30 minutes before me and they were still waiting. When returning the vehicle, a previous return was blocking most of the parking lot and I had no choice but to park a long a fence not made for parking.
Alex BLove your service, van from the East Main Street location could use a refresh. Always dirty inside. I have a food business and would prefer a clean, detailed rental. Niagara St van is spotless.

Mykola MI don't want to fault the location at all since this has little to do with them. It's not quite as easy to get in and out of that location due to the size and arrangement of the property, but I like the convenience of that location. My poor experience has to do with the vehicle itself. In all honesty, I didn't feel that the equipment was in safe condition. One of the red running lights in the back was mostly burned out and extremely dim. I believe the reverse lights were impaired as well because of how dim they are, but I couldn't verify this as I was the only person there. The Passenger door had to be slammed hard in order to be closed properly. The spring-loaded latch for the ramp needed to be manually pushed up. Anyone who forgets to do this will have the ramp crash down on the road if they accelerated up an incline. Most importantly, I believe that the front shock/strut mounts may be faulty and that at least one of the steering joints/knuckles is in need of replacement. The extremely unresponsive steering hints at these potential issues and the vehicle is simply not stable on the road. When going over any bumps slowly, you can hear the atypical knocking and clunking of a joint or knuckle and that is much louder when turning the wheel, again leading me to my theory as to what was wrong with the vehicle. I was going to address this at the location when I returned it but I was running low on time and I found that there was a lot of activity amongst the workers there and I felt that it might have been low on their priority if I did mention it. I assumed that U Haul would send me an email asking for feedback so I decided to wait and see if I received this and had I not, I would have reached out to you anyway. Unfortunately, I was so busy moving my daughter that I simply couldn't wait around long enough to speak to them. I've rented with U Haul many times and my overall experiences with U Haul have been positive, so this review does not in any way give me a negative impression of your company. I know that many people rent this equipment and many are not as experienced with larger vehicles and what to expect, nor do many people care to take the time to offer an in-depth evaluation. I simply hope you flag this particular vehicle for a check up with your mechanics or technicians. Other than that, thank you for all of the excellent service through the years.

KASHYAP SA few small things. The snow could of been brushed off the vehicle in anticipation of my arrival (i.e. windows, mirrors & roof). This would have allowed me to drive away without fear of having either obstructed vision or of causing a driving hazards to others due to blowing snow. The van bed was littered with "bark mulch" from the previous customer and had to be swept out before I could load the van. I found the overall rental process including the confirmation, estimates and billing invoices quite slick and efficient.
eric SOnline Order/Pickup - Pictures for cargo truck were way out of date, minor damages I had to report prior to taking vehicle. Back of the truck was dirty, full of leave and dirty. My 'guaranteed vehicle' was not available so they moved me locations and was originally charged for a dolly and furniture pads that I had said no to. Love u-haul but will not use this location again.
CHRISTIAN DUpon arrival the guy said ' let me find you another location, because there's alot of snow in our lot' He also said can you move it yourself to the parking spot. He did not want to process the return - he told me I could leave and he would process it later. Very poor service at this location

Natalie AUsed your vehicle for 1 small pick up. I brought it back after 1.5 hours and was over charged what was sated in the contract. Will not recommend Uhaul to anybody and will tell them of my experience. The location for pickup was very unorganized. Extreamly disappointed.
Greg PQuick and easy process, but the staff didn’t do a vehicle check when I returned the cargo van which seemed weird.
Katie HI had already reserved a few days prior and chose the self pick up option. When I went to the counter to pick up the keys. The girl at the counter just kept telling me it’s not working but wouldn’t advise what wasn’t working. She then called someone and got the keys for me after I kept asking what exactly wasn’t working. This caused a delay in our move & wasn’t a great experience to be panicked for no reason as the employee was not trained.

kim MHaving put on the information in on-line I was very disappointed to have to go through it all again with the counter staff. She was very difficult to understand and not particularly helpful. The vehicle itself had 90K+ miles on it and didn’t handle particularly well. Upon my return the counter staff was unable to confirm my charges and give me a receipt which he said I would receive via email in the next hour. All in all not a very pleasant experience.

Jocelyn CI always rent my uhaul s with cash and a deposit. This location told me they didn’t take cash even though I have previously used them- using cash. I requested and paid for a utility dolly. Never received it. Back of truck was filthy. Gas wasn’t where the attendant said it was. Other than thst it was fine.

lois o1. Interior of the cab was dirty, fruit seeds on the floor. 2. No one came out to walk around the vehicle with me. It didn’t seem important to him. 3. The rep stopped processing my rental twice to serve others coming in for gas and other items. It took over 20 minutes to get the key and leave. Although I have just moved to Welland, Members of my staff rent vans for my business in Hamilton (Ontario) every 2 weeks. I would not use this location again nor would I recommend it to anyone. I’m used to dealing with a cleaner, spacious location when I rent in Hamilton.
