Not much to improve. You did it right the first time! Initially I booked a cargo van for Saturday 12/5. Weather report was 87% chance of rain. Not good to move personal belongings in the rain. I called to cancel and asked if I can switch days to Sunday 12/6. They agreed and made the switch. No penalty, No cancellation fee. Nothing but good customer service. Picked the van up Sunday and Jim was extremely helpful. He was pleasant, professional and upbeat. So many people are in such foul moods these days. Moving isn't a fun experience, however this U-Haul location made my rental seamless and stress free. I might need to rent the van again, due to moving date changes. Can't wait :) Also, there were NO hidden costs and NO add-on surprises. At my age I don't like surprises!!! LoLglenn B.

Bob and John were outstanding and communicated very well with me. I'm a bit ashamed to admit that when I pulled up to and found the location to be a salvage yard my expectations were low. I was so wrong! Bob welcomed me and gave me plenty of information and quickly rented me a van that worked out well for my family's needs. I highly recommend them and will go beach again!John J.

I am very sure I declined the insurance coverage in the reservation. I did not double check the contract when I picked-up the vehicle that included $14.00 insurance. I wish I knew if it was my mistake or if it was added. If my mistake - then the location was excellent and very pleasent experience. These mistake would be avoided with a better U-haul reservation website. I had to go back and forth with multiple locations and times to find the correct equipment.Steve P.

I didn't get a call to check in. Was a pain to have my husband pick up the car, we had to get 2 people to verify him. I understand security but what are the chances that a stranger is going to pick up my vehicle at that time? It was a bit annoying.Gina A.

I reduced my rating of this location to 3 stars because I was charged $8 for a â€œSafe Towâ€ insurance policyholders I did not want, or agree to accept. On my first rental I declined everything on my reservation online, and then was asked at the time of rental...â€you want the Safe Tow coverage, right?â€ I said no, and did not get the charge. I rented again just a few days later and again declined everything online. When I picked up the trailer there was a â€œjust like the previous rentalâ€ conversation and off I went. I dropped off the rental after hours and received my closed out invoice next day with the unwanted $8 coverage. I immediately emailed my issue about the charge and it was completely ignored. I am now calling AMEX to dispute the charge, and will file a small claim action if necessary over a BS $8 charge that is pushed on customers. Nice guy, good location, but I refuse to pay this BS charge.David H.

My family has rented from this location probably 4 times in the last couple years. Each time John who runs it bends over backwards to accommodate us, to help us, to do what is necessary to make whatever move we have, big or small less stressful. I highly recommend this u-haul location!Jill C.

Not location specific...there was a tropical storm The morning I was to pick up my trailer. The power was out when I got there and they asked me to come back the next day. I booked a 3 day rental bc I was told by 800-Uhaul that was the minimum rental. I only had the Uhaul for 48 hours but I'm still being charged 3 days. I spoke to 2 agents for a refund for the day I was asked to come back and was told no it's a flat 3 day rate - even though I couldn't actually have it for 3 days. I understand the tropical storm is not Uhauls fault either but from a customer service perspective you should do the right thing and refund me a days cost.Jodi H.

A few things...first is that the bay door on the truck was difficult to open and close. It wasn't difficult enough to mention on its own, but after my checkout experience it became worth mentioning. The first issue was that nobody there was wearing a mask, not even when he came out from the back and was showing me to the truck. Then, he told me that if I returned the truck after hours to just drop the keys in the orange box. I did that and was already in the car heading back home when I started the online checkout, which asked so many questions and for actions that ALL REQUIRED I BE IN THE TRUCK! How many miles did I drive? What does the inside of the truck look like? I have no freaking clue! The truck was locked, off, and a mile behind me! That was incredibly frustrating. THEN I had to estimate the distance I drove, I overestimated so it didn't seem like I was trying to pull anything, and then I am charged for that distance. That is a flawed system! The location should have the responsibility of reporting those things since, you know, they have access to the keys that I don't have! This last part isn't the location's fault, but more a flaw in the whole U-Haul system. I picked a location 2 miles away...instead of making sure a truck was at that location, I was rerouted to a location 10 miles in the opposite direction of where I was going. That equates to about 22 extra miles driven or $44 added to my bill. Pretty ridiculous as far as customer service goes.Alex K.

My reservation was changed the night before, and I didn't find out until the morning. The time I originally reserved was changed and also the location. Included with the original reservation was 50miles, then a charge for every mile over that. My original pickup location was 0.7 miles from my house, the new location put me 26miles away. I went over by 23miles, and of course was charged extra.Krishna C.
