First off I would like to say I had to put my reservations in at Loves park location. U-Haul called me and asked me if I would like to switch to a different location if they gave me $.50 a mile which I agreed to do on that conversation I asked the question. Will there be somebody there to check me in and Will my equipment that I bought be there I was told yes I arrived just a little bit after 8 o’clock. No one was there by 9 o’clock. I got a hold of a corporate person. He walked me through what I needed to do to get in the truck after getting in the truck and I’m going through the checklist. The truck was dirty. Had dog hair everywhere as I started down the road lights on the dash came on started flashing for tire sensors. I had to make a trip back to Loves park, where I had originally scheduled my truck to get my equipment because the equipment was not with the truck all in all just a horrible experience this time with U-Haul and actually usually you guys are really good. I would not recommend this place here to no one and to be honest this Rental from U-Haul was very disappointing.

Zero communication from U-Haul about how to pick up my rental with key in lock box.
Crystal CSo, my comments are based on Uhaul overall, not this location. The staff was helpful, and courteous. The problem was that I rented a 15’ truck, but that one was not available, even though Uhaul had changed my pick up location, presumably so I could get that size truck. Upon arrival, I was informed that a 10’ truck had been substituted, and contract changed, without my knowledge. I had no choice but to use that truck, as that was all they had, and it will now cost me more to move what could not fit in that size. Plus, I had reserved 12 packing blankets, but was only given 6, and later had to return to get the rest. But even then, the second pack was not full. Not the greatest of experiences U Haul.
Darryl MNobody seemed to know what they were doing. It said they had appliance dolly and they didn't. We're very slow even though I ordered online before coming to the store. Thought I damaged the uhaul but never contacted me. I called them 10 hours after return as they didn't send receipt only to find they thought it was damaged. I asked why nobody called me. He said he couldn't answer my questions and he couldn't reach uhaul person. I then asked for corporate number which took him 10 minutes to find for me. The corporate person was super helpful but also couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. He sent an email with my contact information and said someone would reach out to me to get it settled but I received no contact from them just an email with the receipt. Would have been nice to get a call first to tell me there was an issue and second to say it was resolved. Very poor service and very slow to get booking. I have rented uhaul before at other places and have been very pleased. I would not recommend this location

DAN GWhen I picked up the U-Haul I notice the passenger side door was unlocked the window was down. As I got in it I noticed a strong smell off drugs. I had to roll down the window due to strong snell. The next day we packed to U-Haul with my furniture as I was getting ready to start driving to California from Rockford. The strong smell was there again. To my luck every time I would open the door after rolling up the windows at a gas station I could smell weed. As we got into Arizona. The truck out of nowhere turn off on me thank God I was in the first lane where I was able to pull over. And try to restart the truck. It was a rattles sound in the driver side. And seems lijevit has transmission issue. On top when I took my personal belongings that I put behind the driver seat I noticed my belongings where stain of white paint. (2 bugs/ sleeping bag / sweaters/ blanket plus I noticed the U-Haul has over 13,500 miles on it.
