Susan HThe location refused to check me in even though I picked that option when I made reservation. They referred me to the U Haul app which took a while and required me to call U-haul to switch my reservation to self check-in. I then had to wait for approval through the app, which took additional time and another reach out to U-haul. Overall it took 30+ mins to get the equipment when in reality it should take 5 mins.

Shantia MThe location was hard to find. The road the business is on has been moved around due to construction, so the road isn't called the same thing anymore. I left work early hoping to have someone help me in person but got lost and couldn't find the place. When I finally found the location, with my husbands help, they were closed. Since I wasn't the person who would drive, I had to go home, meet my husband after his shift and return back to the location to start the pick up process. That process was lengthy, annoying, and ridiculous. It's a good thing we had family available to answer the phone to "verify us".... I think a phone call to either myself or my husband should be sufficient enough. The process for pick up is ridiculous if a business isn't open. I have used uhaul multiple times over the years and this is the worst experience I've ever had. I also would like to mention that I was on the phone most of the day trying to figure out where we would pick up the truck because the business we originally had the pick up at, was closed. I'm a registered nurse and work a 12 hour shift and had to leave my patients to continue calling to figure out when and where a new pick up spot would be. When I called about it, the customer service rep said the business was open on her end. My husband called me because they were closed and he left work to get keys on his lunch hour. The truck had dirt in the drivers side floor board and the passenger side floor board. Anything and everything that could've went wrong, went wrong with this experience. I even had to cancel the movers. Just a big mess.

Jim GWe were not notified there was an after hours pick up charge. We were also given a truck with less than a full tank, then got charged for gas. Not super happy with this.
Derek BI would recommend the location again, but the truck had a check engine light on, one tire had a low pressure warning (which went off when the tire warmed up, so it probably wasn't urgent, and there was existing damage that had been marked, but was not on the app's pictures. The service was responsive and fine. thank you.

JENNIFER TI was not contacted back within 48 hours, as my order summary said I would be. I am still waiting to find out if I will receive a moving truck and tow caddy for my car. I need confirmation very soon or I will have to go with another company.

Ramakrishnareddy CThe Uhaul truck was clean, but the transmission needs maintenance. When putting the truck into gear, it would not connect until I gave it a lot of gas, which caused the truck to lurch either backwards (if in reverse) or forwards. This made it difficult at stop lights and backing into or out of spots.

Pat CThe storage facility itself was very nice, however, the truck that they gave me was not. For starters, it was very dirty and it was obvious it had not been cleaned for quite a while. The truck had a seriously deflated tire when I got it that had to be replaced by a roadside service. The windshield wipers were broken (wiper inserts torn and the insert springs were detached from the wipers and bent), so I had to replace those before my trip. The wide angle mirror on the drivers side started to fall off toward the end of the trip. In short, I was given a truck that was unsafe to drive, especially in the rain (which it did rain during my trip). It would not even have passed VA state inspection with the wipers the was they were. I don't know who is supposed to maintain these trucks, but in my case it ended up being the customer (me). This was a very bad experience, and I won't be using U-Haul again.

CHARLESJOSEPH TI greatly appreciated the kind and courteous customer service from My Storage employees and can't think of anything they could have done better! The U-HAUL website struggled to pull up and crashed a few times on my phone as well as their computer. That was about the only thing I would like to see improved in the future.

DANIEL Lmy truck's battery died, got jumped by roadside, then died AGAIN the next day. please get U-Haul to maintain these trucks properly

GREGORY SThe steering was extremely loose making it a memorable driving experience...not in a good way. Vehicle could use some major mechanical work.
DAVE RRental was fine. This location closes early so had to do an after hour return. The on-line return process is cumbersome and I was never able to complete the process on my smart phone. I called the location the next day and she completed the return for me. All is good.
MARK AThe reservation was made online and the location failed to set it up on the original date. It took nearly an hour for someone to answer the call when I reached out for help. I had to reschedule for the following day and make new arrangements with the person I was getting furniture from. Very inconvenient. The person that helped me over the phone did not offer any type of discount for the inconvenience, which I felt was very deserved, plus the made it a 4 hour reservation when I only needed 2. Thank God I noticed the error and was able to make adjustments or I would have had to pay a lot more. Was not a great experience. I did however like the fact that I was able to rent the truck only for the time I needed it and nit the entire day like other places. If I could get some kind of refund to my credit card, I would really appreciate it.

DIONS GWas completely unable to check in online to return truck - uhaul website kept telling me it couldn't confirm my location despite location being turned on. Was grateful for the very helpful person working at My Storage for assisting with what was supposed to be an easy return. Truck was not filthy but not clean either- felt like it had been with the fleet for a while
SUSAN CThis started off bad... your app didn't work... finally got the truck for 11am to 9pm... turned it in at 5:30pm... app still isn't working so I get charged for a second day when I was way ahead of time... advice: make your key return digital... you should put a code in to return after hours... unless you like stealing from your customer... I promise I will never use you again!!! You were a recommendation... I will not recommend... I tried calling several times to no avail... very unprofessional!!!

DARRYLGARTH GThe *location* is fine. Uhaul, on the other hand, made numerous mistakes throughout this process. I spent well over half an hour helping Uhaul fix these errors on the phone. Uhaul later attempted to collect more money from me, which I did not owe. I refused and was told I'd receive a call from Uhaul with 48 hours to resolve. 48 hours has come and gone, no phone call. Previous experience with Uhaul has been similar. When renting from Uhaul I make the assumption that you are going to make many mistakes and require lots of hand-holding by me to fix. Staff at the location confirmed that nearly every Uhaul customer that goes through it have stories like mine. It's a good thing you're cheap, because at your best, your service is awful..

Armstead JEverything was good except towards the return. It was on 1/2 tank when I got it depending on how you sit in the driver's seat so I returned it on the 1/2 mark and the argument was because the needle left the mark just a very tiny bit seen, she told me it wasn't 1/2 full BUT it was on the mark. So my response was so you want me to run down the street and put in .50 or .75 cents of course she said no. After the back and forth she said that she didn't charge me for it, I believe it was not anything to describe her version of NOT 1/2 full or SLIGHTLY LESS then perfectly 1/2 full. IF YOU USE THIS LOCATION make sure to take a picture of the mileage, gas and inside the cargo cause I was about to be accused of taking the dolly also. 🤔😶

DAVID DBetter system to understand when people could be dropping vehicles off. I arrived the same day as I picked up, and they were not expecting me for another 36 hours.
WILLIAMBENCK SI didn't create my account at the beginning of the rental, instead waited until I was done. This caused the link to expire and prevented me from being able to use the app to check out. I turned in the truck, and dropped off the key in the drop box, without any confirmation that my checkout had completed successfully. The app reported that someone from Uhaul would call me, they did not.
