Location was collocated inside a junk / tire yard. U-Haul signed were barely visible and the was no real way to enter the facility except a garage door…I had to call to get the representative to open the door. Once inside there was no real office / customer area, so we completed the paperwork in the garage…the whole time with a King Corsa (large dog) not very happy to have me there. The reservation got changed by the representative and it took be 45, working with a 800-go U-Haul rep, to get it changed back to my original reservation. Overall a very long and frustrating experience.

JOHN BAfter being moved here (30 min drive away) from my preferred location, I wanted to get an earlier start so I could get loaded and on with my day. Called the location to get the hours and confirm my truck would be there. Showed up right after opening hours and nobody was there. Called and was told they’d be there in 5 min in total I waited half an hour before anyone showed up from the time I arrived. Then it took 45 min to get the truck bc the first truck they tried to give me wasn’t eligible to be rented in their system. Finally they did not have the dolly that I needed to move and the only recourse they offered on their end was removing the dolly from my fees. Leaving me to figure out how to move all my stuff on my own. The only bright spot was the employee at the pickup location they were nice and helpful and I don’t attribute any of the issues to them.

We traveled from Indiana to Florida last week - We rented a 26ft truck and a car transporter on our way (day 1) we had a blowout on the transporter - your team dispatched someone immediately and they came and put a new tire on, the 2nd day of travel we had another blow out on the other side of the transporter again you dispatched someone immediately to our location and they put a new tire on. There was constant communication with Uhaul and us during this process and it made us feel safe and secure in our travel. Once we got to FL our closing was pushed back a few days and your customer service center in Myakka City FL - waived the extension fees for a few days for us! It was truly a blessing for us! I will highly recommend Uhaul to ANYONE I have been telling everyone about the fabulous customer service from Joe Miller at Millers in Shelbyville IN (where we left) to Myakka City Uhaul (in Myakka FL). Cheryl MThe truck I rented this time was older and had some power issue. Seemed like the transmission was having a hard time getting in gear. The inside of the cab was pretty dirty. Old spilled drinks and stains in and around the cup holders. We also had a hard time getting cell service out there. If there is onsite guest Wifi to connect to, that would make the process of pick up much easier. Took almost an hour to get the app to work.

David C24/7 log in process was a nightmare. Spent 1 hour and 12 mins on the phone(Genece) trying to get a lockbox code to retrieve the keys. She was awful and didn’t help. She would leave me on hold for 15-20 mins and come back and ask me the same questions. The truck had sunflower seeds and a cigarette butt in the cab. The dolly we rented wasn’t in the truck. The worker from this location called me and said he could see us from the Dollar General across the street where he was at and was coming right over to give us the dolly. We waited 25 mins and he never showed up. One of the worst experiences dealing with a company ever. I requested a call back from the Regional manager Johnathan and never got one. I probably made 15-20 calls over a 2 day period trying to fix all the problems and locate another dolly and drop off location. I will never use uhaul again. I will say there was a couple uhaul employees along the way that did help. One was Nikki in corporate escalation. Mother was Johnathan the Bradenton supervisor. There was an employee who added miles to my rental, but I can’t remember her name and another night supervisor who also helped, but I can’t remember her name either.

Not open to supply my equipment as scheduled, was told to just take one, had to hook up trailer myself, was as rude as an individual could be on the phone to the point he was mean. The first trailer the owner told me to take by phone had very old bald tires. I HIGHLY recommend a UHaul representative inspect this facility. Do not go here for UHaul equipment period! This whole rental experience was a nightmare with this place that looks like a hoarders junkyard.

Robert AJohn was friendly and accomodating; quite easy to work with. We had to change our departure date twice, due to work related issues, and he was kind and understanding about it. It lessened the stress of the move considerably. The truck looked, and drove like practically brand new. All-in-all a good experience under trying circumstances.

Ricky HAn exhaustive and ridiculous experience 3.5 hours later! I was trying to be patient for the first couple of hours, because John said u-haul changed the check in process, so he didn't know how to do various things to push my reservation through, then his computer didn't work, nor the printer, etc. He kept blaming u-haul saying he wasn't going to work with them anymore, but it seemed like maybe he didn't know how to use his own computer or anything either (well, he even said that). Then he wanted me to leave without signing a contract or anything. The trailer was full of dirt/sand and back door broken so it wouldn't seal, which meant it took on water while traveling across country in rain and snow. It forced me to unload, clean and repack the thing in another state. I bought weather stripping then, which kept it from leaking anymore too. I noticed the door stuck when he gave it to me and inquired about it, but he said it'd be fine. He did flip my hitch and ball around when I asked so it wouldn't drag as low, which was appreciated, but he stripped the heck out of the brand new bolt too. Very frustrated and wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. It definitely wasn't the quality of service I'm used to experiencing with u-haul.
Jessie JTruck dropped off with 1/4 of a tank more gas than when I picked it up but I was charged $2 for over mileage! ? U-Haul has the lowest mileage allowance of competitors; need to consider size of geographic area! Convenience was deciding factor.

Marvin HWe were not happy with our experience of picking up our trailer or the communication as to where to pick it up. We were told we would be able to pick it up at a location in Arcadia, Florida, or, if it was not going to be available there we would be called two days prior to the pick-up as to where it would available. We were not called and the location was changed to about 25 miles further away. However, we were sent an email, but we were told we would be called. Picking up the trailer 25 miles away from where we thought we were going to be able to pick it up was just very inconvenient; plus, we weren't notified early enough to make adjustment in our schedule.
