I reserved a 15 foot truck. I drove from San Diego to find out all they had was a 10 foot truck. They said there were no 15 foot trucks in all of Los Angeles. That's unacceptable. Also the mileage of the truck on the contract was higher than the actual mileage in the truck. If I didn't catch it, I would have owed a lot more.

The location of my rental pickup was changed and I did not get any notification. The new location closed at 4 but I rented the truck until 5:30 so I did not get to use the truck for the full time of my reservation.

When reserving, appeared this drop off location was staffed, however, the smog company tech, who shares the location, informed me that self-check was required due to Covid-19. So what i thought would be minutes for a return, took me 45-60 mins, with downloading app, taking pictures --which I had to pull the truck out again to do.

The trunk of the truck was dirty, it looked like clay or sand, I had to clean it before and after using it, so as not to dirty my furniture and also, because if I didn't clean it, they would charge me the cleaning fee. I rented the Furniture and Appliance Dolly, but it was not in the truck that I booked 2 days in advance and there was also none available in the store I booked and also in none nearby. I had to walk in 3 different places looking for Dollies, but I couldn't find it anywhere and I still had to take the mileage that I went from one place to another and the items I didn't even use, and I couldn't find it anywhere. They informed me that they would refund the amount paid, but it's been a week since I returned the truck and so far nothing, I just spent unnecessary money for something I didn't even use

I had a slight issue with the first truck I got because there was an unexplained padlock on the back that prevented me from opening it. So, I had to take the truck back to get another one which set me back about half an hour. However, the guy allowed me to return the vehicle much later at no charge.

Online it said I could pick up my rental at 7:30am. I get there it then tells me that I have to wait til 8:30am when this place opens before I can pick up my truck, which ruins my schedule for the day. I wait til 8:30am. Online it now says that my reservation has been cancelled. The guy there is completely unhelpful. He just tells me to call some random number and then finally at close to nine I get the truck from some random dude named John and I'm on my way, an hour half later than my original rental time.

Have some discounts If you don't use the miles the you don't use Like me you give me 282 miles and I only use 232 miles And I over fill the gas tank by 10 dollars

The App is really frustrating. This is the second recent time I've used it with issues. I was unable to upload any photos at the start of my reservation. I returned in exactly the same condition, it was a tiny bit dirty (I found it to be totally acceptable) but I will be upset if I get any charges because I returned it with more gas in the same condition.

The location provider was excellent but your internal U-Haul communication is terrible. I could not reach the telephone number for the location, a U Haul number. Your office could not reach the number either and I was told a supervisor would call me in a half hour. This did not happen. I finally went to the location and received excellent service from National Smog and Repair Center. On my way there I received a text directing me to Lincoln Bl. in Santa Monica, far out of my way at 4:00PM on a Friday, all because you were not able to communicate amongst yourselves. When I returned the truck and informed the provider he called and the phone problem had been fixed. I hope this is helpful

Made reservation for pick up at 10:30AM for 6 hours. Truck wasn't available until 1pm and was then told I had to return it by 4pm or if have to keep it until Monday (2.5 days later). Had to make most my move without the truck and then had to rush to get the last of it done to get truck back. Very stressful.

This location was my 2nd of the day. I made the first reservation by phone and was confirmed for pick up at the motor dealer ship on venice blvd, he doesn't rent anymore. This delayed my ENTIRE DAY. I'm a personal assistant and I'm so disappointed because I used to work in sales and reservations at UHaul... I'm really going to hear it from my boss....bad experience for sure....stephluv@hotmail.com

We got charged for an extra day even though we returned the rental right on time. The employee told us to leave the keys and he would take care of it as he was busy with another customer.. at first thought we were like great ! Then realized we got charged because he completed the paperwork to return the vehicle 40 min after we returned it. I don't find it acceptable to get charged for another person's mistake.

TERRIBLE experience. Took me 3 whole hours to get checked in online with the self service check in. after spending all that time when I was in a rush, I was forced to deal with the random smog employee to get this sorted at the location. The most complicated and disorganized check in and dropoff I had ever experienced. There was No employee even available at dropoff time...

Have the truck I requested. Have the equipment I requested. Not overbook locations. Call when you say you'll call. Refund my money because you didn't have what I needed when I requested it days in advance.

Originally was supposed to drop off at National Blvd Self Storage location 10321 National Blvd (this was an available option and confirmed at time of reservation). When I showed up there, the woman at the counter said they no longer "do U-Haul" despite there being U-haul signs everywhere and a U-haul truck on the premises. She offered only another location in Santa Monica. Very frustrating and lucky I was early so there was still time to go to the National Smog & Check location where luckily I was able to drop off. But, if I hadn't been early I would have had to keep the truck an extra night (and I was flying out of town the next morning). U-Haul NEEDS to take National Self Storage OFF their website so other customers don't run into this problem. Very unprofessional.

The owner of the location was very adamant about me returning the truck before 8:30am the following day. He was very strict and kept telling me it HAD to be retuned by 8:30am because a different customer would be needing it by 9am. I waited over 40 minutes for him to open the gates to his shop and he never showed. I had to call the 1800 number for instructions on returning the truck to avoid extra daily charges.

Returning the truck was really easy. It was not clear at first that charges for extra miles would be assessed later, and that after handing in the keys I could leave, but this is really a very minor thing

I was charged for two days but I only had the car out for less than one day! The man even pressured me to have the van back by 11 a.m., which I did, so why was I charged for an extra day?!

While the location and man I dealt with were excellent, U-Haul failed to provide to him the dozen pads I had reserved. He helped me with the loan of three pads of his own, but the company should be better about delivering to him items ordered by the customer.

The employee who was there was barely trained in what to do when renting a Uhaul to a customer. When we asked him questions he got defensive and gave us confusing answers. He repeatedly called his boss to ask him questions and even put the boss on speaker phone to tell us things. I paid for 12 furniture blankets, but he said they only had 10. It turned out that they only gave us 9. He told me that I would not be charged until I turned the Uhaul in to the other location, but I was immediately charged by him on a card that I did not want to use. When my boyfriend called to tell them there were only 9 blankets, the boss talked over him and was extremely defensive. I was appalled by the poor customer service at this location. I do not believe they should be certified to rent Uhauls.

The truck was great. No issues with that at all. But the business providing the truck couldn't figure out how to charge me. They charged my credit card twice for the wrong amount (hundreds more than actual balance due). Once that card got locked out I had to use a second credit card. They could never figure out how to credit the first card so had to dispute the charges with my bank.
