My wife and I picked up a 6x12 trailer while on our way to help move my oldest son. The pickup location got changed a few days ahead of time, but it was still on our route and U-Haul gave us a $25 discount, so no issue there. Our pickup time was set for 12:00 noon. We drove about 6.5 hours to get there on time, but when we arrived, the person running the location was on vacation and the owner had stepped out for lunch just before noon. He got back around 12:30, even though he knew we were there waiting. When he returned, he walked past us, went inside, and ended up helping another couple who came in after us before taking care of us. We waited another 20 minutes after already sitting there. Once we finally got the trailer, the process felt rushed and not very helpful. Overall, it would really help if smaller U-Haul locations could clearly set and follow their hours, especially around lunch, so customers aren’t left waiting.
